:noooooooo:
I can work with that. Thatād save us a bit of back and forth if it was presented earlier. Fact of the matter is that people donāt generally use that mindset when they roleplay in a world though, and it should not be asserted onto them. Doesnāt mean your thinking is -wrong-, but it does mean you shouldnāt expect everyone around you to follow it. That sounds fair?
True, but a lot of magic observed in game that holds any true consequential gravity takes time to cast (unless youāre an arcane mage, like mine.)
Edit: And should be cast as such, with appropriate time for people to respond.

Iām actually 100% confident that the Kirin Tor has a modicum of jurisdiction in Stormwind through the Wizardās Sanctum. We see Kirin Tor banners inside the Sanctum, and I know Andromath was a member of the Tirisgarde during Legion.
If I had my way, the Home Guard would have 2-3 Mages who are strictly responsible for enforcing Kirin Tor laws on other Mages. And they would be our so called āmagic policeā.
I donāt expect her to follow it simply because I canāt force her to. But that doesnāt mean my belief is gonna change.
Iād take the āmagic is dangerous and therefor should be regulated into the groundā approach.
Casts counterspell, presence of mind, charged up & two arcane blasts
Considering I have never met two different Mage RPers from different communities (i.e. strangers) that have been able to agree on how magic works, having any sort of āmage policeā sounds like a quick way to give yourself and those around you one massive headache.
What in the maw am I looking at?
No wonder you are so anti-RP, Dogthing.
Iād take the ālore is cool and interesting and should therefore be followed in the realm of common sense instead of weird fanonā.
People would do well to RP it as such
That is your prerogative. It is only an issue if you try to assert it onto someone else. Are we in agreement on that?
It has been so far, lol.
Now you know why I donāt like our lawbook.
The books have a basis in lore, since theyāreā¦ You know, in-game.
Sure, Iāll even give your post a like.
Heh, that inspires me to RP a lawyer.
Iād have a lot of fun making those laws look foolish.
Laughs in Cloak of shadows
Please donāt, I have severe issues with people RPing lawyers in WoW.
It could also mediate the fact that some mages think theyāre invincible/untouchable. Having a bunch of Kirin-Tor mage police turn up when some god-tier mage is popping off like a crazy would be cool
I feel like thereās a story behind this sentimentā¦ do go on! Iām interested.
No need, but aight! Then I see nothing wrong here.
