Second reason is that I and several of my friends are members of LGBTQ+ so it’s a personal matter for us as well.

I do think things will likely be better for the discussion for everyone from either side of the discussion if you don’t share or use sources directly from a hate blog that is well known for straight up lying about many things and being equally as anti-LGBTQ+ ,if not worse, to what the problematic people in the PCU was.
Two wrongs don’t make a right.
Otherwise it is a fair question to ask though, as Demoniaco pointed out.
It was never an issue, several members were openly LGBTQIA+, but I won’t speak on their behalf and it’s their choice to share their stories or otherwise.
It’s just the same old song and dance, it’s very tiring. 8+ years of low-tier gotcha posting mixed with out and out lies, out of context clippings and fabricated ‘proof’. You’d think people would move on, but they don’t.

It’s important to remember that AD/Discord was not (is not? Not sure if it’s still a thing) a PCU-ran Discord. It had members of the PCU in there, but it was not “their” Discord and not “their” members.
I understand the concern - when I made the anti-homophobia thread a few years ago I was even told I’d get pushback from the PCU over it, but they ultimately were some of the loudest voices of support in that thread, support which I’ve seen echoed and re-emphasized in the years since so I personally think it would be unfair to argue it as “performative” - it seemed, and seems, pretty sincere to me.

The flimsy bit of evidence mister master baiter has provided is a screenshot from a public discord from probably 2016-2017, evidence that surprisingly I cannot find as it was deleted.
He did spend most of his life watching said discord like a hawk so he could screenshot things the instant they were posted, for moments like this, so I’m not surprised he got it before it was deleted by a moderator.
It’s me. I am COAD.
Honestly scrutinizing that screenshot for all but two seconds a couple of things became clear
- The poser had a white name, meaning no rank?
(I was never in this Discord so I don’t know if they simply didn’t do rank colors) - The image was posted in the middle of the night, the same day the screenshot was taken, anyone can post some weird
in a Discord, screenshot it, and then have it removed later when moderators are actually awake.
Maybe if the image wasn’t cropped so heavily, like the context of the previous post’s timestamp as well, it could have meant something. At this point, any and all context and validity have been erased by the sands of time.
It’s really simple. Be who you want to be. Our guilds include members of the LGBTQ+ community.

I can assure you - the image is real and many, including those in this very thread, have seen it with their very eyes, while being on that Discord server.
It also lasted way longer than Shewp tries to make it look, the message was kept intact by silent approval of moderators, including of course Dear Leader himself.
Order of Oronaar is full of misandry. They refuse to let you join the guild if you’re a man('ari).

Moderators were quite online and even communicating. Midnight was/is also their most active time, as if you don’t know?
Total tangent, but the thread is doomed anyway at this rate. But I just have to stress that one thing I absolutely hate about any drama or situation like this on AD is the fact that people either don’t gather any evidence for their claims, or when they have it they either spoil it themselves by cropping it, or refuse to post it unless it’s for some cheap “got’cha” years after the fact.

Incorrect - Midnight isn’t out yet.
But also I do genuinely doubt that Midnight was the most active time because most people, if not already asleep by then, are doing their wind-down routine and not actively moderating Discords.
