But that is just not true. No matter where I look people whine that DHs do nothing but 2 button spam. While that itself is not even true, even less right now with Glaive Tempest and Essence Break.

They got rid of the last part too and made the Class extremely butter but did that stop our all time favorite green orc Rakar to complain about them still having any sort of viable damage left when they landed UBC?

Not really, because once again Mages dmg extends past Frostbolt Frostbolt Frostbolt, Lance Lance Lance. If you’re just throwing things out there like that your going to lose alot of dmg on your go’s. using the procs and icicles at the proper times is very important. Thats the biggest difference between the 2… DH can just go and hit all buttons and had insane pressure (or used to) Mage had to build their dmg up and use it at the correct times or ALL you’d end up being on a go is casting Frostbolt and you’d end up forcing very little. Theres nuance to min maxing Mage dmg (Frost anyway) DH doesn’t have that… spam dmg on a DH you have high pressure, spam Frostbolt on a Mage you’ll have very little pressure.

So you agree again? I dont see the problem in this discussion, you just keep on ranting that Mage is more than just Frostbolt spam. YES, you have to peel with Polymorphs, Novas, Spellsteal Overgrowth HotS, etc. Want to hear a big surprise? DH HAS TO PEEL TOO! /gasp /shook, man what a f*cking surprise! I have to Dispell my Mates, I have to give them Dark, peel with stuns and Imprison, just like you do with your mage with poly for example?

Okay the the primary difference here is if a Mage wants to peel he CAN be stopped with kicks and stuns and the novas can be dispelled, if a DH wants to reverse or use dark he can’t be stopped because its instant. There is a way around it yes, if you cc him on the go along with the healer but again you can do this to a Mage too, but a Mage has to deal with kicks aswell a DH doesn’t that’s one layer less of difficulty a DH doesn’t deal with.

I don’t see why you are hinging on me saying MLX was stupidly easy? its no secret that a noob Mage could see some success with that comp in S4. But if you take that same Mage and put him in an RMP he’d die over and over because he can’t play like a bot outside of MLX. Thats my whole point… a Mage in MLX isn’t a great measure of skill because of the nature of that comp.

The biggest problem here is that you make it look like Mage damage is rocket science. It is no rocket science to save up 2 FoF procs and Brainfreeze after getting that wanted polymorph off to deal insane pressure. Heck, in Legion your spec did little else than Ebonbolt into Flurry and that usually resulted in a free kill from the extreme pressure.

Are you seriously complaining about DH that it is a melee? No matter which melee peels, all of it is instant. Just like most Caster peeling requires cast time.

And DH peeling is even easier to play around now since they are completly reliant on Fel Rush now to get any work done, and even when they do that well they are mediocre at it. They have to kite, pressure and peel with 2x Fel Rush charges all at once while being extremely squishy. Genuinely surprised why this Class dropped dead with the pre-patch overnerfs.

Please correct me if I am wrong here, but where did I say that it is easy to get that Polymorph off against double melees training you for example? I just said you dont do much else than as Fire Gpyro and Polymorph rotation.

Where have I said that exactly one bit? I just said that melee peeling is usually instant because they have to be close. Rangeds have the advantage of, well, range, but get the drawback of cast times usually. Cyclone, Fear, Poly, Mind Control, etc.

And that just wont ever happen. They said from the first interviews that they want the class to be like this. But there is still NO NEED to flame the players that want to play the class and its fantasy like 80% of the people do. Getting high rating is impressive on any class and spec.

And that is still 400 rating higher than you have been in 2s and 100 rating higher than I have played in that same season. Wheres your point mate? Our class was beyond strong in 2v2 against anything but Rogue and Destro and you have only reached 2k after your 1.500 Games.
