Hallowfall is my favourite zone by far. I love how you fly into the big cave but then wait a minute there’s a sun inside here - inside this cave - inside this underground cavern. When I saw that, I literally said aloud to myself “wa wa wee wa” (Borat) and then my real wife came into the room and she also saw my screen and said “wa wa wee wa” (Borat). Anyway, Hallowfall is my favourite zone.

That was the straw that broke the camel’s back, but it wasn’t the sole reason. You were kicked of other PCU guilds for that.
Of course, have to maintain the whole persona that you are a victim.
You were spoken to multiple times, especially about your quarrels with the other people in the guild. Or did you already forget?

You are the one that came back like you are in the court, trying to prove your innocence, only to be kicked for your attitude by calling 300+ members in a discord the b word. You must’ve suffered insane bullying if you have to come and apologise for “a few things” in order to be getting back into the community that apparently hoisted its sails to go out of its way and harass you.
Nah, I got mad cause you were told to cool it off multiple times in a span of your… what, 2-3 months of being in the guild, and it completely fell on deaf ears, and then Talirei had to explain to others in the PCU why you were even in the guild in the first place after so many errors and attempts that were given to you change your attitude, up until your, as you put it, holier-than-thou victim charade was put on display in the main discord.
Edit: All in all, its hardly surprising to me that you continue malding over it 2 years past, keep going

First of all, I would like to thank those that have come to this thread with open and reasonable minds, this has been overall a very surprisingly positive interaction.
That said, perhaps it is time for us to settle down and agree to simply wait and see what the future holds. There will be plenty of opportunity for A³ to prove itself and the simple truth we’ve been preaching: Just wanna play the videogame and have some good ol’ RP.
Some of the back and forths here don’t seem like they will truly provide anything, instead they will only cause to tarnish the positive environment and create unrest. So I urge to just let them go.
I will say this one last time for everyone: Every A³ officer is quite reachable in-game and will answer any question or concern. Thank you

A big part of the issue is that things were rarely discussed constructively. There were always accusations thrown around but rarely substantiated, people with gripes would never actually voice what they were and things were always vague, hearsay or fabricated.
‘Dogpiling’ happened, though it was never orchestrated as some would believe, a post linked to a community would elicit numerous replies just by virtue of the number of eyes on it; there were even numerous, unsuccessful attempts to calm these kind of frenzies.
Over time people became numb to it, it was always the same spectres haunting the group, so internally people just circled the wagons and went to war, as it were.

I think that’s a fair sentiment to hold. Humans inherently desire a sense of finality, and this being a situation without the ability for that will suck for a lot of people. But anyone who could apologise, the people they would want too, aren’t here and likely won’t. It’s a very grey void and it sucks for a lot of people, PCU and A3 guys included. There was a lot of frustration in the community itself over how things all ended.
For my own part, and to be clear, I was in the community for 3-4+ more years than most of the people posting here and a lot of them can probably tell you I have my own laundry list of grievances from all that time. But, ultimately, I’m nearly an ancient 21 now, I’ve watched Gruggosh go from Peon RPer who sometimes rped with HoC to Stone Guard of HoC and A3 leader, and nowadays I just think that my efforts, my happiness are all better focused elsewhere. I’m never getting a sorry from the people I want it from so I have no reason to care or continue.
I know this is a very old-fashioned belief but it really is to me just “get on with it”. I won’t gain anything from listing the 500 sins of ages past except making myself feel more like a tired bureaucratic worker so I just don’t see the merit. This thought process isn’t for everyone of course, and a lot of people for what reasons they may have, fundamentally can’t compute with that sort of way of dealing with things but I feel like it’s worth the effort sometimes to just go, “yeah, life good, world good, crazy pixel rp drama ends when I unplug the cable” on my own part (though that very much wasn’t the solutions of a younger me, as others here can also tell you).

