8.3 Memory leaks

ATi RX 580 8GB

No problems, no issues anywhere. Except it runs the graphics card cooling fans a bit harder than it used to pre-8.3

8.3 has a massive problem at the moment and unfortunately it seems so far in my estimation to have fallen on deaf ears. Your not alone on this one not by a long shot.

I am also using Radeon RX 580, so it isn’t that.

Everyones graphic settings got set to max with the update, may be the issue for you?

No they didn’t. Mine were unchanged. Just because yours got set to max for whatever reason, doesn’t in any way equate to “everyone”.

Not just mine… others too… happened on all of my WoW accounts… glad you’re is fine though.

Okay this may sounds nuts but check your VPN. I seem to have sorted this by turning mine off and on …yes mad but worth a look

Guys what year is it?
The last time Radeons where sold under the ATI label was back in 2010.
They are called AMD Radeons now ;D

I usually play with Max, but when update came they were set to 3 if I remember.
Putting settings on low doesn’t fix the issue.

This is very much still an issue. The freezes that is. Especially when entering a new area after a loadingscreen. But again, can happen at any moment seemingly.

I’m still suffering from these memory leaks. The fixes provided by Blizzard on the US forums don’t seem to do anything for me.

Nvidia Drive set to Debug mode and still has those freezes.

How about give code to Public and offer some reward who fix it first?

just had a 4-5 sec freeze, so no, its not repaired
never had those kind of freeze before 8.3

I’m not getting any freezing but I’m getting a lot of memory violation crashes. 5 times in 2 hours - doesn’t seem to occur with any specific thing going on, it happens on load screens, during fights, flying around, anything.

Starting to really regret accidentally renewing my 6-month sub…

Happens 90% of the times I teleport through random dungeon or raid finder, or sudden change of area like hearthstone. Gtx1060 with 16gb ram.

Since 8.3, im getting fps drops in any 5-man, which is problematic, but bearable. But the fact, that in ANY raid, as soon as i get into combat, the game just drops to 0 fps, then stops responding…its irritating, to say the least.Cant do world bosses, or lfr, not to mention actual raiding with my friends. Tried the DirectX changes, updated drivers, prayed to N’Zoth even. Nothing, it still freezes. Buying Shadowlands when 8.3 was released? Yep, one of my biggest mistakes, it seems…
