[A / 8.3 themed Riot RP] Hysteria 👁 - 6th of Feb

It just sounds like you’re desperately trying to find a way to argue with me, my mang.

You’re probably just replying mindlessly without even reading what’s said.

Agreed 100%

thanks for the fun event

Well, I had fun being a disillusioned night elf for a spell, thank you for the fun event.

Enjoyed this a lot, Wallard went out getting bashed into a pulp after taking out two guards!

I did enjoy watching the event whilst it lasted, I couldn’t take an active role because of the spam. I noticed a few things that made quite a lot of sense from the riot’s perspective, lowkey plan to incorporate them into my chars.

DogthĂng, could you go to the Trade District about this please? Thanks.

That’s an epic way to go!

my night elf had a falling out with the pavement in the end after a draenei headbutted her.

Had a fun time. Kilner surprisingly still lives! Thanks to the aid of medics! But, he may have to retire from guard duty now.

Also, don’t understand the weird hatred this received. It’s just RP, no need to get so upset by it.

You’ve been owned and now all you can say is “you’re just arguing with me without reading…”

Damn

Or, now bare with me on this one because you might kick yourself for it

I had a great time on my human, getting more and more riled up until she tried to stab some guards and was knocked down in return… then trampled on cause the rioters were rioting

Yeah it’s hard with that many people, but everyone I tried to stab I whispered, and people were doing the same to me. So we made it work!

Just a shame about the usual outside forces trying to shut it down, calling us words that are inappropriate for the game.

I thought it was great, even though poor Gerald didn’t make it. All he wanted was a new boat. . .
My only disappointment was the laissez-faire reaction by some people. You’d think that people being killed and throwing stones at guardsmen would illicit more of a reaction than, ‘Urgh, these dead people are so gross?!’, or, ‘Oh no, not THIS again’, but maybe that’s expecting too much from people.
Still, for those who took it seriously, I’m sure it’ll have a lasting impression on their character.

Spent first half of the riot hiding in Cathedral catacombs after being forced by evil monstrous paladins to build casket for deceased Horde supporter.

In terms of what purpose riot can have in RP, it´s really about what you make of it. You shouldn´t expect character development to be spoonfed to you and event doesn´t need to have a villain or resolution, it can simply serve as ground on which you can develop your character further.

One thing I would suggest for future though is to have it a bit more balanced. I did not take part in Embassy part so can´t speak about that, but rioters got quite easily into the Cathedral, which really should have been better defended (in similar fashion to how Stormwind Keep was protected by guards at the end).
People doing OOC stuff in /yell or complaining about PCU or Perroy is something that can´t be avoided in event this size, so even though it didn´t help with the immersion, it´s not something that should be blamed on organizers. Even with all that, it was much more interesting than normal Stormwind RP and with rioters avoiding 2 of the districts that are used for RP, anyone who didn´t want to take part wasn´t forced to, so overall, 5/7, very nice.

Oh no, i wasn’t blaming the PCU for it at all.

it was a great event, just annoying that are so adversed to it disrupting their 2nd life RP that they have to go pseudo IC to try and ruin it.

That was a fun event! It was awesome to see so many people come together to do this.
Of course, you have your OOCers and the haters. I think I saw one just sitting all alone, not role-playing at all, but really going to town on hating the role-play. They didn’t find the event ‘sweet’ enough, I guess?

And of course, the usual ‘PCU’ haters. They don’t count much because they barely do anything constructive worth mentioning.

But the event was extremely fun! I was a butcher among the crowd, crying out for when his son was going to come home since the war was suppose to be over. Given a spear by a fellow rioter, he was hesitate to engage. After all… He just wanted this son to come home.

A stray bullet later, he would never see his son again.

Meanwhile, in the keep, armed with a rifle, his son fired into the crowd, trying to remove the armed individuals to prevent them from attacking.
Oh dear.
How tragic.
