Your character's IC Armor/Battlegear?

The armour is as it appears.
Enchanted Lightweave cloth, with elementium plates. The belt buckle holds a molten ball of dark iron ore.

Love how the forum thinks this char is still a velf… Been a dark iron over a month :joy:

Basically, my OOC transmog is also my battlegear of sorts, and May prefers it for travelling and combat alike. It beats robes and skirts for those, and she isn’t particularly fond of trousers.

It consists of a turtleneck black mageweave bodysuit , detached sleeves and thigh highs , worn together with matching fingerless gloves , bracers , reinforced boots and shoulderpads . The kit is complemented by a decorated gemmed belt and a monastic scapular of the Shattered Sun Offensive . The weapon of choice is her Man’ari Spellblade.

Aristion’s battle armor is made with the tears of power emoters and defeated forum posters; each player dropping a token of their power, which has been used to fuel Aristion’s own.

Wait, that how they power Art station? I wonder how they power Deviantart?

The tears make you sparkle when the Sun shines. You’d think it’s because of the Light, or because Aristion is a vampire, but actually it’s because of all these tears. :sob:

And we all know that what shines in WoW is powerful. The Gorlocs wouldn’t be as feared and respected otherwise. I mean, they train proto-drakes!

Well sorry mate but I’m more of a Team jacob guy so go take your sparkling water looking behind out of this club.

while I do put effort into explaining why they wear what they do I don’t often go into that much detail

the ones who stand out are, my DK who wears an old set of death knight armor (using the black plate armor form northrend since it was the one used by the DKs in the alpha if I recall correctly and it has been a silent node to that)

and the other one who stands out is my paladin, who once had a set of armor and a hammer which was his mentors but it was lost when he had to flee and it is probably still in the hands of some lucky forsaken looter or something.

I want gorramn glasses for PCs! The NPCs already have ones just like that, WHY will the devs not let us use them?! I have to settle for a stupid monocle on my Belf… and a dwarven monocle at that!!

Hibani wears leathers crafted from her kills with parts of her gloves, chest piece and her shoulder guards made out of enchanted wood from a makeshift loa altar.

She didn’t make the armour herself, but brought it to a very skilled leather worker in Zuldazar who crafted it to her liking.

Cough.

It is a relatively simple armour set with limited actual physical protection. Much of the set is composed out of decorative metals which at most protect crucial parts of his form, however small amount that offers.

However, being a Witch Doctor - a healer and one often deployed for warfare - Jan’zi has learned to rely and imbue much of his protection through mystical and magical means. Charms, fetishes and even a staff capable of conveying the power of spirits and loabound mojo allow him to execute feats that often seem as if he was glancing off blows or even rendering them useless with the use of obvious or secretive means from his array of objects that often protect him from harm or augment the Witch Doctor’s arsenal.

Generally, that is also where his weakness lies. If cut off from his magic, i’ve had moments where he generally becomes useless and with only his stave and potions to let him get by.

Aerilen’s libram is one of his own creation for a long time he went around plundering fallen Silver Hand/Vindicators to compare their books with his own. He then took what he thought was useful from theirs and added it his own. Took a few years and many RP-PvP events to farm them pages. :muscle:

Uruk wears a powerful, bone-white saronite armor infused with death magic. It radiates shadowfrost from the shoulders and belt when Uruk is feeling strong, destructive emotions or when he is fighting.

My armour was forged in a great storm, amidst a huge volcano and fifty labouring slave dwarfs, thirty seven rainbows shining above whilst also the souls of four thousand orcs and much more.

This robe. As you can see it has a plate harness beneath it that for some reason covers my character’s honkers but not her stomach. Ingenious, right?

Varies on circumstance.

If Dari’s going into melee, full plate. If he intends to sit back and be living artillary, something lighter. Chainmail or half-plate. He needs the added mobility to have an easier time focusing on more ‘boom’ spells.

what is it made of?

Honestly never thought about it. Nothing special probably.

Is it any specific armor which has a special name?

Nope.

The smiths in Dalaran. Likely forged using magical techniques. It’s no doubt got some magical defensive properties, but nothing significant.

I have thought about getting Dari more story-driven arms and armour in future. Right now what he uses is just taken from the assembly line, so to speak.

You always make interesting threads, Kump!
Munkosh’s usual gear is leather armor, adorned with some yak fur. His old mentor wore similar, too. (OOCly inspired by some monk npc’s who wear similar-looking armor, Peak of Serenity monk trainees for example).

The belt is an “orcish” equivalent to a typical monk belt

And the jade stone discs hanging from either side of the belt are one of his most remarkable trophies.

Naoru’s gear has gone through a few iterations, but has always had a consistent theme. There is always leather and furs of a tribal and ceremonial nature. His profession as a warrior-shaman is in this way always clearly marked. Combat-ready, but shamanistic. And because he is a shaman, he has always had a wolf cowl (not that I think every shaman has to wear a wolf cowl, but I have always loved Warcraft shamanism because of the Shaman unit from WCIII).

The iterations of his gear have been through three stages. The first iteration was very close to home and tauren-like. He wore a tabard with the Thunder Bluff colors and a belt with the shaman insignia, because those two alignments were most important to him then.

(As you can tell, IT’S SOME TIME AGO. Wolf cowl missing, but it was the old Beastmaster one with the red markings.)

Some time before Legion, he lost his fighting spirit for the Horde and he embraced the Earthen Ring and the greater cause of protecting Azeroth, and his gear went from brown and red to white and green. A more neutral display.

And then months before the Blood War started, he began fighting for the Horde again and his most recent battle-armor is very much to show his new-found belief in and devotion to the Horde - that is, the Horde he is fighting for, not necessarily the one in charge. That’s the armor he is wearing now.
