Your most remembered wow memory?

everyone have some memory of the past, in wow! some people could remember what they enjoyed the most, if it’s pvp or dungeons or raids or events you practiced with your guild/friends with, or even chit-chat in towns, but for me! this is it…

My highlight memory of each Expansion…

-Wow vanilla: getting scammed everytime i try to get someone to enchant my gear.
-The Burning Crusade: 100%crit glitch & the stacked +dmg glitch for more %value
-Wrath of the Lich King: was fun 1shotting gladiator paladins with 1key within 2sec Killingspree with bis endgame gear “100%crit,100%armor penetration” before the removal of such stat.
-Cataclysm: legendary daggers proc then killing anyone with multiple envenom in 3~4sec
-Mists of Pandaria: the supreme unknown pug ever in wow system history…“BF+extra hits glitch!”
-Warlords of Draenor: garrison lag & the start of market inflation in wow via it.
-Legion: only questing for lore to see How did ‘dead illidan in tbc’ reign supreme in legion.
-Battle for Azeroth: game launch>cinematic trailer>starting quest/event… few hours later…alt+f4

-Wow Classic: Searching for gnome with pink hair to KILL, they are so rare in retail so you gotta find them in classic! to make it a memory!
-Wow NEW TBC(soon): i can guess…“female blood elves dancing naked in orgrimmar”

in the end? every single expansion gave us something & took from us other things…so i just want to say ThankYou Blizz for all the good memory

Most memorable uhhhh probably doing m+ with bukachu and just laughing most of the dungeon.

Rest of WoW really hasn’t been too memorable.

My first run of Strat in Vanilla, someone used the Shrink Ray thingy on the Baron and it backfired. Ended up with 10 of us, all little mini me’s, running about trying to take him down.

Well, if we count private server experiences (as I started in late 2008):

Vanilla: completing the full spellhybrid build for both Prot and Ret pally, with Thunderfury, Sulfuras and Ashbringer, and then decimating in BGs with it
TBC: WPvP while leveling up in Blade’s Edge on a warrior alt. Being chased for 15 minutes, but prevailing with an inch of health until I can finally HS away
Wotlk: Naxxramas 10/25 man solohealing on my Paladin during it’s appropiate patch; 2v7 in an AB, and winning, locking down Blacksmith.
Cata: 2v11 in Eye of the Storm, being chased around the map. We made 2 full circles. Also a 3v9 in AB, locking down Stables.
Pandaland: Uninstalling.
WoD: Not playing it.
Legion: Project 60-85 raiding. Man, that was fun.
BfA: Twinking at lvl59.
Classic: The leveling journey I had with my friends was amazing. Although not much of a highlight, but I did end up uninstalling it, after confirming that the private server builds for Paladins don’t work.

Generally, playing with friends and having fun are my biggest highlights in any expansion, or any game even. There are a lot more highlights than what I listed, but these are my best ones.

What I can remember right now:

Vanilla - My first character was Human Warlock (I know, so original). I was 7 years old when I was playing the game while my older brother was in school. I remember spending a week trying to kill that group of 3 Defias Brotherhood members near the tent.

TBC - I was excited for Draenei & Blood Elves. The music at their starting zones feel so nostalgic to this day.

Wotlk - As I was still a huge noob at that time, I was like 10. Still didn’t understand English that much. I remember doing battlegrounds on that Human Warlock I mentioned above at lvl 52 (I never got past 60 because I didn’t bother to level her up) and getting that Olympics themed Tabard and colorful Dragon pet. I love showing them off today. But honestly, I played Pr****e servers most of the time thinking they were really fun…

Cata - I made a Draenei Shaman back in Wotlk, at the start of Cata, after I got a Worgen to 70ish, I decided to level up that shaman and that was my first Max level character ever. After that, I basicly did nothing because I thought it was the best achievement you could get.

MoP - I suppose my English was great then, even in Cata, so I started understanding how the endgame works. I even got myself a Garrosh Curve Mount when I discovered Guild raiding with TeamSpeak app. My main was a Female Pandaren Monk (I know right? So original…).

WoD - I race changed that pandaren to Blood Elf and patiently spent whole 6.0 waiting for 6.1 to experience updated blood elf models. I also camped that Gron mount in Gorgrond. In 6.2 I tried to do the curve, but I just couldn’t. So I paid 50k for a boost.

Legion - I started as Night Elf DH. Got the reps up, did all of endgame content, but didn’t raid. In 7.3 I switched to Shadow Priest and leveled it from lvl 1 to 110. Got ToS curve and became a more serious player. Antorus was a really fun raid, especially for Shadow Priests. I race changed her to Void Elf - which is now this character. The guild I was in was really great and I met a lot of people.

BfA - I continued playing on this Shadow Priest. I guess I’ve done a lot of things except raiding in 8.1 and 8.2. I did a few mythic bosses in 8.0 and now in 8.3, but the guild disbanded and I’ve completed so much so I’m basicly done until Shadowlands. I also need to point out that the new Shadowform that came with BfA is still ugly and I’m literally praying that they change it.

Sorry if I made it long. #Peace :stuck_out_tongue:

why? xD mop was sh*t but when Timeless island came? it was fun going red “to kill your friends/guild members” you missed that fun times!

Raiding Naxx in vanilla. I was a huge Scourge fan, so seeing that dark citadel above Plaguewood and entering it and braving the horrors of what it had to offer was epic af.

I remember that I clicked on need button to have a rare agility dagger which was dropped from WC dungeon.

The rouge went super crazy questioning how come a healer druid need that dagger!

