Your favourite mage race

Hello, Argent Dawn! I wonder what’s everyone’s favourite RP race for mages. For me, it is clearly void elves. Not only they’re elven mages (which is very thematically fitting in itself), but the race also allows for dilemmas regarding their void usage. The decision whether should they abandon the arcane altogether and focus on using the void or perhaps combine the two types of magic and use whatever suits the given situation best… adds for a lot of character development! Many mage sets tend to suit them too, so finding suitable mage looks is not an issue. With all that considered, VEs are the coolest mages. Clearly.

Not void elves.

Blood Elves and, now, Nightborne for Horde. Humans and Gnomes for Alliance.

Belves, if I wouldn’t get bored with a Mage class I definitely would have rolled a Belf Mage given that the magical addiction is very Elric-esque which I enjoy although it is an overused trope.

Shal’dorei. <3

Hello there… Well, in short:
Highborne. The best. Nb falls under it, but Nightborne aren’t my favorite.
Lightforged, as Augari. Similar to Ymeera
High elf, you know why. Blood elves for blood mage. (Not Hemomancer, but the Pyromancers who also practiced bit of Fel in WC3, like Kael.)
Human, for Tirisfali aesthetics. But not the Neutral Kirin tor…
Undead, going into some necromancer stuff… And being fallen 3rd war Kirin tor… And moving towards Lich things.
Troll as Zanza follower, maybe?
Gnomes are also fun, smart and small, intelligent. Perfect for mage.

These are what i like for mages… And i know they are many. Although I don’t have any levelled mage yet. Except an elven Mage-Priest, like Warcraft 3 Priest.

Bloodelf fire mage.
( Because of sunwell. They are known to be great pyromancers)

Nightborne arcane mage.
( Nightborne are known to wield magic with arcane arts)

Human Frost mage.
(… Jaina, I guess…)

Gnomes.

Imagine getting a fireball flung at your face by someone slightly larger than your foot and cackling manically as he/she does so.

Humans because Dadgar conjures our vegetables.

But in all seriousness I would currently say the Nightborne are my favourite mage race as well. Their immense connection to mana that was told in the Suramar questlines and characters such as Star-Augur made them the prime examples of mages (and why I chose to roll a NB Mage as an alt)

Worgen.

Trolls.
They’re smart!
They’re fast!
They’re inventive!
They’re so ugly I doubt they ever sleep!
This means more time studying!
Their halitosis is so bad it’ll chill you to the bone!
And they’re still mastering the whole fire thing!

Perfect for mages.

Ok seriously, I go with blood elf/void elf. Their whole culture is magic inclined, it’s a part of who they are.
Second would probably be Goblins, simply because the idea of a hard working studious Goblin mage goes so against their typically accepted type.

Belf

The rest should be forbidden to roll mages

Goblins, of course.

Elves. Night elves, blood elves, void elves and nightborne elves. Elves and magic are just a package deal.

Jamaicans.

It has to either be Zandalari or dwarves (as are most things with me)

Zandalari mages are such a cool idea in my head. Golden garbed arcanitals carrying magical relics older than most races on the planet slinging spells studied and perfected by thousands of generations of sorcerers. So freaking awesome.

Dwarf mages are rather similliar. I love the idea of a dwarf carrying scrolls covered in runes and ancient tomes of power to battle.

I love artifacts okay!?
