🦄 High Elves will be playable by the end of Midnight

Nah, youve already demonstrated that what is and isnt void elf doesnt matter to you in the slightest.
Youll argue around anything i show you because you dont care.
You care about you and only you.
Why even try to appease you?

Show it to me.

If i show it to you, youll back down and change your stance?

Look. I like entropic embrace. I personally wish they’d make it even cooler, it looks kinda cheap right now.

Do I want options to make it less and more apparent? Yes.
Do I want options to make Void Elves more void-y? Absolutely.

Blizzard is just lazy.

And now you get it.

Nothing else is important save getting the perfect Elf.

The faction system? Irrelevant. The fact that Blood Elves are High Elves? Nope, pretend a tiny group of rebels are the true ones. The unique aesthetic and lore of Void Elves? Pagh! What a Void Elf really wants is to be less voidy.

But remember, there is no standalone allied race and the chances of them modifying Void Elves in the way she wants is next to zero. I mean, how do you think someone outside this debate would see the request to make VOID Elves less voidy?

I mean really, how does it come across? I mean if the void upsets them that much, play something else is the normal reaction.

It’s like complaining about Gnomes because they are short.

God forbid we have sensible options in an RPG game.

Options are things like different hairstyles or skin tones.

Not denying that you are what you signed up to be.

I can answer that, since that applies to me:
I’d be glad about that. The void theme is ugly and boring.

It’s not denying anything since again, the very leader and npcs of the Void Elves don’t erupt into a random ugly purple mess during combat.

It’s so unappealing. It’s not even cool looking.
It may as well be a graphical glitch.

You have literally participated in this debate.

And if you don’t like the void theme of a VOID elf…play something else?

Play something else then?

So, the high elves join the horde? Do you think anyone, horde fans, alliance fans, blood elf fans, high elf fans, void elf fans, would be okay with? This will be a sh*t show.

Now, if you imply something else, and include things like the blood elf/high elf npcs running in and out of the Stormwind Portal room, might mean the status quo might be shaken up that makes most happy? like gameplay neutral blood elves, which are in the story blood elves if chosen horde and high elves if chosen alliance, like tushui and huojin pandaren? That would be likely better

Datamining says they are going home to live in a Horde capital. And I’d be more than OK with it. It means they are leaving the narrative for the most part. Might see Veressa occasionally in her role as permanent sidekick to SOMEONE though.

what does “horde capital” even mean? Alliance will have access to it.

Yeah it’s more a Horde neutral capital at this point. And High elves are introduced every expansions. And datamining says they still hate the Sunreavers even if they’re back to Silvermoon. So no Horde High elves, ofc.

Let’s nip this in the bud shall we?

The presence of the Alliance in Silvermoon is temporary as of the narrative but permanent for game mechanics, just as Dalaran floating over the Broken Isles is permanent for game mechanics but in reality it’s in a zillion pieces on the shores of Khaz’Algar. Even NPCs in Silvermoon apparently remind players that the presence is temporary.

The Blood Elves are not leaving the Horde. Silvermoon is a Horde capital. And there are already rumblings Blizzard may wish to return to a more hostile relationship between the factions at some point. Narratively, it’s a Horde capital. And so as the story moves on, Alliance High Elves will be living in a Horde capital rebuilding that city and civilization. That’s the end of their story.

Silvermoon will become a neutral capital favoring the Horde, nothing more.

I demonstrated why that isn’t the case. Simply stating a one line contrary opinion doesn’t change the facts. Silvermoon is a Horde capital. The Alliance High Elves are choosing to go back and live there.

Daily reminder that your facts aren’t Blizzard facts.

The neutrality will be over the moment the expansion is over. The blood elves won’t leave their faction just because you cry about it.

All i was really saying is that they seem to have made an actual effort to show that everything high elf, is still part of blood elf society
Theres nothing that high elves in midnight have that blood elves do not. Both customisation wise and architecture wise. The high elf blue is a normal blood elf colour in midnight.
High elf blue is a horde exclusive housing option.

Void elves share nothing with high elf or blood elf npcs other than their skin tones in midnight.

So they seem to be leaning heavily towards blood = high at the moment.

If they wanted void elves to be the stand in, surely at least one high elf npc would use their hair.
