Hello my Argent Dawn friends!
Another thread about your favorite…
HUMAN KINGDOM
Which includes:
Alterac
Dalaran
Lordaeron
Gilneas
Stromgarde
Stormwind
Kul Tiras
…and maybe Theramore, even it wasn’t one of the Seven Kingdoms
So, which one is your favorite, and why?
Also if you have/make a human, which you decide for your char to be from?
Will gladly read your opinions :>

Get gabbin or get going!
But I also find Alterac rather interesting!
I never understood the Lordaeron hype, but that may be because I’m such an underdog fan.

Gilneas/Surwich/Drustvar because I have a mahoooooooosive interest in gothic victorian aesthetics. When I learned I could be a cockney rhymying, top hat wearing, dapper as heck victorian london warlock (that also turns into a werewolf) i was all over the alliance like a rash. I was playing horde before then. sorry not sorry.

Tie between Gilneas and Kul Tiras. A few other kingdoms simply haven’t been fleshed out enough like Alterac which is a shame.

Alterac.
Cool snow terrain. Cool siding with the Horde.
Also orange is an unusual colour for a country compared to the more common reds and blues and greens.

I find the Kingdom of Tanaris a very interesting an undeveloped plot point in lore.
The many camel riding trade princes whose relatives sailed to Tanaris hundreds of years ago set up shop in Uldum, and they’re extremely well player developed.
It’s almost mystifying.

Alterac is probably the most interesting at this point given it’s the one with the least amount of lore attached to it. I usually have my human characters be from Stormwind though, since you’re usually the minority if you choose it.

I have to say Gilneas. They really have a strong identity in architecture and culture alike, and it remains one of my sincere hopes that it will become a relevant kingdom again in the future.

Kul tiras. Both Thornspeakers and Tidesages appeals a lot to me.

I found the Kingdom of Stromgarde to be the most interesting, especially back in the day when half the army could keep the majority of the Old Horde out of the northern Eastern Kingdoms, forcing the orcs to construct a naval force that then landed around/near Southshore and proceeded to wreck everything in their path.
Can’t wait to see a proper King Danath Trollbane.
But if I ever make a human, he’s gonna be from the Kingdom of Stormwind, since those appear to be a minority.

Toss up between Alterac and Gilneas to be honest. I wish we got Gilneas to be as developed as Kul’Tiras was. You really do get a good sense of Tirassian culture and how they live day to day. I am glad we got gilneas at all but the technology just wasnt there.
Still holding out for some alteraci and stromgardian love though

Don’t hold your breath, Stromgarde, appearance wise has been made in a mini-Stormwind, with alot of their soldiers also appearing as Stormw… I mean Alliance Footmen, I’m just happy they didn’t forget the Stromgarde soldiers (though they should’ve given them the Stormwind armor, but reskinned with red instead of blue).
Alterac* is, according to the mission table, in Forsaken hands and where they are apparently trying to rebuild.

Yeah I get that but I am interested in seeing what is made canon after BFA as many things are up in the air at the moment.

I’m sure Stormwind will be my new favourite, once we’ve blighted the streets and raised the civilians.

Gilneas, always. I am a huuuuge fan of the Gothic themes, which is also why Drustvar is my all-time favourite zone.

Lordaeron with its tragic history and significance to both factions.
Alterac, its fall leaving a lasting impression on this character to never trust nobility as more than a necessary evil at best and a self interested societal tumour in need of removal at worst.

Oh, I forgot that question! I actually have two technically humans, but their class decided their kingdom anyhow. (A bone-settler from Gilneas, coming from the Harvest Druids tradition, condemned to stay forever lvl 21; and since today a Kul tiran druid.)
If I had to make a regular human-not-a-druid, mh. Probably a Lordaeron exiled because the relationship between the north Lordaeron and Quel’thalas must have inspired a lot of folktales and that may be something interesting to explore. (Have you noticed a theme perhaps? Haha)