I clicked on need because it was rare and I could equip it! The party and I kept explaining that the druid can use it!!! LOL

I feel sorry for that rouge since 2006…

Because PvP was boring. 1 minute lockouts in 3s, 99% dampening games, everyone being a livelord, no numbers outside CDs… I could go on and on about the issues of that game.

hm, plenty to pick from. i ll just go with one which makes me feel bad to this day even though it was like a decade ago.

i was meeting up with a friend in stranglethorn because he needed help with a quest. the one above grom gol wih the troll camp thingy ruins.
since i was early i was just killing mobs while waiting because i was bored.

…then i suddenly saw out of the corner of my eye someone stealthing past me. too late though because i already aoed and accidently killed that wee lad.

he probably thought i was there to kill lower players (pvp server and i was max level) and tried to stealth to safety.
as i have a pet peeve of not killing lower players i stayed there for a couple of minutes to see if he would res because i wanted to apologise. he never did though, kinda understandably.

i killed him right at the back wall, he almost made it out of the ruins. :joy:

his name was mcstabbin (classic name) and was a human rogue with black hair and a red defias mask.

…well, whereever you are. im sorry. i still really am.

Ulduar one light in the darkness with the old gang. What a moment.

Entering Teldrassil for the first time on my level 10 nelf huntard was mind expanding. So many people!! What’s those mounts???

My 1st raid ever in TBC Karazhan.

More recently we’ve gone from like 5 guildies to over 500 in a year. And really though it’s not a single moment the process has been incredible.

The one memory I’ll never forget was one of the first times I played WoW and ended up at the zeppelin master outside of undercity as a lvl 12 warlock.

On that platform waiting for the zeppelin was a level 43 undead priest with the SM cloth hat and a long cape and it was the most epic thing ever. Wearing all greys myself with no hat and only a short cloak it was amazing seeing someone look that cool. In hindsight he didn’t really look that cool but it’s one of my fondest and earliest memories in this game.

Probably doing guild runs of Naxx during Wrath and this one guy would always stop us so he could go take a quick shower…for 45 minutes! We couldn’t proceed without him, and he’d always stop on…uh…that one boss where you have the plus and minus electrical charge.
It was a running gag for weeks, with people saying stuff like; ‘Hey, I gotta take a brb, need to file my tax return’, or ‘Just gonna head off for a mo, need to take my car in for it’s MOT’.

My uncle letting me try it around 10 y/o, would’ve been around vanilla

I made a tauren hunter, because they were like indians with guns who could have a pet wolf, and that sounded cool

This was my first exposure to open world games, and MMOs, so it was insane to me that I was in a big fantasy world and there were other people running around doing what they wanted at the same time

Had no damn idea what an RPG was or how to progress properly though

Game stuck, always wanted to play since then, but my parents didn’t want me to fixate on it, and my uncle quit after wrath

Playing in old AV when they used to last hours - and it was an epic struggle to push forwards (or stop them pushing forwards ofc).

Even losing was an honour to play.

Probably Ulduar and Naxx, as they were my first raids despite having started in TBC.

A friend’s toon during a MoP raid moving between two boss fights. His toon is in low health, fought beautifully during the previous boss fight. Then he goes and activates the engineer nitro boosts, gets a rocket fuel leak and in front of my eyes insta-drops dead from full speed. His curses in the microphone and me laughing so hard that tears are clouding my vision as I try to see where my rez button is located.

That’s when I knew I wanted the engineer profession for my toon as well.

WOTLK holds many fond memories for me as it’s when I first began to raid.

Naxx was memorable for that very reason on my resto shammy, finally getting that heroic tier set completed! The roll and DKP drama on certain weapon drops as well! Stacking absurd Mp5 gear so I could spam chain heal and never run OOM.

Ulduar was memorable because aside from the awesome music and unique first encounter, it was where I first started to raid-lead within our guild, it was very cool even if we as a guild did struggle (we were not super pro by any means) like even killing XT for the first time was a big deal.
Trial of the Crusader raid because of the “pvp” boss. Ahhhhh fun times.
Also Wotlk was were I dipped my toe into pvp properly as well. In my pvp threads my shaman was so difficult to kill I loved it. Providing backup to outnumbered groups defending the workshops…those were the days!

I have 4 memorysi remember vividly and they are mostly discovering everything about the current game i enjoy.

  1. When i was low level, leveling for the first time i was offered by my guild to come see the blood elf raid (dunno its name, the one with kaelthas). And while i died when i got looked at trash mobs the wrong way, it was my first view of raids and i loved it and strived to be able to enter and complete ones myself.

  2. Discovering the joys of healing dungeons. I left during cata having only got to level 75. I didnt like leveling but loved dungeons. So few years later during the end of wod, i had a very random desire to play wow dungeons. I expected it to be just play for a few days them drop ot again itch satisfied. I rolled a druid healer as i heard they get dungeons faster. I fell in love with healing and played several different healers, dungeon only all the way to near max level. Then ofc the heal nerfed happened and i had a harsh truth that i was a awful healer, but i overcame that XD.

  3. Discovering monk. In legion prepatch my friends returned to wow with me, this would be the first time i experience current content wow. I wanted to find a main i liked to level with that also healed. Following preachers motto of enjoying minimum 2/3 specs i started creating class trials of every class. I loved shaman healing but hated the 2 dps specs. Thinking i would hate monk (as i usually play casters) i roll up a monk class trial. Instantly fell in love with all 3 specs, leveled to like 25, then said f it and boosted him and here i am. Still going strong.

  4. Bad memory. This moment is probably the only time ive been pissed off in wow, and was a big reason that i dont get annoyed at games in general anymore. Cue some random mid level dungeon i needed to beat. Insert healer and tank who do no mechanics, no teamwork, wipe constantly and just troll. Any attempt to talk to them about this is met with “Im a charizard”. This broke me so much and its always what i think of first when asked about wow memories
