Does anyone else get this system message like all the time when in a battleground?

It’s an addon in conflict, i think it is DBM or healcomm.

I don’t have either of those addons and I get it.

It is an addon though - i just tried with 0 addons enabled and no message.

I play with DBM (not the PvP mod), and a lot of other addons but I never get that error message. You probably have something that’s communicating with the raid group, and can’t do it because BGs aren’t raid groups anymore, they’re its own type of group called “Battleground”.

because a battleground group is different then a raid group, use /bg instaid of /raid

But I don’t have any addons which share information I don’t know what is causing it. I only have “passive” addons i.e. cast bars, map changes, auctioneer etc., nothing that actively tries to do something.

Have you tried deactivating one addon at a time to see if the problem goes away?

Quite a few “passive” addons still use player-comms channels to broadcast version numbers to remind users to update.

Since the last update Blizzard blocked global addon comms which causes them to fall back to party/raid/guild.

Unfortunately cross-realm battlegrounds use the “Battleground /bg” channel for comms (a precursor to the Retail “Instance /i” channel), and this confuses add ons which have not been updated yet.

Unless you have an addon that changes chat functionality the game automatically turns your /raid into a /battleground when in a battleground. At least so long as you are not also in a raidgroup outside the battleground.

For me the addon causing this was Gatherlite, even tho i have turned off all the sharing options in Gatherlite.

If you do /raid in a BG it posts in /bg anyway I believe
