As the topic… it is disasterous. I die from simple elite kill quests. I have to wait another player or else I surely die or need to get away from the fight. I use health posion, all my defense, and the enemy don’t care, they take my HP down to zero easy.
I’m struggling on lvl68 to reach 70 so I can utilize all the purple I’ve gathered now on the new dragon isle for the alt(s). Every other class I play, all lvl70 (except my lock I don’t enjoy that too much nowadays, so its on lvl65).
But playing rogue single player quest is so not fun man, just seriously, terrible experience. Feels week, no healing, I hit enemy constantly with crits crits crits and the hp barely goes down.
I had one similar experience but I managed: Moonkin druid at lvl69, it was very hard to kill enemies but thats related to some silly enemy HP scaling issue, not dps related issue.
TL:DR: Rogue leveling sucks between 67-70.
BTW I main Paladin(g) and It is very big LOL that you redo the paladin(g) talents and skills that was completely fine… but didn’t touch rogue? How much Blizzard don’t play their games its boggles the mind.
Considering the paladin community rioting for ages until the rework i press a massive X for doubt.
The rogue is your alt. A leveling alt on top of that. So your experience with said class is very limited. Also i would like to see your talent choice on your rogue for leveling. Also theres timewalking if you want to easy level to 70 with your eyes closed.
I wasn’t going to reply but I will. Just that there are many ways to level. If levelling is troubling you try another way. The game offers a plethora of ways to level. Just get to 70 and then go back to Dragon Isles. It’ll still be there… not that it will be any easier, probably, dunno. Have fun.
I play all classes I hardly say all of them are allts, if I play all. All alts or none of them…
Besides… I didn’t say I’m expert player. Quiet the opposite. And that is why its important. If a generic regular, no-one Joe says they can EASILY manage all other classes but sturggle with one… believe me, it means something.
I play ALL classes regularily. I mean daily, I swap around every character.
I play all classes on both sides my main gameplay is to play all of them. So I don’t have to be expert in any of the classes. I just have to do okay.
And with Rogue the EXPERIENCE AS A GENERAL PLAYER is VERY VERY BAD!
@Isdy: Except with rogues you don’t have a different way of leveling. Or you mean stay in Dungeon Queue and try to get a group every half an hour? Is that “experience” you mean? Really? I’m lucky if I see one or two players around me heck I was so lucky to kill one of the big quest elites with another shaman, I didn’t see players there for the whole week (no daily quests there at all so you either log in, wait a bit and log out or you stand around and wait for people? That is not what I wan’t to do seriously)…
@Døkidøki: thanks for the funny video I enjoyed it… even more funny coming from a Warrior
No it doesnt. You wont have a perfect balance. Especially not for leveling. This has always been the case. And rogues arent hard to level either.
Or you dont have a hand for the class. Maybe its your kryptonite. Or you have errors in your choice of talents or whatever. Link your rogue so i can check.
You do. All 3 specs play differently and have different strengths and weaknesses. Also struggling against level 70 Elites as a leveling player is nothing out of the ordinary. Especially with level 70 elites varying in strengths quite severely.
Timewalking. No one levels in regular dungeons if Timewalking is available considering the vast difference in xp gain between a regular dungeon and a TW Dungeon.
Because everyone is in the forbidden reach or levels in timewalking.
I found it tougher to play my rogue this expansion than my other classes, this is while leveling - tho, nothing else.
I still didn’t find it impossible or hard or whatever, just required MORE than any other class.
I can’t say exactly why.
Everything becomes better with some good gear. Its your first wall to overcome as a Rogue… Until then you can’t mass pull elites and stuff or kill several mobs at the same time in one AoE pull and you will have to use the grp finder.
There are others out there in your boat too. Mages and warlocks and priests even who also struggle to kill hard stuff while gearing or leveling up.
Do like I did and learn Blacksmithing. Just for the weapons alone They matter so much. Most people don’t understand, For your damage output and how fast you kill stuff. And daggers are as you know the last thing your vault. Or the game gives you.
Shhh!.. You know how bad fearmongering gets us everytime we’re not a burst glass cannon in pvp? We got no words of glory… Lay on hands. Blessing of protection. Divine shield etc… If we don’t stay exactly as we are right now. People will do a backflip and split on the floor.
Go level a Rogue on classic and then come back to Dragonflight after a few weeks, you’re probably gonna make a thread about how amazingly easy it is to level Rogue.
rogues really werent that bad to lvl in classic. It actually was alot of easier than other classes like warrior. back in clasic mobs still hit hard and pulling multiple could kill you. You could just sap mobs and then engage them one by one and sneak by if neccesary.
The only annoying thing to level as a rogue in classic was the lockpicking and poisons
indeed leveling is absolutely easy and i never lost any HP and pulled 5 mobs at ones with every class, except rogue.
Rogue is so bad during leveling, I would have never thought that. I basically lose 70% hp against 1 mob - i tried all 3 specs as well.
In dungeons i destroy the meters with 15-20k dps but during leveling I die against 2 mobs if i don’t pop evasion lol.
All on every single class I was easily able to do alle the elite quests solo, even the arena quests. Rogue cannot do that
anyways you can manage to level up of course with food or waiting for vial but man it is absolutely negative i most admit
