That’s it, stop crying on forum’s
This man just hate’s this class
You don’t need to read our posts, but we will never be slaves, we will be conqueror! So no we won’t stop
Really? Because AFF lock is the leading DPS in castle Nathria Right now… funny way of hating a class i’d say.
ignore the fact Ret paladins have been below Mid Pack for 6 years now Kappa i dont think its warlock the man hates.
It is just his inability to give us more than 1 proper spec(counts for more classes).
Im guessing we’re talking from a balancing PoV. thats because the game has too many speccs and too many damage profiles to adapt every specc to working in the situations.
Speccs would require serious homogenization to really get on par with one another.
This has always been a problem from the start of the game… not just Ion but all of them… this games always been a 1 Specc performs better then the rest.
WoWs never kept all its speccs relevant… arguably not even half. the difference content was made harder and other content such as M+ Was introduced and we the playerbase have grown less and less accepting.
when i raided in MoP i never questioned Speccs… today i do. thats not the game… thats the fact i’ve grown so jaded in ability to trust another player to play their class correctly that i’ve built methods in my head to how to examine a player
for example… if hes a Survival hunter he prolly doesnt minmax or Optimise.
are these true things? not in all cases… but how else can i read a players ability to play the game.
u have to remember once upon a time we were happy with 1 Specc being entirely only viable in PvP and the other in PvE…
Once frost mage was a “PvP Specc” same as Sub rogue… now we expect these speccs to do good in PvE too, we became more demanding… the balancing ability never changed
True but they could balance it out if they invest time and money.
they could… but ur gonna lose a ton of content and more as they try and continously buff and nerf repeatvely effectively.
it would be worse not better realistically.
Less content could be good, I don’t want mir than arena and pvp in general. I don’t need Torghast or the covenant campaign. I could play the game without it.
Do you mean those Warlock “wanabees” who use addons and macros to tell them which button to press and when?
I wouldn’t say they are topping the DPS charts, I would say that their simulator is doing so.
ummm i dont think many Warlocks actually use those Addons Lmfao…
Content draughts are not good xD
well…
I play Destruction and I have no problem outputting competitive rates of damage against Affliction Warlocks.
But I find that most Warlocks who use Affliction, do use Addons for Spell Timers.
what u mean the Addons which tell them how long their DoTs last on the target?.. like they do on basic UI just slightly clearer then the Basic UI Ones?
I don’t have something like this, pvp is always good. Im not a PvE Player.
Not our problem entirely.
But before Ion we never had outright broken specs like demo in the game.
Before Ion in MoP/WoD we didn’t had situation where gap between meta and non-meta was so huge. We had classes that had good synergy, but rest wasn’t trash at all. Right now, Ion has allowed pet classes to suffer on the final boss of Castle, pets just can’t attack mobs on the platforms.
Befor Ion we didn’t had situation where our talents was broken - call fel lord, broken for second Xpac in the row. Demon has caped amount of HP that doesn’t rise with HP or ILvL of the warlock and does only 5% of enemy player HP, in the matter of next patch the amount of armor and versa will kill Fel lord’s damage and his 11k HP will be a sad joke.
Current game tells you.
- Pick the class
- pick the spec
- pick the right covenant for your spec
- Pick the right soulbind
- Pick the right conduits
- Pick the right legendary
And with such game structure, where all these points could potentialy be bad game has no rights to have bad and unreliable specs.
It is not our problem that Shadowlands is
Shadowlands is one of the most intricate expansions we’ve yet created
We didn’t asked covenants, soulbinds, conduits, legendaries…after mess that was BFA we wanted a fully working classes, and not this borrowed power tauren crap.
It was their decision to make most complex expansion in WoW history, then they should work their asses off but make it right for ALL of players no matter which spec they chose.
“Do or die” is how they say in US.
no, players had lower expectations, Im sorry but its true frost mages Used to be useless in PvE. their DPS Depended on applying CC to a target which u cant apply to a boss mob.
Sub Rogue was USeless in PvE and completely unusable in Some fights long ago because they were litterally unable to use main DPS Abilities due to being unable to stand behind targets.
Through a Large portion of this games lifespan Prior Ions take over, we actually were entirely accepting that classes had ONE Specc all PvPers played and ONE Specc all PvErs played.
the problem is todays Demand is
Every specc is good in all PvE and PvP Content… the playerbase raised the bar above what blizzard was ever achieving.
Ret paladins were considered a Joke to the point even the devs called them Jokes for a whole expansion.
Spriests got turned into some sorta Off healing support class the game didnt even need and was entirely ignoreed for a whole expansion.
this game has always been miles apartt from meta to non meta, the playerbase just never cared as much as they do now.
Not really true… u Pick a Class and your given 3 Speccs… nothing about this game demands u choose only 1. Being given Options doesnt always mean a Choice, ur not choosing a Life long Specc, ur using Speccs to maximise your class.
Theres a reason why ion wants 3 Speccs that have Different DPS, Damage profiles, Capabilities, in some cases Utility and More.
because ur susposed to pick the best specc for what ur currently doing. its considered a part of ur class ru susposed to change.
Yeah? Then why i could play all rogue specs in PvP and didn’t get much trouble from it?
Why I could use all DK’s DPS specs and don’t feel issues with it?
Why i could use all warlock specs in any scenario and don’t feel any issues in it?
With Ion we have dead specs for whole xpacs.
Affli dead on arrival in BFA, worst spec for PvP.
Demo issues uppon issues uppon issues, spec that didn’t had any distinct place in game?
SP was useless befor 8.3
MM Same as SP but was useless even after 8.3.
