You want solo content in an MMO

I just dont get this, you feel entitled because a game is soooo populare that you feel like your need to play it solo should be considered, your playing a multiplayer game made for massive amount of player working together, but you just think you have less time to play the game but still deserve to play it solo ? There is 1000s of games out there but you only wanna play a game not meant for sol8 play to be solo able , just play another game ? Its not that hard , wow is not for you anymore , you choose to join you choose to get a real life with family and job and all that it comes with , you moved on , now let others enjoy a multiplayer game made for multiplay

Please. please. please. put paragraphs in your sentences.

But yes. group content and solo content could stay in a single game.

are you sure that with the idea to redirect a part of the players towards other games, you are not going to lose a slice of revenue which will allow this game to continue?
Also look at the developer’s politics: in my opinion it is to make short-term activities (M+ for example) more interesting than those of great cooperation (raids)

MMOs are not exclusively multiplayer. Their appeal is being in a world with other people, it doesn’t mean you have to do things with other people all the time. Just like the real world…

There should be (and is ) a mix of group and solo activities just like in reality. OP imvho your post is a bad take and the game with be poorer for it.

You know gathering herbs and mining ore are solo content in this game, crafting with them is a solo content but then the end result of what has been gathered/mined or crafted can be sold to aid group content.

The mix of solo and group content is fine for an mmo, an mmo is just a game with other players in it not a game where you have to do absolutely everything with someone else all the time.

No one has to be that needy, not in the real world and not in a virtual one :joy:

Does it have actual state of plot? And yeah, finished all of them multiple times long time ago.

Don’t think anyone feels entitled to have solo content, people just wish to be able to do things alone from time to time. As in, not being forced to do group content as the only way to progress their characters.

There are many reasons people like solo content and nobody has to justify anything to you or anyone else for wanting it. Group and solo content can exist in the same game.

Are you referring to threads like those who complain about story being locked behind dungeons? Because in that case I agree, it’s an MMORPG and dungeons are just part of them. Blizzard does not have to (and should not) cater to people who are voluntarily locking themselves out of group content in these cases. They are playing the wrong genres, they should just play single player RPGs.

I am happyness playing this game same exact way no change, I do not group so what, game is perfect. Same thing for me and can play this until the death of me or the server.

I don’t care about people. I just play whatever I like: solo, non solo, naked, drunk, whatever.
I’m playing the experience, regardless.

Blizzard needs to ditch this mentality of adding “Solo content” where “Group content” was intended. It’s not good for a game long term.

At first you got my curiosity… now you got my attention

You want solo content in an MMO

Bold of you to presume what I want

The misconception seems to be that MMO should mean forced to play together. MMO in the most basic terms is lots of people online playing the same game.

I think WoW does well balancing it’s group and solo content. It would be exceptionally tedious to have to spend every moment in wow with other players. Even in the group content provided in game it has differing levels from finding others to play with, automated queue up content and apply to pick up groups content.

for me an mmo is a place that alow me to play in groups, its not mandatory and there are a lot of ppl who like to be surrounded whit others but not necessary interact whit them, we are not all social beings, i respect your opinion so respect there’s aswell.

This.
Always has been like this. You could quest solo or with some friends. Professions is basically a solo activity, you don’t need 3 blacksmiths to craft an item. Pet Batles are a solo activity.

In an MMO you choose when to group and with whom to group. Group with nobody, with IRL friends, with in-game friends / guild / community, or group with random strangers.
Large MMO type games are about choosing your path. What class or spec do you play, do you PVP or not?

The worst things in the game are when we are forced into things removing player agency. Forced to limit yourself to one covenant. Forced to PVP or do dungeons for story campaign, forced do some 12 reps for flying, forced to repeat an entire story to level an alt, forced to do any content you don’t really enjoy.
