Could it be an issue with sharding not being as balanced as Blizzard made it out to be then? I was somehow left under the impression that shards would balance factions as best as possible to offer a fair experience, yet every camp, every major cross-faction meeting place is basically a horde camp on my server group. I do notice when the Alliance dominates, because of how rare it is. I even take screenshots to celebrate!
Yup if i had an option to use those pvp talents without warmode on that WM would have been completely off 2 years now 30% more useless resources are not really a selling point for me when sometimes game becomes unplayable for hours or full day because of raid groups hunting people to kill.
And doing quests take so long that the 30% should at that point be 90% to actually compensate the lost time.
I am aware of what WM on gives you thanks.

WPVP has always and will always be the same, one faction dominates the other and camps them. Alliance do the exact same thing, it’s not one specific faction.
As I said, you don’t get free rewards for nothing. Turn wm off, go hand in the quest and you’ve saved yourself the effort of this post.
The shards are balanced (as they can considering disparity) until people start forming parties and in particular raid groups and phase everyone into their shard.
Drop the faction barriers for pve/pvp.
It would literally fix the population issue and possibly even fix the story.
Sounds like a different game.
A different game is what the devs themselves are playing with their endless cross faction and cross racial interactions thrown in our faces.
And this is the time for world of Warcraft to become free for all pvp and pve. Put the war into Warcraft, not factioncraft.

Well what’s the problem then? Because I’m definitely not going to buy that all these faction imbalance posts saying that the Horde outnumbers the Alliance across every region are a product of a collective delusion or genetical wiring for Alliance players to be whining babies ^^

WM should have been everybody against everybody after N’zoth would have made the world his madness world should have been complete chaos outside priest blessed sanctuary cities in WM just like Grand Theft auto games with cheat code on where everybody attacks each others and with 90% more resources but everything and i mean everything open world is hostile from critters to city guards.
Even back in WC2 we had humans teaming up with orcs.
In WC3 there were more factions that just orcs vs humans, and in wow that unforuntatly regressed with absurd alliances such as Night Elves and Theramore somehow ending up under the alliance with the prior having no notable relations and the later despised for costing the Alliance their Navy.
The faction system that is pushed onto us the player is literally a net negative to gameplay, community and story.
And you can form bands of misfits to battle pretentious “faction pride” militias.
That would have been amazing!
Don’t mention the association of mildy infuriated minecraft tools for wheat acquisition.
Imbalanced racials lead to people switching sides and that caused a chain reaction in the rest of the community to switch to Horde because you know the best players went there because of racial so we also gonna do it because ya know best players and so on.
Unbalanced racials are baiting Blizz and players in their butts now. What was a minor thing has become a compounding problem which eventually broke faction balance.
Alliance has the better racials tho?
Now we are seeing the same as we did when realms weren’t shared. Namely that either Horde or Alliance side will be populated with the other mostly dead. Only that now it’s happening on a grander scale across the board and we are essentially stuck with only 1 effective realm.
It’s honestly absurd to see this issue from vanilla still go on.
