And looking across at the characters that arenā€™t, theyā€™re not actually involved. Theyā€™re just chilling in the background like myself.

Really enjoyed the SICK guard RP as Knight-Captain Kowalski. Perroy did it again bros. :+1: Another event to go down in the books of AD history.

Oh yeah. Props to a lone draenei who tried to convince my butcher to return home. There were many great people who rose up in this event! Give them a shout out! Let their role-play be heard!

Hey gamers,

My part in this event is winding down so I will make a post now - though there is still a huge amount of RP on-going with guards chasing down the remaining rioters, priests tending to the many wounded and bystanders trying to stay safe in the sudden outburst of chaos

Iā€™m happy with how that turned out and am even more happy with the turnout - I planned for much, much less participation but tonight has shown that (though sometimes begrudgingly) Stormwind isnā€™t all statues / social RP. It was pretty fun and I hope people got a kick out of it despite the extremely fast chatbox / chaotic atmosphere

My one regret is that I had the NPCs characters - who were throwaways, as Dogthing says, which was something specifically mentioned / requested in the OP - the rioters were meant to lose - for most part play as riot-aligned characters because my previous experience in Stormwind suggested that most people side with the lawful / reasonable guard & military group over the rabble. Instead we had such high levels of paricipation (and sometimes from characters perhaps a little too strong for footmen to easily subdue, as intended) for the riot that the guards were on the back foot and some story elements - like the death of Lady Evenbrook / her passionate pro-peace / pro-Anduin speech - were somewhat lost because of that. Of course there was an issue of the usual suspects rolling alts to yell malicious semi-OOC slurs that donā€™t belong in the Warcraft setting while joining the crowd, but ultimately thatā€™s the reality of public RP on this server these days

I think despite that it was crazy / fun enough to create narratives beyond what Iā€™d planned - as people in this thread are saying - so itā€™s not a massive deal. Thanks for the RP, fellow AD gamers :fist:

Quite afew of us express intent of making the ones we made, whether Guard or so on, to be kept as characters,

So may Cpl. Richard Moorfield ride again!

To be fair, you couldnā€™t of have predicted this outcome.
But yes, it was slightly overwhelming, but the aftermath created for a lot of lovely RP scenarios, where our characters could be meaningfull.
Besides the meme yells, and the outnumbered guards with a sudden push in the Cathedral it self, wich I did not really grasp, this event was a proper riot.

Whoa. I have to thank Perroy & the rest of the PCU for organizing this.

This is the first time I have participated in a big RP event in YEAAARS (excluding one or two smaller ones I didnā€™t care for much). It was so much fun & really reignited my love for RP. I donā€™t wanna dwell on the few negative things that are not really worth elaborating on anyway; all I can say is, I hope to see more of these absolute BLOCKBUSTER scenarios!

Oh! Lest I forget to mentionā€¦ a little birdie told me the renā€™dorei will not soon forget the events of this day!

A piece of parchment has been stuck to one of the memorial plaques at the Lionā€™s rest.

Illā€™thayen Malā€™athis was a sentinel, a wife, and a mother. She was a loyal soldier to the Kaldorei for years. On this night, she was slain by the guards of this city.

She lost much when the Horde attacked Teldrassil. Her home, her friends, her husband, her left arm. Her four year old daughter. And then, like the rest of us, left to live on the streets. It drove her mad.

She joined the riot not out of want, but out of need. We have not had justice for Teldrassil. All we WANTED was justice for Teldrassil.

And instead, Illā€™thayen, and the other brave Kaldorei who fought for us, were killed by the guards as if nothing more than a Horde soldier. Killed like her husband and daughter were.

Illā€™thayen Malā€™athis will be remembered not as a traitor, like the guards will claim, but a champion. A champion of her people, and a champion of Teldrassil. She was our Jaiā€™alator.

This was brilliant fun! Thereā€™s something really quite freeing about rolling up a throw-away character, and having them express ideas and views that your actual characters would find loathesome! Surely if any of my blood elves had met this dwarf, theyā€™d have choked with her own plaits!
And then broke the truce they were rioting about, I suppose.

My character didnā€™t die, but she did get arrested, see that arresting guard suffer a rush from other rioters allowing her to escape, and immediately ran straight back into the very same Riot-Breaker as before and arrested again by a second poor sap of a guard.
Now she sits in the Stockades, waiting for a chance to tell King Wrynn exactly what she thinks! Unlike Saurfang, she probably wonā€™t be let out and allowed to voice her opinions.

Thanks tons people who attended, who responded and reacted, and who hopefully got something affecting for their actual characters to take away with them.
I similarly apologise to anyone whose emotes or dialogue I missed. Feel free to take a whack at Watrus when you ever see her; Iā€™ll let her be punched in the face for any of you. (Except the ones spouting ridiculous OOC guff, of course.)

Had a fantastic time. Poor Pnurtiss Sanders - lost his sister to the Forsaken, his pie shop claimed by the state as a home for refugees from Darnassus, and just couldnā€™t take it anymore. He saw an outlet for his rage, his frustration, his need to just blame something or someone that he couldnā€™t help but follow the crowd.

As he went to strike someone attacking a fellow rioter, he was promptly stabbed in the gut and disemboweled. His body was dragged to the canals, and (after some time) relocated to the catacombs beneath the cathedral. But not before an enterprising human (you know who you are!) robbed his lifeless body of his last memento of his sister - a tarnished golden locket.

This was a terrific event and every moment was enjoyable. Not even the haters could bring the mood down.

Within the Mountains overlooking Stormwind City, a band of rioters, who in truth were agents of the Twilight Hammer Cult, lay low. They had completed their mission, furthering the casualties of the riots by killing dozens, even downing two high ranking officers. They celebrate their victory, taking the riots as a win for the inevitable forces of the Old Gods.

Very cool event, Perroy! Thank you! I played Grayson the Mad, whom died very quickly to some guards. And then a kingsguard, Thomas Schmidt. Who had his heart removed. All in all, great fun. Hope I provided some entertainment to my murderous buddies too.

Gotta give a big F to Hrothmir Stonemug. Man was a President in the making.

Was that the corpse in the canal? If so, that added a -lot- to the general feel of brutality as the riot itself started to lose power and people were dying left and right. Great stuff!

Now to OOC, I was disappointed at first due to the sheer amount of lollers, fliers in the sky and the epic ā€œPCU is badā€ RPers joining in on the griefing. As time went on and they left from being bored, it became one of the best events of the year! Huge thanks to the team responsible