I think you’re also in a rare position of “privilege” to have been able to actually talk to people that matter about these issues and be heard. This has not been the case for most until… Well, frankly, this exact thread.
It’s easy for members of the PCU to say “just get over it, it doesn’t matter”, because they weren’t hurt by what was being done. Ofc “anti-pcu’ers” arent all angels who never did any wrong, but a lot of the sentiment grew out of disparate experiences from all across the community, not some united front. (all attempts toward such a thing have been cringe and are doomed to fall under the same bullying and policing the PCU have always been accused of)

More often than not, because we’ve got diametrically opposed opinions but those opinions are complicated enough that they can’t just be dismissed with “shut up ur boring + wrong.”

Gods I wish. If the grievances of me and my fellows were heard we’d not need this thread in the first place, but poking fun aside I do understand what you mean. I have the knowledge of people like Hartuum, Gruggosh, Watrus etc. on a layer many won’t because they weren’t in the community at the time. I know them to be Human, and good people who try to do best by their members and guildies.
A lot of us did sometimes, but again, in different ways I think. A different sort of frustration and annoyance to those outside the community. It’s tough to put to word. I hold the bias of having watched people shed genuine tears in the hundreds over many emotional RP moments created solely by the community’s existence and I cherish many of those memories as I do the long-term bonds I’ve made because of it, the safety it offered.

I think I get you. If anything, a mixed (but overall positive) experience is a lot easier to swallow/deal with than an overwhelmingly negative one. I bet the witching hour forum posting debuff isn’t helping any of our coherency either.

I will say that if there’s any actual cause for concern in how people act though, or have done something bad, to have receipts. Have some proof, because it puts people in a very awkward spot. Imagine if you will, you’re approached by somebody saying X member has said Y things.
Okay, you know the person and it seems out of character, so like anything where something happened in any other situation be it work or otherwise, you need to see the evidence. Except, you have nothing to show, so it puts somebody in an awkward spot of “okay well I can’t do anything about this because it’s your word versus theirs, and I’m not really going to lean into the words of somebody I don’t know without the footage”.
Acting like this should be not the case is kind of silly. Onus is on the individual making the claim to prove said claim. If it’s a serious problem, we would handle it entirely seriously if something shows that somebody acted in bad faith, toxic, or worse. If you’ve got nothing to show for it, we’re going on word alone, and action can’t be done on that for some things.
I bring this up because there’s usually a lot of things flung at people of “the PCU did this” and to nobody’s surprise, when asked for the proof of these claims, nothing is presented. It’s a regular thing. It’s still happening, even in this thread. I don’t want this to carry on to A3 because something happened in a skype chat many years ago with people who aren’t even in A3 at this point. I think that’s a fair thing to ask for.
When you get enough of those thrown your way, you have to be a little walled off in terms of accusations thrown out there. Accusations turn into misinformation. Misinformation turns into hearsay and whispers. Hearsay and whispers turn into pointless internet spats and vendettas.
I do not have enough hairline left to sacrifice to cling onto those, bros. Save your own.
Likewise, nobody’s expecting somebody to have screenshots from over 5 years ago hiding somewhere to prove somebody’s a scumbag, but that can be asked as a different question: if it’s old enough that you didn’t care to not have proof, isn’t it old enough that you probably shouldn’t hold onto the grudge without the receipts to prove it?

Personally half of my experinces with “anti pcu” people is being given 0 chances. Can’t even get an explanation out of them and if i do its being called the scarlet crusade gamer word where its like “Can’t really do anything with this, its not really constructive either to be called slurs or a criminal.”
Rightfully its their choice to do and think what ever they want
The other half is just saying they disliked it and would prefer to not interact with it as a whole but fine with just rping with who ever is infront of them, which i like more.
Personally think its a shame that the route some people took was they cut people out of their rp by the community they are in, but again their choice.
Also fun fact, people i knew blocked me on discord the day i joined PCU.
All in all i think some people are a little too happy and quick on cutting people out of their happy little bubble, i get it that its a hobby but man i still think some people are too quick on the trigger as if they are just looking for an excuse.
RP with more people creates more rp simply just by rping. Its crazy i know. Just rp.
