The thing is,they cant incress layers,how do “you”/they then downsize the realms for phase 2?where they hope to remove layering?
They can add 10 more layers per realm,but no way you see ever those realm shrink to 3k and removed layering.
I think they need to bite the bullet and add 10 more realms/servers,and hope that people move to them,and latter on offer free character migration to the people,also people need to reserve there name on the realms.
School has’nt begun yet!! 
6500 Mograine, looks like I’m back to Ashbringer… until that one gets a 5k queue by 6pm. Really wish I knew which server I can actually play on.
they are doing that but not as you wanted, just 2 at the time till they fill up a bit.

Ashbringer is a new one from yesterday. It had 5k queue 1 hour after going up.
Switching servers is not an option because I already spent many hours in this server.
Give us free character migration please
They are too slow at it,witch is there trademark dare i say.I forgot who made the thread,but the guy was right,you had 270k people in quee last night for the whole of EU.And if we say that there is like 1 server with 5 layers,thats 15k pop per realm,then they need to add not 10,but close to 20 xD,but i think 15 or 10 with decent quee times of 30 min would suffice.
Yep can confirm,last night gave a chek on log in quees,4 had insta quees from medium,but Ashbringer “the new one” had a 6k quee xD
I think they have a mentality of keeping as few realms as possible because people will quit anyway. Of course people will quit if they can’t even log in. That is such backwards logic.

i do agree with you but cant blame blizz on the other side. there are still 2 pvp realms low pop so they wait a bit

I know there is alot of those “after the hype” tourist,but just for instance i have 3 rlf + wife from one of them planing to play for the weekend,and they will play the game(it will take them 2 months till 60,but they will play it) also i was also not that sure should i stick and play,but i was like yea Classic imo is more apealing then Retail,and currently gaming aside retro is in a bad spot.
Point being people will stick with the game.I also agree,i think not going full tilt since the start hurt them more,then going slow and careful as they are now.
