12 weeks to catch-up. Start now and be done in September

That’s what I’m complaining about
I’m OK with grinding the levels, but forcing me to do that over 12 weeks is not cool.

Let me no-life my hunter for a week or two and call it a cloak

I wanna play my hpriest in pvp with new changes to pvp, but its cloak is only 50 corruption resistance, but i will me at a gigantic disadvantage compared to other players and that really annoys me, i think imma just quit WoW when my sub runs out in a few weeks, and then maybe come back again when they decide to fix this. - oh and also its really annoying for us pvp players you can only level cloak by doing pve stuff

well its ok to not enjoy mmorpg aspects in mmorpg.

maybe its time to realise you only enjoy leveling

people who put time should be always ahead people who are to lazy to do so.

as it should be

people who put effort should be ahead of you perfrmancewise

thats the core base of mmorpg

people who put effort are stronger then those who dont.

ye pls tell us how catch up mechanics worked in Legion and WoD

go go  im sure you can show how it was different from BfA

oh wait …

That’s the gist of it: we can’t put the effort in, due to the catchup mechanism being so very limited.

Yes, this catch is just wayyy to long. It just discourages from trying another class, when I think about the road ahead… insane.
Also if I were blizz, I would also consider sockets price reduction, since 10 extra sockets gives a lot (for my hunt, 1crit gives almost 13dps, so 10x50x13 - 6500 extra dps). Then if you add corruption ressistance gap, which would allow to add 2-3 severe/expedient corruptions (each gives ~4k dps), we get a very nice number - ~20k dps only from catch up stuff.
There is one hunter in my guild who has equal ilvl to mine hunter, but since he has tons of sockets and more cloak ressistance - his numbers are constantly 10-15% higher, even if I perform close to my sim max.
This catch-up gap needs to be adressed.

It sucks not only for alts, it is a problem for people who stopped playing and returned. I took a break 3 months ago after Curve and m+15 achievement and I returned about 2 weeks ago. Even if I played my main monk (stopped playing at rank 14 cloak) I would never catch up till like September.

Simply anyone who took a break from playing for a while this patch is screwed. I would love to take effort and catchup but I simply can’t.

Came back a couple of weeks ago. Yesterday I understood the catch up mechanics (if you can even call it that) for the cloak. Now I’m cancelling my subscription again. s*it game

That would be that any full clear of the vision would reward a rank 15 cloak with a +3 resist core. And same thing for a N’zoth kill on any difficulty, probably even LFR. As long as you haven’t hit the current max resistance of course.

TBC? Vannila?

In both, it was easy to roll an alt and gear it up. There was no gating except for the loot lockouts in raids. Reputation was the harder part, but with tabards, that could be done quickly too.

In short, TBC had better catchup mechanisms than BfA.

Next.

There wouldn’t really be a need for catch-up if you they just stopped timegating so much.

Why is there a weekly lockout on getting a malefic core in the first place? Especially when you’re behind schedule, as it were.

Not really, I leveled all of them through spamming dungeons, didn’t step out and do 1 quest with them. Plus I mainly pvp, I wanted to try them to pvp with but you have to spend not weeks but months gearing in pve to be viable for the arena, even random bg’s or you get 1 shotted and do 0 dmg. So theres no point doing it until shadowlands.

You joking?? they are not putting effort into farming crap, its literally the opposite of what your saying, they just waste a lot of time doing slave farming to get an advantage so despite me being better its troublesome for me to push rating, it took me ages to get 2.4k this season because i was way behind on gear, i still got it despite them having far better gear, but i was at a major disadvantage.

God im so pissed about this… Why does blizzard hate pvp now, in legion it was so nice, and now its just about slave pve content on low difficulty.

big yikes. rushing another unfinished product so the droids can get dopamine injections faster

Yea i mean were at a point in the expansion where the HOF is done for both factions, we have vendors for corruption with a currency thats is debatably easy to get making it worthwhile doing content again. It just feels like a shame to waste the now positive aspects of corruption and its RNG crazyness to feeling underpowered on a toon just because your limited in your catch up. Im keeping my fingers crossed for either full vision spam to catch up (not much use outside doing 2 or 3 for item chances and currency) or add other options like complete a 15 or conquest cap for the PVPer’s out there.

I love it when someone tries to be smart, but fails.

Just too bad this forum doesn’t has an ignore/filter option. You would be the first in my filter.

so dont slave farm

just dont complain you are weaker then people who grinded it for past 4 months.

simple choice.
