Once the SOD chronoboons had infected the anniversary servers, many took advantage of this in order to stock up on some chronoboons for raiding. Then you went and communicated that these would be rendered unusable.
-“Regarding the SoD version of Chronoboons that were briefly available in Alterac Valley, please be advised that these will be rendered functionless on Anniversary realms. They can be ignored.”
Me, and many others, were stupid enough to believe this statement and thus vendored the boons we had bought since they were now just a waste of bag-space. Then you go and let people swap them for real boons on the anniversary servers? And to the people who were stupid enough to follow the forums and listen to your communication who vendored their extra boons your message is basically “sry about that, our bad”?
Horrible operating from your company and I’m sure it’s not only for me that this has left a sour taste regarding how you handle the game. If YOU make a mistake, perhaps YOU should assume some responsibility in restoring the boons for the people who vendored them because of YOU?
If somebody was clueless about the BG situation they would have no way of knowing that chronoboon on the AH is not the same one as from Chromie unless they have an addon that they specifically pay attention to for itemIDs.
I’m sick and tired of people giving s*it to those who bought the boons and totally ignoring the ones who sold them (the real scammers).
Sure some of the buyers perfectly knew what they were buying, but many didn’t.
All the sellers however knew exactly what they were doing.
