it will b equally useless then too - as majority of your upgrade will be coming out of GV - doesnt matter if you raid or m+ - majority of your gear will come from weekly chests.

ill give here example of my mage. when i started it on max level i only did 1 x m+2 on him before reset after it dinged 60. next week after completing only covenant campaign i already joined a +10 pug - for next weeks i did nothing on it but run 1xm+10 /11a week . its now 209 itlv . by the time 9.1 hits it will be probably 215+ itlv. by doing virtualy nothing in this game

i dare you - do the maths that would count how many m+ you would have to do in order to reach overall 210itlv up from 184 which was the gear we all begun this expansion . my bet is between 200+ . that is if gear worth upgrading woudl even drop for you in first 100 runs.

remeber there is cap - so next tier you will be getting only 750 VP a week.

so after 10 weeks of patch you will have enough VP to upgrade what … 2 items to middle tier upgrades ? while in this time getting major upgrade only from GV anyway .

this system is garbage thats what it is.

actually FFXIV Does. lol, if u look at their numbers, Yoshi the lead developer even Said so in a interview… but he also designs the game toi be played in that way… that the large majority just come back each patch to do story.

FFXIV include their numbers in eastern. WoW Doesnt, also ontop of that WoW Had a Sub number above 4mil which means even after losing 50% They still have more players then FFXIV.

FFXIV have active accounts because if u Deactivate ur account it remains “Active” in a f2p state. WoW Deactivates accounts… ontop of this… alot of people remain Subbed to FFXIV without logging on daily.

FFXIV Even by developers are susposed to be a part time game… their game targets People who want to play a FF Game therefore it delievers massively in story

however i got bored because i simply ran out of things i could actually do… the game doesnt have enough to do every week by a long shot, u could raid log that game very Quickly.

Im sorry, but when it comes to f2p Allowance and more all statistical evidence kinda goes out the window… because u cant measure it. im not saying FFXIV isnt successful.

but FFXIV is designed to spike in popularity over time. Their Newest patch is about to come out. so OFCOURSE they gained 1.5mil, but they’ll fall again after the contents complete.

its like WoW, do u think i Unsub when i take breaks from WoW? nope… and u always hear about tons who dont we just keep paying xD. Same with FFXIV, if ur actively playing a game your just on a break generally u dont unsub. i once remained with a WoW sub with 9 months inactivity Kappa

No they are not harder. Like at all.

but it does help. because ur statistics are based on the loot system we currently have.

Now u can spam the same dungeon on lower levels for faster runs to speed up the Dungeon clear to get the item to then upgrade.

removing the need toi worry about the Level u do that specific dungeon on. opens up more groups and more… not to mention your talking a VERY SMALL Niche that chase “BIS items”. the vast majority are not chasing “BiS Items” they’re just looking for decent ilevel rewards.

Each piece took you at least 3 weeks to get. VP capped at 1250 per week. Gear items, that mattered such as legs , chest or helm were over 2500. Meaning at least 3 weeks of capped VP to get one item.

hillarius that hardcores are getting even more content from blizz when Ion is showing middle finger to majority of wow playerbase givign them nothing to do.

Doing same dungeons for better gear on higher difficulties is not new content. And what did you expect? That you will run your low lvl +2 keys than go and buy 220 itemlvl? Entilted much?

i got my first loot in raid in 2 months last night ! (ofc it didnt drop for me only kind soul who had better piece from GV given it to me :slight_smile: )

such a shame 90% of my gear comes out of GV.

why not. considering how you will literaly never meet me in game how would it affect the way you play your game ? im very curious.

im nothing more then bunch of 0s and 1s for 99,999999999% of playerbase . how me getting my gear affects your gameplay ? i could be AI for what you care - we will never meet , we will never play together. yet me getting gear seems to be somehow problematic for you.

unless you treat this game as life and equalize killing dragons and trolls to achieving something irl besides nice way to waste your free time.

Im doing 18s and this will allow be to upgrade 4 slots.

And this system is very conservative, but I do believe it’s more to test the system and it will be fleshed out more for 9.1

I actually don’t think this is aimed at top end mythic plus players, it looks more likely to be an attempt to breath some life into to ‘collapsed middle’. I think it’s trying to tempt back those who in bfa worked up key levels a bit more slowly but in shadowlands are not bothering. All dungeons at +5 or +10 are reasonable goals for such players and likely do offer a little gear progress through valor if they hit them.

It’s probably a bit too conservative I think though.

And why would players bother with higher difficulty levels if they can get same gear by doing faceroll content?

Hope you realize that this is mmorpg. And mmorpgs are supostu emulate real life dynamics what are just set in fantasy universe. Eveething you put into the game will affect everybody. No matter if you do it or not. You are one of those people what think that war in Iraq wont affect them becouse its not their country then wonder why price of oil went up.

WoW became popular when it was literaly easiest mmorp on the market back in 2005. the harder it was the less players it had.

Son your idea is to get rid of all difficulty levels, keep current lowest difficulty and just throw high end gear on everyone. I have bad news for you. If aqusition of gear isnt directly linked to player effort aka you get it for doing trivial content players quit playing game becouse such reward have no value for them.

I make my own keys I only do my own keys I dont do anyone elses keys why use my time progressing another players Keystone?

I actually have found that now i have 220s Applying to my group… its Actually making my life Easier amazingly. ofcourse this is Short lived and it isnt going to carry on

the moment the 220s have their items they’re farming they’ll move on. and go back to doing 10x 14s for their vaults on top.

the fact though in this short space of time… i have 220s 1.5k RIOs and More applying to my +10-+12 keys is by default increasing my chances of Succeeding. its also pouring in more players applying to my group which gives me good choice.

so no. its Actually helping me… make ur own key. invite the 220s urself.

Heres some realism.

Over time i will get +12 Gear thats Upgradable. over time those pieces will upgrade to 213… over weeks i will earn 223 Gear from my vault over time i will achieve a 235 Legendary.

This Will in itself lift me above 220.

The problem is this system is launching in the middle of a Season which means Right now it doesnt make alot of sense because so many are already above 220. however on the brand new season in 9.1 this System will work far better.

after some playing with the system… my intentional thoughts may have been too heavy. its not perfect… no system will ever be perfect… but it does do the job.

the closer i get to 220 the easier a +15 gets to time…
