9.05 valor system is a giant waste of time

getting gear that trivialises content is core and whole sense of mmorpgs.

wow lost it right to call itself that

and thats why it lost whole casual playerbase

you know those people who actually pay the bills.

it already lost 50% of playerbase - by 9.1 it will be 70-80% of players gone

exacly because of such philosphy - that casuals dont deserve decent gear progression .

Those players quiting have nothing to do with gear. People just made it up to justifi them getting free high end gear. People.like you always using sub drops as weapon to use to get changes you want into the game.

What? There isn’t a single week I haven’t filled 10/10 M+ runs for my vault.

You’re literally making stuff up now.

This system isn’t made for the 1-2 keys weekly players. It’s made for the people that enjoy M+ and play it a lot so that they can work towards something other then anima.

System won’t work because I never get the loot in the first place to upgrade

How did you get to that itemlevel without getting loot? Oo

This.

I do not do m+ often, altough I have some +15s and various +10 - Yesterday I was thinking about the most efficient way to upgrade gear (maybe spamming +8-9 which are very easy at my gear level for the item I want and then spam +2 fo farm valor).

Then I suddenly realized that I have completed something like 15 m+ without a single useful drop.

And how exactly you got your mythic+15 itemlvl without getting any loot in mythic+?

sigh

If it was that easy, I’d have it by now. I’ve done enough 14s that if it was easy, I’d also have done some 15s.

I laughed way too much at this :joy_cat:

nah for sure they left because game is so amazing - not because there is nothign to do but push hardmodes.

so what you are sayign its system made for 0,00001% of playerbase ?

such amazing system - will be so popular i bet .

so now when the content is out, do we know if we can upgrade items with valor on alts who haven’t completed the all 5+, 10+ or 15+?

You are right they left becouse they burned whole WoW content. But this is what casuals wanted. Easy, acessible and covinient content. So dont complain about burning that content in few weeks than have nothing to do. If you want casual content to actuaky last and be meaningfull Blizzard has to give up covinience and acessability.

It was casuals what wanted LFG, LFR, faster leveling, faster gearing, constant catch ups, nonchallenging world content, welfare gear, etc… Blizzars only listened their majority.

So we went now from “i dont have time to raid” to “i dont have time to run dungeons”? What will be next? " I dont have time to level up?"

The current numbers are such that valor does very little. The full effect of valor is that if you farm for a month, you increase the ilvl of one of your drops to that of the vault. Slightly less than a month for a smaller item, slightly more for a larger one. That’s simply too small to matter.

Lipstick on a pig.

its not about people not having time

its about people openly showing blizzard they they dont care about hardmodes.

they never did and they never will

Ion desperate atempt to force them failed completly and utterly lossing more then half of playerbase in 2 months.

those people never left during last 2 expansions

they left exackly in SL because there is nothing fun to do for them .

its Ion who removed TF , its Ion who removed emmisaries gear , its Ion which made world bosses not drop loot for months , its Ion who refuses to put in real VP gear into game.

its not players at fault - the only person responsible for that is game director who called wrong shots.

dont blame mythiclogical burn out . those people went to play other games like FF14 not because they are burned out only because they offer them good casual progression . WoW doesnt.

and current iteration of VP will be proof of it. it will make even more people throw the towel and unsub.

Good post, there is no reason to lock valor upgrades behind Keystone barriers - let every one upgrade items. Remember there is a cap so if you are a +2 runner you will get low items that will require 10 or so upgrades PER ITEM to get to 220 levels. If you are a +10 runner it will take 3-4 PER ITEM , if you are a +15 runner and you are plugging a gap a 210 from end of dungeon drop will take 3 once.

Everyone progresses but at a pace proportional to their mythic+ level. PROGRESSION is what is needed to keep people interested.

9.1 will most likely raise max loot to 265/75 level and 225 will be had through easy content.

Why would you spend time on that system unless its 1 or 2 items that are hard to get upgraded otherwise?

Your best use of time is to farm items that will get you lots of gold for next patch and raise an alt or two.

You are right. Difficulty levels are nonsense in mmo game. Ufortunately lof of players think they have no impact on the game and proceed to complain about issue what has been caused by them.

Just look at posts about LFR removal. 90% of players instantly downvote OP. How in the hell you expect Blizzard to create fun, long term and meaningfull casual content when so many players defend exactly what makes creating such content impossible.

Difficulty levels are fine, but they are not a replacement for content. That’s why most people don’t do m+ seriously and don’t do raids on more than one difficulty - the content is too boring and too tedious to get into to repeat for too long. A couple of repeats and it’s done. Part of the problem is Blizzard, their affixes in m+ aren’t enjoyable, the “variety” they add is too small and unpleasant. I won’t even talk about different difficulties in Torghast, they are total trash. Blizzard are bad at it.

But Blizzard cant give you enough content then. Even if they would add 15 new dungeons thats about 550 minutes of extra playtime for casual audience. But it would takes months to create such content so whats the point?
