Not only that BUT people with low gear that tries to join low keys dont get invited because plenty of high ilvl players joins low keys, toxic system
People are getting wise to it… so they need to get smarter.
We asked for WotLK valor system and got this crap.
Doesn’t seem like a smart move from blizzard.

The solution I have found to this abomination of a system (which, as already pointed out can be easily fixed by adding ilvl 200 upgradable valor gear) is to run my own keys, as I am still working on my KSM.
Pick the 4 best (meta classes) guys that show up and it’s a 100% guaranteed timed key, unless:
-Healer goes offline every two pulls
-dps start blaming tank for bad route, then leave
-tank blames dps for low dps and failed mechanics, then leave
-healer has to leave because his nan fell out of the window (heard it once !)
The usual pug drama, thankfully I tend to put on ignore toxic people, so far I still have 10-12 spots in my list

I really don’t understand why it’s a flat amount for any level of M+, maybe give a stacking multiplier of 75 valor for each level above +1?
So if you do a +11, you get 885 valor.
Because the costs for upgrading per level is the same. And from next week we are capped on 750 per week anyway, so i assume we get overflowed with valor.
The problem is the system encourages you to just spam +1’s nonstop, when it should encourage doing higher level keys instead.
Or just do a 15 and start upgrading a 210. Way faster.
Probably only in the first week. People who want to spam also want to get their 10 dungeons for the week done for the vault. That is more valor than weekly can obtained.
I’ve got a 207 Staff, that I would like to upgrade to 220 (well, I’d like to upgrade it higher, but well, you know…). That requires 4000 Valor. To obtain 4000 valor, I need to run 29.6 M+ dungeons.
29.6 Mythic+ Dungeons.

Don’t get me wrong I do not expect a walk in the park to upgrade this gear. But 29.6 M+ Dungeons, just to upgrade an item enough, so I can use my Covenant Transmog Staff, because my Covenant doesn’t have a Transmog Mage sword to transmog onto the Spell sword I currently have.

Also, that’s going to eat most of your valor allowance. All for an upgrade of a single item from 207 to 220. If you were to farm another 4000 after spending the entire allowance, you’d need more than 5 weeks.

Yep, and for an item that’ll probably get replaced in less than 5 weeks from the vault.
Not very well thought out this system.
Your weapon is probably the last item you want to upgrade, with the current system. Half of the gear slots costs only 250 valor to upgrade 1 tier. I would start with those 
Very true. Getting an Off-hand and upgrading that would be alot cheaper, and give the same ilvl increase.
I would just need to suffer with the bad transmog.

But if you already have a few 210s which you want to upgrade to 220, why would do +15 if you can do 3 +2s within the same time?
Since u are always gonna need another item all the way, until u are full 220. Waste of time to bank valor if you need upgrades.
