You recently deserted a group... No I bloody didn't!

I know this because i have read this on the forums  Otherwise i also would have farmed ilvl in normal → heroic → mythic dungeons on max level.

I mean if you play the skip there are not that many scary mobs until you reach the spider, by that time you prolly have found another tank instead of wasting time with the guy sitting at the first boss telling you to come back.

And well yeah it’s best to adapt sometimes but, it would take super little to fix this problem by either adding a wall till boss is defeated or simply putting all bosses in the bonus exp counter.

I think there should be a multiple choice box come up for everyone voting the person off with a short timer… if all haven’t picked the same reason the vote fails.

If the person feels they have been kicked unfairly then there should be a report option pop up.

Easiest way - do the repeatable offense accumulation - first time a day - no deserter debuff, second time - 10 min dreserter debuff, third time 30 min, fourth time an hour and so on.

So if someone got booted by accident it would not punish them at all and but if person griefing or AFKing systematically - they will get increasingly larger debuffs.

I remember those days. It was awful. You had people essentially hold you hostage. AFKers and griefers heaven.

The kick system is needed, and the time out is there to avoid serves as a cooldown period/avoid being regrouped instantly.

Skippable bosses are an issue for some, we see this come up not only for Plaguefall but some of the older dungeons too. Personally I go with the group majority as this is a group activity and not a solo experience. If they want to skip we skip, if they want to kill everything we kill everything. IMO it is better to kill two bosses and re-queue than it is to have to be removed because you disagreed with the rest of the group.

Blizzard are not going to review kicks, it works on a simple majority rule basis. You have to get on with your fellow team mates for a short period. You wont always agree with the way the majority want to go.

It is quicker to vote No on a vote kick than Yes. The No is instantly available the Yes has a c/d that takes a short time to appear. This was to avoid those getting rid of the box on their screen ASAP from kicking for no reason. If you really want to get rid of someone you have to wait for it to become an active option.

You can’t get booted by “accident” the majority have to say yes, and who decides what an “accident” is? There already is a system where you can’t have a vote against you in certain scenarios.

And if you get into few a trolling groups who just like to kick people all the time?

Blizzard got to stop making things skippable in dungeons… Always ends in harassment if someone can’t keep up with the community made path.

The obvious solution would simply be to require that the bosses are killed for the dungeon xp. I don’t really understand why they would not do this.

As a side note, I’ve been in levelling groups where we have skipped, plaguefall mostly, it’s usually a disaster from my experience. Those groups seem to mostly fall apart.

Used to be like that years ago, but then people would just farm dungeons with the earliest boss and restart. So they changed it to no exp from anything except the dungeon finder completion, which is usually tied to the last boss only…

Ahh, so easy to fix though. Award the xp at end of dungeon provided all the bosses are killed. ( like mythic plus completion )

Yeeeah, but then why would anyone ever would accept a Rogue in a dungeon?
Skiping some trash or boss is the only thing we are good for
We are already expendable in a Raid, there is 0 reason not to take someting else

I guess the problem with removing the timeout if you’re kicked is that people can just sit afk saying “kick me” when actually they’re leaving for their own reasons.

Personally I think a limited number of kicks/day is the way to go - i.e. you can only initiate or support 2 kicks in a 24 hour period. Don’t waste them on things that aren’t important, make sure you’re using them for the guy who DC’d 5 mins ago and clearly isn’t coming back.

Think it would help remove the “buhh healer let me die when I pulled 6 packs, kick him!” mentality.

Also, what idiot kicks their tank for not wanting to skip?

Now they wait 10 minutes while another tank is found.

What a ridiculous group of people.

I thought some limit like that is already in place?

I certainly remember reading comments like “I had kicked before, so I wasn’t allowed to this time”.

Interesting. Well, I guess that limit is a) not advertised, and b) much too large, given the trivial things people can get kicked for.

1-2 per day really feels like enough, although 1 every 10 dungeons might be a better way to go. If you feel a need to kick people from more than 10% of your runs, the problem is probably you not them…

(I’ve probably initiated/supported less than 10 kicks ever, and only against abusive players, never people who seemed to need time to learn. Several times I’ve blocked a kick, called it out in party chat, and the initiator has left instead. Only been kicked once; for standing up to an abusive player. GG rest of my party on that one. Point is, if you’re halfway… nice then kicking doesn’t happen much.)

I agree there are kicking limits.

Do we know what they are? :open_mouth:

Nothing official, it’s mostly via trial and error. But you will get kick locked for a period.

One thing to mention people think that the vote kick system is a system meant to remove trolls ,kick bad players, afkers ,dc etc. IT is just a majority vote system, people really need to understand that it’s a system made to show what the majority wants . And it’s working as intented when you get kicked for being an uwu vulpera if the majority wanted to do so. It’s not a fair system it’s just “what the majority wants” system.

First booting shouldn’t warrant a deserter debuff, but subsequent kicks within the hour should as otherwise there’d be no repercussion for trolls.

Similarly people that abuse vote kicks should also be punished.
