It is definitely a difficult topic.
Personally, I have always supported a “Live and Let Live” approach. I have no issues role-playing with single individuals from the PCU, or even very small groups, provided I have the power to curate my experience.
With the community as a whole, however, I really see very few benefits. Why should I engage with a group that is most likely going to wear me down with an approach that is stressful, incompatible with mine, and so forth?

half the place defending and the other half pretending to not see a thing because ‘well the rp is nice :)’ when it comes to Phrenology enthusiasts was simply very memorable and kept alive by terrorism fans posting up to a few months ago, really don’t think its weird that people remember some of the names and behaviours others were perfectly on board with for years up until like a year or so ago
Man this was a wild ride and turned out exactly as I expected what a wreckage.
I hope people can just move on with stuff and get back to enjoying the game and vibing with their friends than holding onto grudges from over 6 years ago.
Game has changed alot and so have people.
Same people causing issues 6 years ago are probably completely different people now and yeah you might have moments of relapses but generally I’d assume most people be it from either side of the fence have learnt to just mellow out and jive with what they want to do.
Half the time you interact with people you never know who they actually are and chances are most anti pcu people are RP’ing with pcu people without realising and enjoying it.

Said Terrorism fans were promptly deleted and their guild is no longer associated with us, fyi.
That guild was also inactive for a considerable amount of time prior, which is why they had access to the tag without us able to moderate it.
I have no idea if anyone’s said it publically, but in case people aren’t sure the comments on that thread were out of line and we don’t want anything to do with the people that made them.

Definitely. I don’t mind rping with PCU people, I certainly have problems with certain individuals, I think most people just dont mess with the whole package and what it entails.

I’d heard something along those lines (and mentioned it in my previous post as well!) but it’s good to have the confirmation that they were removed rather than left of their own accord
I just don’t think it’s particularly incredulous that people remember some of the particular figures that were strongly associated with the PCU and its leadership like Morsteth, who also showed up for that occassion (and also no longer associated from what I understand?) just a few months ago an were still actively around up to about a year and a half ago, roughly. A lot of the figures that caused a lot of the sour reputation (at least imo, im sure the people like the ones that made this guild have very different reasons for it…) were around up until quite recently and are who come to mind when ‘PCU’ as an entity (vs specific guilds) is mentioned
you and I must live in very different universes if you think that half of whatever these people are were defending stormbinder and the real and supposed misdeeds he had done
also, stormbinder was long, long gone from the guild, pcu, and the game itself by the time that comment was done

I know that for you, and for a lot of the guilds, that’s absolutely the case.
I also genuinely believe that if it happened a few years earlier there would’ve been guys defending it being like “c’mon it’s just an edgy joke what are you OFFENDED or something 
” from the exact same people that Adelais just mentioned.
To be clear I do think that distancing yourself from those people is objectively a great thing, I just wish it had happened way, way earlier.
This, really. Also, please. I know some of you just don’t want to be dragged into conflicts you never took part in. We can all respect that.
However. Do not victim-blame those who feel uncomfortable with the PCU (for one reason or another) into role-playing with them as if their grievances were just an hallucination or a accidental issue that will not happen again. You are not mending bridges. And you should not decide for us.
