Brother, you already know the voice changer schtick doesn’t work, why you are continuing to pretend is beyond me.
Going back to the same playbook from 4 years ago and hoping for different results is some really inspired work.
hi lilynore do you remember that one time in 2020 when you screenshotted my RP in assemblage of uld and edited the chat to make it seem like i was doing s*x rp in terrible english and posted it on the forums
i was 16 at the time and it was really really strange and creepy to experience
please delete your accounts thanks
To be fair, that’s not a very HARD thing to achieve…
i lost my trust level 3 forever for posting the images of lilynore and the night elf johnny blackrock in silverpine forest
no regrets
i can never forget his name because it’s so wildly iconic for a night elf to be called that
I just had a brilliant idea, follow me on this!
Okay, so I’m going to go find a new WoW server to join, I’ll also do it on a brand new account it just makes sense. And then I’m gonna find a guild, that’s no problem!
I’m now in my new guild, cool I’m getting to know people now and the server. Oh, the guild leader wants me, the person who just joined today to make the forum recruitment post?
Of course, I’ll do it! that’s clearly something people do all the time when they join new guilds!
Wait, what’s this? People are saying the guild leader has a really shady history? I better not believe them and ask for their opinion on the matter, hmm…
I know! I’ll make a brand new discord account with a randomly generated username and no profile picture, and use that to message the guild leader! Flawless!
Oh, they said it’s all a lie, even though over a dozen people have all shared very detailed experiences that all match up and even provided some screenshots and videos…
I guess we’ll never know, both sides could be wrong I’ll double down and stick to the guild though, that seems like the most neutral approach!
Lilynore being worn like a beanie and spun around like a beyblade is always hilarious.
I’m all for holding the group formerly known as the PCU accountable for the toxicity they spread in the community and the attitude they’ve fostered. Especially since conversing with any of them, they seem entirely incapable of doing so themselves, or even acknowledging the untold multitude of stories and anecdotes about their awful politicking & treatment of fellow RP’ers.
But holy this is actually an insane initiative and I really do wonder what cocktail of back-alley fent, boiled mushrooms, and horse tranquillizers made this seem like a somewhat reasonable idea.
Not werewolves or spacegoats, just you Obahar I think!
Vixi and I had a lot of fun killing them over and over back in BFA before they quit the server. They were really, really bad at PvP
I still have the screenshots
Cope. Terrible life in the real world so gonna RP someone they can never hope of being.
Even I have a mention from COAD - and I don’t think i’ve ever been part of a PCU guild
I think the word you’re looking for here is rumours.
Case in point lmao, we’re an online community of writers, not a courtroom.
Lillynore just post on your main already and stop pretending you’re somebody else.
You’ve always been really bad at it.
M-me?
Nah, there’s definitely been things that officers (maybe even GMs) have done that I’ve personally seen. I think making those actions reflect on everyone is taking it a bit far but in some instances I can’t blame people who do. I do think that’s also largely irrelevant at this point though because most if not all of them have quit the game at this point.
This is a huge part of it, but it’s also the fact that none of the other players did anything to take action against these bad actors. As you mention yourself, they weren’t removed (Save for maybe Morsteth once his political favour ran out), they quit on their own after a while. They were so wholly terrible at removing bad actors from their groups, that it still feels like flipping a coin on bullying/harassment to interact with these people. Even if those who remain aren’t bad or even took part in it at all, clinging so desperately to their names and titles has come with an association and they refuse to make up for what that entails.
Louder for the people in the back.
Inb4 a certain deranged blog calls you a terrible person and a blight on humanity, for daring to approach the subject with nuance and respect.
On topic: Someone who uses a voice-changer online is a huge red flag. Might be a controversial opinion, but it’s just catfishing to me. And dangerous in this person’s case.
They’re already been there, they hate that I don’t mess with jade witch caravans on god
There could be a moot point in regards to LGBT issues for this… But you’ll find me with my dear toaster on the harbour before I run defense for Lilynore, as it clearly doesn’t apply to him.
That’s fair, I didn’t think about that!
off topic but i just started playing albanian truck simulator and it’s really cool
I think the remaining guilds are now in a bit of a “damned if you do, damned if you don’t” situation though. Because if they operate under the same name as prior then it’s an endorsement - and I don’t think they do actually endorse the stuff done by the alt-right higher ups of certain guilds. And I do think that is important to note - it really was only certain guild cultures that had it. The Dustpaw were (and almost 100% still are) incredibly queer-friendly and progressive, the Argents were a chill lot and I don’t think ever held any controversial views - “”“ironically”" or sincerely.
This isn’t news on my part - I’ve been pretty vocal about the fact I asked to be given a heads up if we were interacting with Grim Gest because frankly I didn’t want to engage with them - there’s a lot of attitudes I disagree with in there and while I don’t bring OOC drama to IC, I will exclude myself if the atmosphere’s uncomfortable, and that request was obliged. I can’t imagine I was the only one that asked that, and if I was genuinely the only person who asked then I’m certainly not the only person who thought to ask.
If you wanna label me as whatever for being in those guilds or defending those specific guilds then it’s kinda whatever, but I do genuinely think most folk in there were decent and would likely’ve pushed for change if they didn’t think doing so would totally ostracize them. At the end of the day, this is a hobby - I don’t think it’s entirely fair to blame folk for not wanting to cause “drama” by speaking candidly.
Thankfully back then it was just that really obnoxious pitch-up where it’s super clear to all involved that it’s a voice changer. The evolution of AI genuinely has me worried with how easy it is to fake a voice, especially given that it can now be done in real-time.
