Having the same problem with 5-10 sec freeze and sometimes black screen. It has been like this since 8.3. And still now fix.

Have the same issue, 2-4sec freezes, random Ms world latency spikes (Iām at a normal 24-35) sitting at 30ā¦ then it explodes to 600-800
Have donāt it all, on my 3rd reinstall nowā¦ common this is not an issue on my unit, if so Iāll make my own post but I run a fairly new unit ( RTX2070 8GB, Core i7-9750H, 16GB RAM, 512GB PCIe SSD) and everyone seems to have this issue nowā¦

Still happening to me. Screen will freeze 10 seconds or so at a time, happens extremely often as soon as I open character panel or talking head frame appears. Please fix.

Can we PLEASE have an update on what the team has done to try and fix this issue? Is it Nvidiaās fault or is there something else? Itās been over a month that we have been having these issues. How little you guys are updating us is rather disappointing.
As someone that knows his way around software development there is absolutely NO WAY a team with the capabilities of Blizzard has not been able to reproduce the issue to narrow down the cause. Iāve sent in multiple diagnostic results and provided as much information as I can, but it just feels like this is just not gonna get fixed anytime soon.
The fact that I can run the game almost completely fine on lower graphic settings without getting these freezes should in itself already narrow it down quite a lot, but Iām not here to do your work for you.
Are you gonna keep assuming we are gonna keep paying subscriptions for a game we canāt play properly?

I didnt got any answer tooā¦The only answers i get on my ticket and in forum(which are the same) is to check my programms my card my drivers my performance bla bla blaā¦things i already checked and changed with GM on ticket the same things they tell me in here to do.But seriously this problem its a month now before i was fine i tell them and they dont believe me.

Today has been the worst day so farā¦ jumping from 25 to 850Ms and freezing for 2-4 sec in the raid! CBA this sĀ¤it will kill my raidspotā¦

Its always much worse on wednesdays and thursday.
Had no freezes yday, today i have had like 1-2 per hour.

Since patch 8.3 I have been having the same problem . My G/C is two half years old and thought it was on its way out. I got in touch with NVIDIA forums, after doing lots of test and sending them in. I was then told that there was nothing wrong with the card. Then I done the same test with wow running, there came back to me said "there could see a problem and it could be the G/C . I only get this problem in wow. I then sent the card back to be tested it came back a week later and was told there is nothing wrong with it . Now I see by this post that Iām not the only one with this problem .
Come on wow get it sorted been playing for 10 years with geforce G/C and this is 1st time had a problemā¦

Not sure what theyāve done, or it could be more addons crashing and freezing but getting lag in raids when people loot at the same time. Still freezing sometimes but at least it doesnāt freeze the stream anymore (small fix?).
Some say they get this when people use the mythic+ weakaura to check for keys, granted we have between 50 to 70 ppl online each night so could be on their end.
Had some complaints from my team about Prat, RCLootCouncil, Bigwigs tonight so maybe that could be the issue? Just weird that this all started in 8.3 and like someone said earlier, didnāt have these problems in the PTR.
And itās not the PC, I seriously canāt think of any other game that struggles so much with my I9 9900k, 16Gb of 3200Mhz DDR4 and 2080s in SLI except some alpha/early access stuff on Steam.
Ow and a fresh install worked for exactly 24 hours then same freezes again.

This problem not related to VGA or addons, many players tried out with Clean install, without addon and fresh driver.
Blizzard, could it be some Antivirus conflict?
One PC using Sophos AV (where I have problem), the other PC running Eset Smart Security.
For me this issue is only with DX11 setting from advanced graphics settings, and unfortunately the game has the highest FPS on that setting. DX12 is about 10 fps lower in general for me and forced vsync, aka 60fps cap, no way of removing it (some windows 10 limitation or whatnot with mirroring monitor screens). DX11 Legacy for loses about 20 FPS by average, so no go playing on that.
On DX11 setting I can produce the crash on 100% occasion if wanted, it happens 100% certainty on my hunter when I open Character Screen or Collections Appearances screen. It crashes graphics drivers almost always, sometimes turns off nvidia experience shadowplay as well with the crashā¦ I have 970gtx, windows 10. Yes I deleted Cache, Interface and WTF folders, tried with 100% vanilla wow. I can still produce the crashs 100% on my hunter by just opening char screen or appearances in collections 
This is 100% DX11 setting fault since 8.3. For me at least.

i changed computer, this one has another gpu, still an nvidia but mx instead of gtx. ironically i have experienced no freezes so far, except occasional frame loss during the last boss of the new lfr tier.

Hmmā¦Iām not having any āseriousā freezes, but sometimes the game will just āfreezeā for like 1s and then go on normally.
However, since 8.3 I can say that my FPS has gotten a lot worse and the game just runs worse and worse with each patch being released. I donāt know what the problem is, but itās definitely annoying as with each patch I just have to lower the graphics.
My friends are having the same problem.
Some games just run smooth and like butter on max (Witcher, GW2), while WoW drops down to 30 FPS when not even on max graphics.

Maybe this week is the week we get any sort of update? But probably not. Just keep silent and hope it goes away :).
Iām not replacing my 1500$ GPU just because of developer incompetence.

Problem seems to have suddenly spread into DX11 Legacy for me as well now. This is honestly getting ridiculous. I donāt know what else to do at this point. Getting rather fed up.

I am having same issue. 5-6 seconds freeze and going back normal again. This freezing happening 2-3 times per hour. Sometimes better, sometimes worse.
As people said, i set my directx setting as legacy and it fixed the problem. But my fps and overall performance got worse. Lost 20-30 fps openworld and almost -50 fps at capital cities with crowdedness.
I dont wanna play with low performance while i have good build to run the game with high settings. They must fix it. It is basicaly playing broken game.
I would also like to point out that the Addons have nothing to do with this problem. Every article named Addon creates information pollution. This is just a problem with directx. This is very clear. If your screen does not freeze for 5 seconds, and this problem does not improve except changing the directx settings, please do not write under this heading. If there is someone to help, letās be careful they donāt get confused either.
