After no small amount of void related horrors elsewhere, The Nightblades has now finally returned back to Ashenvale. Next on the horizon is Ashenvale Autumn , where many of us will be hosting events for the wider community. :crescent_moon:

Hope to see many there!

I’m happy to see that this guild still wanders on. May you always thrive and turn every intruder into a porcupine.
Except for me of course, I’m a good one. Honest.

With the Ashenvale Autumn over, the Nightblades settle in for some well earned rest. There are however rumours about new adventures on the horison, so rest assured, we do not dare get too comfortable in the post-event lull from a busy September. Soon enough, we will be back to terrible rolls and misadventures once more!

The Nightblades are still hard at work defending Ashenvale, with a new campaign right around the corner! An all too ordinary escort mission calls the sentinels to Stonetalon, but what will they find there? Undead monstrosities? Old intrigue and mysteries of the Sisterhood? Endless amounts of trauma? All of the above…?

Meanwhile, tonight the Nightblades took on another dose of trauma, aiding a draconic ally by venturing into a glimpse of Ashenvale’s recent war-torn past…

If you see a sentinel out on patrol, please offer them a hug and a mug of hot chocolate. They probably need it.

As 10.2 is drawing nearer, the Nightblades will soon be heading out to the defense of Amirdrassil. In light of that, we have decided to slowly open up our recruitment again. If you’ve always wanted to join, or have been curious about us, this would be the perfect time to seek us out. We welcome any and all to come and play with us and for the right players and characters, we may have openings to join. So don’t hesitate to poke us in game and come and introduce yourself IC. You’re also more than welcome to send us an application via our website: https://www.nightbladesentinels.com/application-form/ :crescent_moon:

Nice to see recruitment open again! One of the best kaldorei guilds out there, 10/10, would give my claw of approval!

Almost a decade ago, the Nightblades fought in the War of Thorns, fighting tooth and claw for every inch of forest as the Sentinels were shattered, and the Kaldorei pushed back across first Ashenvale and then Darkshore. At the culmination of it all, they witnessed the burning of Teldrassil first hand - but that night of cruelty and infamy was only the beginning of the arduous tale ahead. The years since have been long, and at times a grim march - filled with tales of loss, brushes with death and vengeance, and battle seemingly without end.

But now as the Sentinels answer the highest calling and rally to their encampment beneath the boughs of a new World Tree, assembled beside spirits and dragons to banish the encroaching flames from the Emerald Dream, it seems a new moon may soon rise to bring an end to the time of strife - with one final, burning hurdle between the Kaldorei and their promised future. But what price must yet be paid to see this new age come about?

Our campaign within the Emerald Dream, “Dream’s Kindling”, has begun! The Nightblades have already been waging war against their profane enemy, matching their fury and prowess against the servants of flame. But there’s plenty more to come! If you are a fellow protector of Amirdrassil, we might just meet beneath the World Tree, or perhaps further afield within the Dream!

After a series of fierce battles against the servants of flame, rescue missions, changes of heart and all-too-close brushes with death, the Nightblades rode behind enemy lines with the green dragonflight for the final assault of the campaign! It’s a long way from Ashenvale patrol duty…

The battle against their foe was a costly one, and you’ll currently find most of the cadre recovering at the Eye of Ysera as they await the blooming of Amirdrassil and the future it brings. Of course, idle sentinels tend to get restless in the meantime.

Tonight, The Nightblades gathered for the final ceremony of our campaign, “Dream’s Kindling”, as well as a ceremony of offerings for the new world tree. We got company from parts of the community as well for the offering ceremony, and many little tales and tidbits of personal value was shared by many. To say that the past nights have perhaps been a little emotional for many of the sentinels would be a bit of an understatement.

For many of us, this also marks the conclusion of a 5,5 year long story in telling. The Nightblades were around to fight for Teldrassil and Amidrassil both, and realising that we have spent countless of hours telling tales, playing events, and writing campaigns to carry our story between these two points is insane. That some characters have held on to memories, tales or objects that was shared or laid down as an offering as a chapter of strife was closed and new beginnings were made is equally wild.

Nightblades, I am so happy to have been a part of all these tales with you. From start to finish of a very long and rough arc from Teldrassil to Amirdrassil, we have taken lore of all kinds and shapes in a stride and just made it work so well. I am proud for having been part of telling and writing this tale of ours, and that we eventually got to play out such a significant ending together. Thank you. I would not have wanted to do this with any others than you.

Tor ilisar’thera’nal, my teal friends. Here is to the new glorious adventures coming

Saw you guys at Amirdrassil, and my night elf joined in! It was very fun, and a good thing to see people are starting to go there already!

I can only echo all of this. I’ve been lucky enough to officer our little crew all the way from Teldrassil to Amirdrassil and while the lore along the way has been a rough ride at times, I’m so immensely proud of the positive approach the guild took, the adventures we’ve created and the genuine friendships we’ve made that kept us sentinelling along all the way through (what was hopefully) the darkest chapter of the Kaldorei from beginning to end!

Tonight was a very emotional send-off to burdens IC carried since we were roleplaying through the War of Thorns years ago. I had come back to RP back then just after seeing the BFA trailer where Teldrassil burned, and it was a depressing enough sight to make me consider quitting the game. But in the end I decided to join the Nightblades and see what stories the night elf community would make out of it all, and I couldn’t be happier that I did.

So the hugest of thank yous to everyone who makes this guild what it is, the current members and those who have come and gone along the way, the brave DMs who have spun some amazingly fun (and occasionally chaotic!) tales, and the friends in the community we’ve played alongside. We have something truly special here, and I hope the next chapter is as wonderful and memorable as this one!

Wish I could have been around, rather than at work, sounds like an awesome time.

Glad the Nightblades have stuck around, the other Nelf guilds I’ve been part of through Legion and after have all faded away now. It’s nice to see the Sentinels still standing

We have no plans on fading anytime soon. After all, someone has to be responsible for taking care of the horrible dice roll curse in Kalimdor!
