It’s fine that you don’t get the point.
Not going to waste my time debating it further with you.

Tesladin gets the point

I dont see a problem with having to choose different talents for certain things. As long as you can still do it with the spec you prefer to play.

its a more theoretical debate.

if i can use just one weapon to beat an enemy why using the other ones? is useless and devs should stop creating’em.

Assuming ppl play for fun or challenge - you never have fun bein doomed to die and isnt challenging cause you are doomed to die.

So why creating choice? we could translate this in a religious\philosophical environment but i prefer never be banned.

I think it’s a weak argument to say that needing to take a specific talent to beat a specific mechanic is unreasonable, it’s not unreasonable. In any case, you’re trying to do it as Prot and you don’t have this talent as Prot and plenty of Prot Warriors have beaten the challenge.

Brann will interrupt and dispel some of them
You can interrupt some of them with pummel if you use timers to track the heal cooldown
Disrupting Shout is a talent you can take for an additional interrupt.
Avatar removes the dot entirely.

There is a video above of someone beating it at ilvl550 or so as Prot Warrior.

Nobody is forcing anyone, Slayer is better suited. If you choose not to use it and fail because of that, then you’re just shooting yourself in the foot and trying to blame someone else.

“Oh god no” the inconvenience of pressing one button on your talent UI, get a grip.

mine was a theoretical question. there is reason to give choice if one is doomed to fail

Did it today as a Mm Hunter ~
Other the 4x pieces that i got lucky with the Vault~all items are Delve (i don’t raid or do any m+ ) Ilvl was 616

With the Nerf the Eggs are a Joke . The boss is pretty easy once you understand the rotation . As a Hunter i found being close to the boss Helps tremendously avoiding everything .

The only problem people may find is the position of the egg that sometimes would play a critical role especially if you are melee i believe. As a range you can easily position yourself to dps=avoid boss abilities .

More and more people will be able to do this boss since better gear and practice would give the results.

This is also one of the major problems.
There are moments the egg gets placed on top of the stairs on the platform, and good luck getting out of the Fear circle there…
Or he places the egg next to the ledge in the corner, pinning you down as melee.
Those are the two worst spots to have them, anywhere else is easily manageable.
Before you could more or less control where they spawned, now its purely RNG.

How far up does the boss scale?
e.g can you outperform the boss with let’s say being ilvl 620? or does he keep scaling up with you?

That means I am being forced to use Slayer.
If Prot + Mountain Thane cannot pull it off and is being told “use slayer”, then in effect I am being forced to change my setup and build because Blizzard forgot to keep the other specs in mind.

There is no such thing as Prot Slayer. You have no idea even about the class you’re playing, give me a break.

I’m just using what’s being “suggested” in the thread here genius.
The “advice” that was given to beat the boss, was go Slayer.

Clueless player who knows nothing about their class, who sucks at the game, crying because Blizzard put some mildly challenging content in. It’s just a pure l2p issue plain and simple.

Just saw a video with a prot Warrior on youtube /watch?v=XCmzoUw4NUE

He has good gear 620 ilvl but the performance is what matter , no errors (well just a few ). You may take some ideas / but still Ilvl~ dmg play a major role .

I believe is pretty duable at 615 ilvl 620++ is an overkill .

There is a video above with a guy taking his belt off to drop his ilvl to 550 and beating it as Prot, it’s one of the strongest specs for the challenge.

His positioning is interesting, going to try and copy that one.
But that dwarven racial man…

Probably spec and class dependant. I can only get the egg to around 45% as resto, so will probably need 620+ to kill it.

To be clear that’s not what drops his ilvl to 550. Taking off items entirely drops your performance by a lot less than it drops your ilvl.

It’s the fact he’s wearing no belt, only 2 piece, and a bunch of 550 BoE’s from the AH, including weapon and shield.

killed him, never doing this mess again…

600ilvl
Brann on level 21 as healer
Prot Warrior mountain Thane.

enough suffering, back to raids

Wait… This was about regular difficulty?

yup.
I’m not touching ?? till I’ve maxed out stuff.
I found out what’s the main issue with the fight for my spec, and it’s the timings.
They’re sometimes super-tight making it really hard to react.
Weaseld my way through now with Bran’s haste/crit buff as healer and basically soaking the fear every time Berserk was up to cheese the egg.

I don’t see myself clearing this on ?? whatsoever, don’t have the reaction time anymore to mash a button split second. Maybe when I’m outgeared.
Got the achievement and mog, so I’m happy.

How did we go down the slayer rabbit hole then?

All you have to do is press interrupt on the spittle. Or didn’t you want to be pigeon-holed into taking a talent or pressing a button just to kill a boss?
