"We do not fight for the sake of it. We fight because we must."
-Sir Kalious Briarcliff
Heed the call,
We are at war with the likes of the Horde once again and their advance throughout the Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor continues to prove that they are nothing but resilient. We call upon those of the Alliance to aid in House Briarcliff’s cause to flush out the scum that has since laid siege to our beloved homes.
I have been with many through my years, both of good intent and malicious. Though in that time, it has tempered both my blade and my mind and has proven to be a fundamental advantage in being firm but fair to the people under my banner, something I will strive toward when we are upon the frontlines of war.
Our ambition is to keep the lands which we call our home unbroken and allow no advance to the Horde’s war machine to keep the safety of our people and our lands absolute. Take up arms and seek us out within the city of Stormwind in the name of the Grand Alliance.
Esarus thar no’Darador,
Sir Kalious Briarcliff
- Patriarch
The rank and title of Patriarch, both ICly and OOCly stands at the top of the hierarchy and serves as the primary officer of the guild. Honorbound to look after the House’s members and oversee ALL operations. The Patriarch also takes command on the battlefield and stands as the voice of reason in conflict among the brothers and sisters of House Briarcliff.
- Commander
The Commander stands as second-in-command when the Household’s hierarchy is taken in to effect. Having much the same tasks of the Patriarch, it is also the duty of the Commander to ensure that no ruling of the head is unfair to those of the House, serving as a guardian, both of the Household but also against any that would seek the alter the House’s ways and responsibility.
- Knight-Captain
The Knight Captain is the upper echelon of the House’s knights. Considered an elite among the ranks, the Knight Captain, when the hierarchy awakens will take most priority in command when neither the Patriarch or the Commander are available. This rank is not fully considered to be the embodiment of chivalry or honour, but does the epitome of the Household’s values, seen fit to safeguard the very monarch himself.
- Spymaster
Accomplished tacticians and masters of espionage, the Spymasters provide both the Patriarch and his small council a constant flow of relevant and important information of enemy movements as well as keeping an eye on potential threats that loom within their vicinity while also fending against foes of House Briarcliff. These individuals are hand-picked by either the Patriarch or the Commander showing a fine level of respect and trust in said person with confidential information.
- Knight
Knights of the House are those of the anointed who have rallied to the banner of the Oaken Tree but have yet to take an oath of fealty. Those of House Briarcliff share a mutual respect and understanding that no knight should be expected to swear full fealty to the House before they have had a chance to decide if it is truly fit to be called their home.
- Magus
Master of the arcane and other magical properties, those within the ranks of the Magus act as the ever knowledgeable seekers of such and spell-casters alike. Each holds to their own specialisation though fits within the rank all the same along with fellow mages, conjurers, enchanters and sorcerers to provide the Household with ranged support upon the front lines of battle.
- Clergy
Those who have studied the ever useful properties of the Light can find refuge within the House’s Clergy. It has continued to act as the Household’s holy atonement sharing a range of Fathers, Brothers, Sisters, Healers, Maesters and Clerics to aid the wounded and confess the sins of previous works before the establishment of said Clergy. Those whom embrace the holy Light will forever have a safeguard and a watchful eye over the people of House Briarcliff.
- Squire
With a Household of knights follows of course the hopeful men and women that wish to pursue their own path to knighthood. Following their mentor into war, these young knight aspirants are also expected to shine the armour of their knights and keep the weapons intact and steeds ready when asked of their respected overseer.
- Bannerman
Whilst House Briarcliff harbours primarily knights, it is not impossible for outsiders to join. Some join because they have friends in the Household, others seek a greater purpose without wishing to sign onto a military contract, and others may merely join to prove their capability on the battlefield in the hopes ascend into knighthood. No matter their reasons, House Briarcliff and its people are considered equal when it comes to public meets, debates and similar occurrences, although they are expected to maintain a respectful tone and conduct around those above in the awakened hierarchy.
Other Information
- Focuses on RP-PVP and indulges in day to day Casual RP, less DMed Events.

- A majority of races/classes are allowed within the ranks.
- The use of void or shadow magic is highly frowned upon.

Introduction
A once dormant guild now reformed and inspired with the release of Battle for Azeroth! We seek to recruit a vast selection of individuals ranging from Soldiers, Knights, Merchants, Spymasters, Squires, Clerics and many more upon the front lines. Our travels will be taking us mostly to Old Kingdom of Lordaeron and the Arathi Highlands while taking interest in the land of Kul Tiras. We also wish to establish a foothold within Boralus when we gain a few more members for a continuous flow of dedicated and casual roleplay whilst keeping eyes on the occurrences within the Eastern Kingdoms.
Roleplay
We want to explore both the regions of the world with the company we accumulate as well as the stoic laws and regulations of a household guild providing individuals with character development, immersive and interactive stories/events while keeping a standard that is approachable for both new and veteran players within the World of Warcraft Roleplay Community. As said, the recently boost in activity within the North will aid both ourselves and any Third Party guilds or individuals that wish to fight along side or against House Briarcliff to defend the North and keep the border unbroken under the banner of the Alliance.
Recruitment
You first join as a Bannerman, a new member of House Briarcliff for potential character development and a continuous, developing story. All those that wish for a Knighthood can squire under a respected Knight, learning the ropes and forming kinship along the way. If you’re a soldier or have previous workings within a disciplined and militaristic environment, we WILL respect your character’s backstory and will find a suitable position within the guild that best represents your previous history and experiences. If you wish for further information, gimme a shout on Discord or chat to me in-game via the whisper channel!
Small Update:
YES, we’re still about to some peoples disgust! I’ve had to unfortunately make this a brand new topic in regards to the guild ad as 30 days passed with little to no activity behind it on my previous thread! This is my fault and mine alone. I trust with the info and amendments I’ve implemented since then will give a boost toward activity, especially with the upcoming RP-PVP Campaign we’ll be attending come May! See you there.
