Playing with friends, doing strategy, doing some Premade VS Premade and 45mn game with massive stress when everyone have 2/3 flags .
It’s really fun, and I think WoW missed a great opportunity to make WSG a thing in eSport scene.
The player base at high ranks try hard, lot of consumables, lot of optimized composition, and it’s nice to fight with the 2020 knowledge of WoW Vanilla.
For all players who don’t have premade, you should really think about searching a premade, because it’s way more fun to ranks with players that have the same experience like you.
I understand why Alliance love AV premade, because it’s just … way more fun to play with friends and with organized things.
I think everyone agrees WSG premades are incredibly fun. And expensive. And time-consuming. The issue is that time spent in a BG does not equate to honor gained. The worst honor you can get is a long BG. And if you’re premading you’re mostly doing it to farm honor as fast and efficiently as you can, so you can get a good standing and advance towards your rank.
(In fact, I bet hordes will be bawling their eyes out when they get matched against the fully consumed R14 premades in the upcoming weeks)
If I could just 1v1 wpvp all day to R14 that would be what I would do. But that’s not efficient. I’d have to play 70 hours per day, every day, every week. Obviously a single day is limited to 24 hours, so that’s just not possible. Same goes for premade vs premade WSG - assuming it’s an even match. It’s just not efficient. When you need to farm 600-2000k honor per week for 13 consecutive weeks, you need to play it smart. Sadly the smart way isn’t necessarily the most fun way.
WSG premades are really fun, especially when everyone is on an even footing.
It’s also fun when you get pitted against PvE rankers who are completely out of their depth now that they have to actually fight other players and don’t have a legion of healers to carry them.
Well because of the queue changes everyone can now reliably join as a premade which actually opens up the possibility of fair fights, so i’m happy.
Sigh, if only, but alas the WoW ranking system is and always will be canine excrement.
I miss P1 and the first week of P2.
