It you wanna raid “gatekeeping free”, you can, make your own group and invite anyone.
I dont like parseworldbuff6/6exp mentality. I actually hate it. Thats why every reset I welcome newcomers for my group, tell tactics with few worlds and we have good time.

The only thing it proves is that it is possible to beat the raid even with randoms, but it’ll take several hours and 2 raids. If anything, this is an evidence that gatekeeping is pretty much justified since people don’t want to spend several hours wiping on something that could be cleared in under 1 hour in 1 smooth run with decently geared players / good specs.
This is why the devs should balance classes based off of their PvE DPS first and foremost, so that you’re not gatekept from the raid just because you have a spec that’s not meta

People dont want to carry other people in PUG its that simple.
The solutions are out there: join a guild, make your own group or pay the Raid leader with gold for the invite.
Or you can spend another 10-20 minutes during pick time and find another group.
For every group that make an indeepth interview there are two other groups that takes everyone in LFG chat.
This problem will get worst every phase if blizz continue with strong last boss mentality.

None of this is the point tho. You vet people so you don’t wipe. No one wants to spend extra time in there dying for no reason forcing you to run over to Mulgore or Goldshire to get another DMF buff. Ofc you can complete the raid with basically anyone. Again, that was never the point of making sure you dont get clowns tho. You simply want a clean blasting group that does it quickly and gives you the chance to actually log well yourself. Since ones logs are heavily tied to the time it takes to kill the boss. Besides, just checking someones logs and making sure they are not complete clowns takes a few minutes at most. For every 3 clowns that whisper you, you get at least 1 decent person. Checking logs is not “hardcore” or “gate keeping”. We simply do not want to carry a bunch of people through the raid thus wasting our time. NO ONE, said that you need to be a giga parsing super chad to clear Gnomer. I don’t get where this comes from.
I’ve pugged every reset since launch. We’ve cleared every time. I always check peoples logs and so far our fastest run is under 30 minutes. Pretty fast as a pug if you ask me. I think I’ve had an objectively better experience of this raid since we never really wiped anywhere. Saying that Ziqo struggled his way through an easy raid with a bunch of randoms isnt really selling the point you want to make here.

never forget guys if you do bombs and push buttons at last gnomer boss you are a clown because your parsing grey, only the three guys parsing 99 carried by seven people to do so are worth inviting

Weird, I parsed purple and orange when I clicked buttons and killed bombs. Last raid I didn’t and got a 99.

The issue with having A pug style game like we have now is lets say you clear 4/6 or 5/6 and someone leaves or just is bad since its easy to get carried on the first 4 bosses.
Its really hard and time consuming to replace that leaver or badie! The «good» people wont be joining A raid that deep in allready.

Cherry picking the one parse that wasn’t orange or purple on last boss kek, have a closer look, I got upset for my own reasons so I afk’d some of the fight and died towards the end.

You can do mechanics, and still parse well, so there is no excuse for being a grey parser.
