I’d argue there’s more traffic coming from the harbour these days; given it’s the only Alliance oriented harbour in E.K., which is probably where Elves and Kul Tirans enter the city. Outside of that, Dwarves and Gnomes likely come from the tram - as do [I imagine] any other travellers coming to Stormwind from the north. The land routes into Stormwind are fairly rubbish, since… what is there south of Stormwind of note / what absolute madlads are traversing Searing Gorge and Burning Steppes.

I know this subject has since been moved on from, but I would like to point out that according to the Legend of Stalvan, Elwynn Forest suffers from severe winter rains that renders the road entirely unsuitable for travel as well.

The conditions are so bad that Stalvan is forced to wait in Goldshire for the rains to subside before continuing his journey to meet with Tilloa’s father.
