[A/RP] Wisplight Willow

Wisplight Willow

Our Information:

Wisplight Willows are a community primarily made of druids and priests residing in Nighthaven, dedicated to the preservation and restoration of Kaldorei society after the burning of Teldrassil. They blossomed as healers giving aid to those who sought refuge from the fourth war in Moonglade, refusing to turn away anyone who came to them.

With the armistice in place within the alliance and horde, the Keeper and Matron of the Wisplight Willows seek to try to repair the broken bonds and rejuvenate the Kaldorei’s homelands to their former glory—focusing not on vengeance like so many of their kin, but instead on granting the sense of community and companionship that was lost during the war.

Our Goals:

To offer a sense of security: After the fall of Teldrassil, the kaldorei have had to reconsider their place in Azeroth. Wisplight Willow seeks to provide a sense of community within the survivors of Teldrassil once again, offering homes where they have been previously lost and safety from what may try to cause them harm.

A place to learn: We provide a space for people to learn the art of druidism, or if they prefer, to learn the teachings of Elune. This varies from lectures to sermons to just offering a place for anyone of any race to learn, as long as they are willing to learn.

A place for social/casual RP to thrive: Wisplight Willows seeks to offer our members a place to have casual rp at most times of the day, encouraging random RP within Moonglade for both our guild and other guilds, or even the guildless. We truly hope to bring Moonglade to life.

A place for events focusing on working alongside nature: Kaldorei society engraves itself deep within nature and we have no intention of straying away from that. We want to offer our members plenty of events working with nature and Elune to rebuild what was lost. This may include things like, working with the wisps to build new homes or combating lingering threads towards our neighbouring forests.

To work with the Night Elf RP community: We want to encourage variety in Kaldorei RP, and we hope to work with other guilds in the future for various events!

Our Hierarchy:

Keeper

Our Keeper leads the druids and takes control of tasks regarding their aid, and in teaching the apprentices seeking to learn more about druidism.

Matron

Our Matron offers guidance to both newcomers and her own priests, ranging from offering teachings of Elune to leading sermons and prayers. She handles the teachings of acolytes and priests.

Captain

Our Captain serves to watch over the other guards within the community and uphold peace. - They’re a figure others may go to for guidance, instructions and to aid with their problems.

Tender:

A druid who has proven themselves to the community and is ready to share their knowledge with others. They are tasked with keeping the balance of nature and are expected to represent the very ideals of Wisplight Willow.

Devout

A priest of Elune that, much like the Tenders, had proven themselves to the community. As well as offering guidance to lost souls and helping young acolytes learn more of Elune, the Devout are entrusted with being a true pillar of wisdom and hope within our community.

Guardian:

Those who do not follow the paths of druidism or priesthood may find themselves becoming guardians instead— offering to protect citizens around Nighthaven where they cannot protect themselves. Whilst also our own tenders and devout, they’re an incredibly valuable part of Wisplight Willow.

Thero'shan:

Meaning ‘honoured student’ in Darnassian, the Thero’shans make up the ones who wish to learn more about their desired path—if it be druidism or the priesthood. They are usually trusted within the community, and are not treated any less than their elders.

Adherent:

Citizens who are acknowledged and recognised—and even trusted –within the community, though don’t follow any particular path and do not guard their peers. They may prove use in other ways, such as tailors, armourers, etc.

Stranger:

Someone unknown to our ranks, but may be known to some, but not all. Strangers will generally ascend to the appropriate rank after a short period, once we have got to know them better!(The joining rank)

Our Rules:

Within the Wisplight Willow, members are expected to treat others the way that they themselves would wish to be treated—that is to say, showing respect to everyone, including those outside their ranks. Proper etiquette is also to be expected as well as patience and empathy for other peoples’ situations and circumstances. Lore is expected to be followed, but we’re more than happy to kindly aid with any help towards lore. General WoW terms and conditions should not be broken during your time within the guild.

OOC issues should be resolved by contacting the officers—but remember that we’re all here primarily to enjoy ourselves and have a good time!.

Our Location:

Our main focal location is Moonglade – Nighthaven. Though we plan to be venturing outside of Nighthaven for a multitude of different occasions in the future. Trips are being planned like, visiting different groves to tend to the lands, or visiting communities and guilds, like those in Astranaar and Feralas.

OOC Information:

Recruiting Officers: Elrandon Wispbarrow (IG: Elrandon) / Vivilene Dusklight (IG: Vivilene) / Faradael Amberhide (IG: Faradael).

Who can join?: We will take any Kaldorei bar Deathknights and Demonhunters. - Though we will willingly work alongside them, if acceptable. We do include -male- acolytes of Elune as an acceptable member, but they will be expected to work extra hard to prove their devotion and faith. Mages will also be requested to act respectably and not abuse their arcane abilities.

Worgen are especially welcome within our community, along with any other race that in time may find themselves desiring to reside within our community, but we are primarily focused on Kaldorei and Worgen RP.

How to join?: Contact us OOC via the names granted above, or leave a letter in game. We will talk you through the joining from there, including an OOC chat and then an IC meeting.

Further questions?: Contact us in game! Poke an officer or any member online, or comment below and we will reply ASAP.

Due to forum structure, this was posted too early, please hold, changes are being made

This is actually clever commentary on the generic nature of the recruit-all, directionless Night Elven guilds that routinely pop and fold a few times every month.

After a long night of stressing over how to edit without accidental posting. - I grant you the finished and complete Wisplight Willow thread! :last_quarter_moon_with_face:

If this is the goal I’d perhaps recommend Hyjal instead (as we see Tyrande with the intention of gathering Sentinels there and sending them out to find Sylvanas). Nighthaven has been “neutral” land since Classic, so I’m not sure if this is the best place to work on those goals that are very centered around the kaldorei.

Perhaps you can elaborate a bit more on this bit:

… and the role the Horde plays in your concept / Horde druids and visitors.

We’re actually quite happy that Nighthaven is a neutral area. - Hyjal will soon become a focus on the Black Army and that’s something we do not desire to partake in personally.

Whilst we have no objection to working with Horde, should they partake, especially people like Tauren druids, who’d likely be the most common visitors. - The reason we didn’t list completely as a neutral guild is that the state of Moonglade is quite ‘hazy’ right now, as we’re not fully sure where it stands neutrality wise, as there has been no lore in it.

So, those who join will have to be aware of the chances of meeting horde, but in a safe zone.

Nighthaven is such a wonderful zone and truly it’d bring us joy to see it filled with more life. - Able to aid the Kaldorei guilds who often venture there to rest after battles and to aid heal them if wounded.

Now that my earlier joke has flattened, it certainly turned out to be a lovely thread for what seems to be a quite a genial guild. Long life & prosperity! :four_leaf_clover:

Oh… I will definitely keep my eyes peeled for this, the concept sounds so in tune with my druid. An old frail druid might very well seek you out :evergreen_tree:!
