8.3 Memory leaks

Not for me. I still have lockups for 10-15 seconds, and today I’ve had two in a row.

you wanted to know what operating systems we have. now you know it. so what? you never replied back.

I have this issue for 2 months now (since I got in back to playing). I thought it was because of my system setup but after some digging it seems it is not.

I have a notebook operated by win10 Enterprise x64 bit, i7-8550 with 16 gb ram and two graphic card. one is intel uhd 620 and amd r7m460. I am pretty sure the setup is capable to play at least lowest graphic settings without any trouble, but NO. without any reason (not like it needs to render much detail) the WoW window gets stuck for 3-5 seconds and then all screen goes black and comes back after 3-5 seconds. the other windows such as web browser, discord etc. go black sometimes (not every time) and then WoW works normally again. This happens more than enough to trigger me recently. I can’t do anything in the game (no raids, no m+, no NOTHING). Please at least someone come and say '‘This won’t be solved go play something else’ …

I am experiencing same problem.
After I bought a new pc I started to get theses problems.
With directx 11 legacy worked for a while, but now even with that same thing happens.
Using a AMD Ryzen 5 3600 on a X570 AORUS MASTER with 2 dims of DDR4 3600 with XMP enabled and a 5700xt graphics card. Operating system Win10
Everything is up to date.
Please have a fix. Playing becomes very painful

so its playable without any spells etc? (off particle density)

The off option for the particles is only available on Mac as far as I know, but that’s not even a good alternative as you can’t see some boss mechanics and other important stuff.

I know… but i reinstaled all wow with battle net yesterday(to my mac not in external HDD). And i dont have game time now, but. I make new char, play to 20 lvl without lags, freezs, stay in OG without freezes, lags… Options is particle density medium and graphic card medium all in medium. I dont know if it works in my main char which is stay in Boralus or in another new map. Previously when I play with parcitle density and staying in OG i had freez for 20-30 sec or shut down (black screen)…

will you ever address this thing blizzard or not?

Well guys it seems I found a way to reproduce the freeze. If you stand at 42.91, 41.69 in Dazar’alor and mount your flying mount and hover around 20 yards off the ground, you will freeze periodically. Can anyone confirm or want to test this out with me? May take a moment to happen.

Edit: never mind it stopped happening, I give up

Windows 10 Pro
i5 coffelake processoer
32 GB ram
2 M.2 harddrives

From the first day of 8.3 I’m still having these issues, every 30 seconds I’m freezing for 1-5 sec. Tried DiX 11 Legasy and DiX 11, doesn’t change a thing for me, with DiX 11 it’s just even more frequent. Tried to lower all my settings, updated my drivers, updated my Win10, tried hotfix thing from 8.2.5 issues denying all in security properties and then you have to log in through wow.exe in the main folder. Nothing worked for me. Blizzard still silent, I’mliterally loosing my mind, did anyone really fix it?

I have the same issue except for one thing - My game ACTUALLY crashes and I get a memory detection error come up. I’ve updated all drivers, Windows 10, repaired my game, turned all add-ons off.

The only thing I haven’t tried which I’ve noticed in this post is DirectX11 instead of 12 but rip my FPS…

I’m going to assume this is more than likely caused by a new Windows 10 update as there have been a LOT of bad updates from Microsoft lately causing instability.

Do you get error 132?

Yes, I do :frowning:

Most of the time this error is caused by unstable RAM overclocks.
What you can try is to temporarily disable the XMP profile for your RAM in the BIOS and try with base clocks (2133Mhz).
If it does not crash then you can work on getting your RAM to a stable OC.

No, is not fixed. This always happens to me if I increase all video settings at max.
No idea why I am having good pc if I can use it’s potential.

I noticed that my crashes have stopped recently - my character window or map (or any other window) stopped hanging (making the game client unresponsive for several seconds) when opening in busy areas like Chamber of Heart or Great Seal.
So something has changed definitely, and it’s not the add-ons as the behaviour stopped before I updated my add-ons.

So I’ve tried running the game in DX11 and no change, I’ve also completely deleted the interface, cache and WTF folders and it’s still happening.

This seems to happen roughly ~2hours into a session of WoW