Before Ion we had good designed classes, that had almost zero tech issues, with decent complexety decent variety of builds.
When Ion came, classes was narrowed down for one path, and all complexety went in the window with introduction of borrowed powers.
Before Ion there was only three things that could affect your gameplay.
- Your character
- Your gear
- Your hands.
With Ion we have
- Your character
- Your Gear
-
- Your legendaries
-
- Your conduits
-
- Level of your conduits
- Your hands
- Your covenants
-
- Your soulbind
-
- Level of your soulbind
In BFA we had
- Your character
- Your Gear
- Level of your heart of Azeroth
- Your Azerite gear
-
- Your azerite talents
- Your Essences
-
- Level of your essences
- Your corruptions
-
- level of your corruptions
- Your legendary cloak
-
- Level of your legendary cloak.
He favors overcomplex systems and that HE and HIS TEAM are not able to balance and maintain properly.
If he decided to focus on classes and not introduce another BS layers of borrowed powers in SL we could had a better experience.
Because as i stated the game wasnt as Meta driven as Today, back in MoP and Prior. we had HC Raiding as our highest tier. and in Most HC Guilds U can Play whatever specc you like… because HC Raiding was never near the difficulty of mythic raiding.
The Game got Pushed to a Point where now theres cutting edge content at the top which Some speccs cannot Realistically get into.
Well ofcourse. when u release Content with litteral Timers on it and progressively make Raids Tighter and tighter through a mythic scene. even on Old balancing This would be.
you seem to forget Classes get benched for being 2% BEHIND ANOTHER CLASS. That didnt happen in the old days.
It was litterally one of the strongest DPS In Raids during Azshara… it was Nerfed because of how strong it was during 8.2.
that is largely Opinonated.
u mean throw the game back to a time where 97% or something ridiculous Quantity of the playerbase couldnt obtain a parse Above 60%?..
the playerbase changed, And reading logs doesnt always lead to the truth. Logs are naturally very bias towards the classes the very top players are using as its percentile is based off the highest Player. not its highest potiental DPS.
People in MoP, Didnt bench players over a 2% DPS Gain, in SL now they will. why? because the game pushed content and focused on a More competitive scene. Most classes are benched Purely off what top players Say
you had LITTERAL mythic raiding level players preparing to BENCH hunters during 8.3 before it quite litterally turned out to be the most powerful class in the game. it was completely ignored Because some dude in a MDI Said they were bad.
When One voice has the ability to in itself Bench a class before even realistic results have been shown… why do u think the Balance looks so whack?
Every class in MoP COULD kiill heroic Raids
Every class in SL CAN kill Heroic Raids.
Mythic Isnt a comparable Place. it didnt exist in old WoW long enough to make comparisons realistically, and mythic exists because they wanted to make the game even harder then heroic.
at the end of the day… theres more to it then just borrowed Powers
M+ Existance will make balancing even harder… becuase no AoE DPS isnt ignorable by releasing ST Raid bosses and stuff… because now they have to simultaniously balance classes for both Raids and DPS.
we used to be in a time where barely 5% of the game were listening to Pro players. were looknig up anything since legion i’d say thats massively increased, due to complex systems and more players are forced to look things up which leads them to these Pro players who list of the “Bad Classes”
I mained a Survival hunter throughout Legion as a Pug player and got pretty deep into M+ and obtained Curves… purely as a guildless player.
In BFA I mained a enhancement Shaman and a Shadow priest and although i did not raid BFA… imy highest key was a +24
These were all without guild status, without help and Purely from the PuG World.
every class in the game Killed every boss on mythic.
Every class achieved a Minimum of +26 in M+.
so how exactly are classes so “incapable” or “broken”. heres basically what happens. some mythic raider benchs a clas because another class brings 2% Increased DPS.
The playerbase for some reason beleive that affects their content also so build a opinon to not invite said class.
Legion was quoted one of the most balanced Expansions in WoWs time, when u compared it % to % throughout… it outdid any prior expansino balance wise. the problem is we as Players got WORSE and Started Rejecting players much faster
RIO Didnt exist in the old WoW.
DPS Meters used to Say different numbers depending on which u used.
WoWlogs Wasnt as Updated.
Back then Guide videos achieved like 30k views, today they achieve hundreds of thousands of views.
its so obvious the playerbase gort soo much more elitist. Yes Covenants and more do not help the balancing situation. but to a Degree atleast the player mentality got worse when regarding these things
and a large aprt of that is because todays Systems Drive Far more players to gain knowledge on the game through sources which at the same time tell them class A and B Arent viable.
Ele Shaman Mid legion went through a Super strong period, yet stil cause of shaman stigma couldnt getinto groups
WW/DKs still struggle in SL to get into M+ Pugs because their melee because some dude said Spiteful and storming isnt possible to deal with as a melee
Mythic raiders are getting declined in +7s because of a RIO Score.
the more Open WoWs Knowledge is, the worse this willbe percieved.
i agree to a extent, blizzard could do more to combat this. a Return to more Utility Tools clases used to have… More shared abilities across classes and more would go a long way to reduce how restrictive the meta is, but i dont beleive class balance is solely pushing todays problems.
I remember Ion saying " We’d rather you didn’t play Demonology".

Pff, you said this in your last post too… That may be true, if you’ve been competing with someone that isn’t very good at the spec. There is not a single chance that an equally skilled and equally geared destruction lock could do more damage than an affliction lock. It’s numerically impossible.
All you’ve done so far is LFR. That’s not exactly a perfect dick measuring environment.
