šŸ”„ War Within - Dead even before it came out

Apparently we aren’t choosing either way  the path is already designed for us.
The path is flawed!!!

it’s a lie, every class has different builds for different situations and people actively theorycraft at the start of each season

Are people getting worked up by talent names?
Really?..

I like outlaw playstyle but I dont want to play as a ā€œcriminal, pirateā€. Blizzard fix it!
Jesus people… :man_facepalming:

It’s also funny that the talents are already ā€œpickedā€ for us not only cause they’re the strongest one by far, but also because tier sets requires them to work. But yeah, dIfFeRenT BuiLds.

setpieces force you to pick only 1-2 talent out of 60 available, anyway setpieces working around specific talents are making optimized builds and rotation more diverse from season to season, not the other way around

so your best defense is that it is false advertising?

defense of what exactly?
How it is a false advertising? What they advertised to you, timmy? What kind of deceit you become victim of?

Did you? Or you just picked whatever icevein or wowhead suggested?

I’m an active resident of warlock discord.
Anyway it doesn’t matter, even if you just copy build you are still doing it wrong because some dungeons and bosses for the most optimized playstyle require you to change a node or 2, nevermind the fact that we have pure st, cleave, aoe, and hybrid builds for almost every class

Idk I won’t preorder for sure. Gonna make my decision after its launch. Disneycraft is not good enough to preorder you know

We will see what they offer.

So you are aware that there are multiple hero talents for this exact reason right? Don’t want wake of ashes but want to choose a hero talent tree?

Then take herald of the sun, then just proc sunspots on avenging wrath, problem solved, wont be optimal since wake of ashes would also proc it more but yknow, if you don’t care about being optimal you can also just ignore talents in general yknow, why even choose them, why not the freedom for no talents, and no baseline abilities. It’s genius ignore every logical step to play well and you’ll be the most unique not minmaxer ever, you’ll be trash cause you refuse to pick something optimal but hey you can go to sleep knowing you played the game how you wanted.

In all seriousness, the talents are supposed to further a playstyle, and the ret playstyle and prot includes wake of ashes or eye of tyr, if you want to be bad for no reason, they look awesome, feel awesome imo and I see no reason why you wouldn’t take it but you do you i guess. Like you mentioned some tier sets do this too, it’s simply a choice of playstyle, so if you play intentionally outside of the norm playstyle for whatever reason, dont expect blizzard to accomodate you, it’s like if you enjoy an activity that noone else does like idk walking around azeroth, don’t be suprised that you don’t get content to your activity if it’s so rare, grow up and stop strawmaning like they are choosing your talents for you, they are improving what playstyle is most taken, and even if not that, herald of the sun allows you to play it even without this, so stop complaining when you are forcing yourself to have the problem.

So if the Hero spec was called ā€œRangerā€ and all the abilities would do the same things just not named or look dark and shadowy?

Because i dont see ppl argue like this on specs like Sentinel, Templar or other generic titles associated with the class.

Some might be, most are not. You are all arguing the RP of it all, this for me is an non issue. Especially the ā€œDark rangerā€ one as you can currently look the part on any elf modell and on any class they can play as, even as San’layn. Where is your outrage on that?

Why is that a non issue for you but the name of a spec is?

For me it looks like you guys are looking to be angry about something for… reasons and nothing more

Personally never been less hyped for an Expac.
ā€œWar withinā€ Even the name is lame. And dwarves? Really? Dwarves?

I’ll tell you a secret. in 17 years on the paladin… I’ve never played retri nor holy :scream::scream::fearful::fearful: the only sunspots I’ll see in the future are the ones when I’m going to walk this summer.

Same as my DK… only played blood.
Same as my DH… always played Vengeance…
Same with my monk… I never played dps nor healer.
Same with my Druid… I don’t even know what the other specs outside guardian do.
And yes, you guessed it… same with my warrior, although I did play a bit of fury.

Edit: I really don’t understand why people don’t get it. You’ve got slices of cucumbers over your eyes. These talents are tied to other talents (so far). I don’t care if they are viable or not, I’m not questioning the talent chosen.
What I’m questioning is the fact that they’ve disguised a new everfreakinggreen feature meant to last forever to a talent of a talent tree… and not the first talent in the tree but further down the rows, at least for paladins.

Am I the insane here??? Seems like it.
Hunters got a new spell not tied to anything. Why not every class? :face_with_raised_eyebrow:
I don’t mind another spell, but class balances happen all the time. What happens when they nerf Eye of Tyr or Wake of Ashes because the new interaction is too op? Then Wake of ashes sims worse than another build but since your freaking spell is bound to that you can’t get away.

Am I really the insane here???

The only thing leaving me disappointed at this point is the fact they haven’t shown anything for Shamans yet while some classes already have 3 out. It’s a little frustrating but on other hand, it’s building anticipation and maybe the wait is worth it.

I don’t think the Hero Talent trees are bad so far. I think people just have a big and unrealistic expectation on it and they don’t even know what they want.

Just because you don’t care about it, doesn’t mean it’s not a problem.
For you it might be non-issue that children starve in Africa, but that isn’t really counter-argument for advocating for helping them.

Druid class tree before Dragonflight was one of the first out… and it was by far the worst and it stays completely garbage with huge gap even today.
I’d say it’s probably for the better.
The ideal time for them to release hero talents for your favorite class is towards the end after like 3/4 are released, so there are lessons learned already, but still time to change stuff.

Because I’m not telling others how to play, I’m looking at how I play - I can choose not to play a monk with dark ranger elf costumization, but I can’t shy away from picking san’lay talents if they are the more suitable play style or the one that is called ā€œmetaā€ unless I want to abandon the toon for the addon, one is pure costumization and ā€œfree to chooseā€ the other is gameplay related.

You answer this point but ignore the other so ill ask again while staring intently with my currently VERY red eyes!

Why do you care about the spec name not making sense while ignoring the fact that any elf can have the LOOK of a Dark Ranger / San’layn?

Edit: Btw, equating this non issue topic with that example? Yhea sure, this is truly a life or death topic!!

Мe, very sensitive rp person is very disappointed with diabolist rp side, you see, its called ā€œDIABOListā€ and there are zero connections to popular video game franchises called ā€œDiabloā€, outrageous.
