You're a Blizzard employee tasked with making the game worse

Hire bunch of woke people.
Hire not by skill, but other reasons.
Sack all PvP devs, so loud PvP players rage on internet.

  1. all power is now borrowed power.

  2. LF/everything is ditched.

  3. Introduction of a new Magetower (that is impossible to complete, but shush…we arent telling people that!).

mwa ha ha ha!!

  1. Introduce WoW Mobile. To cater this the number of abilities will be reduced to a DH level (not really, but still), a maximum of 5;
  2. Add whatever leaver-punishment people have asked for (M+). This should put pugging M+ to a final resting place;
  3. Some funky borrowed power is being reintroduced, forcing you to do the content at the opposing side of what you intend to do; PvP <-> mythic raiding, M+ <-> picking flowers

  1. Hard PvP templates with no customation. We will decide the stat distributions and these will then be reviewed every 7 months (or so) by one of our PvE art design interns.

  2. Corruptions and Titanforging are coming back. In M+, this is only available if you 3-chest a key within the top 3 levels of the “community best”.

  3. Multiple bosses of the next raid tier are airborne vehicle fights, including the final boss. All with vastly different mechanics and controls. BiS loot drops from this boss but is faction specific.

(Honourable 4th idea; massive purge of allowable addons. Say we’re just “targetting” DPS meters but also ban raid tools like DBM and BigWigs. Also screw over certain UI addons as well. To compensate, we’re making fights from Normal upward even harder.)

It’s easy to catastrophically destroy World of Warcraft.

  1. Homogenize every class completely and remove almost every ability from the “class” that results.
  2. The player now only sees other players if grouped with them. This includes capital cities like Valdrakken.
  3. Reshade the game into having significantly worse lighting and less variety in its landscapes. One great way to accomplish this is to put a Gears of War filter over it. Or maybe the one from Need for Speed Most Wanted.
  4. Just plain stop adding content. At all.
  1. Listen to every race the Alliance and the Horde players want and give them.
However: the Alliance gets the Horde races and the Horde gets the Alliance ones.
All in name of: diversity. Which means: tribalistic, Warmongering themes for the Alliance and even more civilized, peaceful races to the Horde (I know this already happened to Alliance players, but now is taken to the next level).

  2. Mithic Raid and Mithic Dungeons: every mechanic in high end content requires all players to survive the fight, otherwise, they have to restart it. If only one player messes up, it still counts as a failure. Easier versions of the Raid and Dungeons can allow more players to fail (not that many).

  3. PVP: when a player is killed he has a chance to drop gear.

Cheers.

We’re excited to announce the new expansion. Players will be returning to the Shadowlands, but they won’t be alone! The Heart of Azeroth is also making a full return. We are excited to announce we’re adding a new zone - the biggest one yet, along with a new exciting Pathfinder achievement you can earn by becoming exalted with 28 new reputation factions.

Turn up at work.

Job done.

  1. make power progression inverted during leveling — the higher level the weaker you are. Scale mobs in the same zone to hit harder with more hp the higher lvl you are
  2. implement politics into game — remake characters to fit current political agenda
  3. Make gear progression an RNG game — remove any powerful reputation/grinded items and make all items rng on a small %

you say that like its a bad thing but that sounds kinda intresting :stuck_out_tongue:

Haha to each their own!

Better yet.
Make identity politics a burrowed power system.

Your race, gender, religion and sexual orientation unlock new abilities that you need to grind in Torghast.

I would give players everything they want.

It’s funny, because i think those three points, well done, could enhance the experience by a lot.

The “console port” part would inevitably lead to further ability pruning and dumbing down of the game.
I’m not interested in Legion 2.0.

Not at all, with being able to use 72+ binds on my own old controller setting (on which i’ve done Mythic Raiding), i assure you it would not require any kind of pruning.

What Wow lack at the moment for a console port is just a good ally targeting system for healing in raids and a whole interface adapted to controllers.

Bring back sylvanas.
Bring back domination shards.(which they are doing lol)
Bring back Kothria.

  1. When you die in game, your character is forced to go the Shadowlands, is judged by the Arbiter, and sent to the appropriate zone……except it’s always Revendreth, and you always have to complete the whole story line and all side quests without a mount before you can resurrect in Azeroth.

  2. All pvp conquest gear is only available by doing Mythic Plus content. All raiding gear is only available by doing Arena.

  3. To make the game more inclusive, an additional 100 world quests per zone are added. BiS gear is only available by repeating world quests but with a very low drop rate. However, doing 1000 world quests also grants a BiS token which is exchanageable from a vendor who teleports randomly across the zones of past expansions.

Professions:
Make all crafted gear start at ilvl 1. In order to rank up crafted ilvl, you have to craft 10x of that specific gear. Each rank increases the ilvl by 1, and for every rank the required amount to craft for next rank increases by 10. All different crafted gear have to be ranked up individually.

Raids and Dungeons:
Resolve the gear drop bloat by scaling down the amount of gear each boss drops and add another layer of RNG. For each player in the party, the boss gets 15% increased chance of dropping an item, starting at zero. A normal full dungeon group will then have 75% chance for getting a single gear drop from each boss. For each player there will also be a 7,5% chance of a second item dropping, and 3,75% for a third item drop.

PvP:
All players gets 200% Stamina and loses 50% primary and secondary stats. All CDs takes twice as long to be reusable. PvP-gear will only be available from vendor at given ranks, reinstating the vanilla PvP-ranking.

  1. remove raids (LFR included). It’s only m+ time runs now. Players obviouly don’t care about raids anymore.

  2. make pvp gear arena exclusive for 2k+ players. The plebs are here to be farmed.

  3. remove flying. Of any kind.
