A thread which should be unnecessary: OOCers

lmao catch me not RPing on this RP server.

What you gonna do about it RPers?

If that’s the level of behavioural compromise it takes to turn away a handful of OOC players, it’s really not worth it anymore.

To be honest mate, you should see us folk who RP on LOTRO.
We’re stricter and more likely to report you for your name and if you just mess around during RP.

As said not following the rules set out can get you banned from the game on the RP servers. Profiles with a bio section and all that. Been able to play music (lute, drum, bagpipes, flute and so on.) I rocked out a few on the lute and harp such as “Now We Are Free.”

tbqh chief I’ve heard that Wyrmrest Accord is better quality than AD so idk

Honestly, if the RP community is hostile to an OOC element because Blizzard hasn’t helped us out by giving a quick-pop up when somebody rolls a toon on the differences between RP realms and normal ones it can’t always be left to the community to “educate” them. It’s tiring.

That + people don’t react well to you proclaiming yourself an authority on who/can be on the realm which is why end up with long-haul threads asking people to RP. We’re the last proper RP realm, etc, etc; it makes sense to guard what you have.

They would, however, probably be deterred by a little box of informative text stuck on the screen. I’m not saying we should teach people how to behave, I just want a “Realm Types” sub-section in the player guide or smthn that’s all.

You pay my £320 to move all my characters to a different realm up front and find a guild which does progression mythic raiding with a active realm community OP then sure

sorry it’s not my job to put you on the right realm you should have chosen the right one in the first place

Have you ever tried RP? Honestly, you might like it. A lot of people don’t intentionally roll on RP servers and get into it. (Imagine LARP without the sun exposure, or D&D without having to make eye contact whilst you do your best female elf voice).

I’d rather pay you £320 for some eye tests so you don’t accidentally come to a realm you don’t need to be on next time

Yes I have participated, not in a few years no but each for their own reason of course when it comes to dropping things. The closest I get in regards to RP is games which kind of just dump you into it through the means of things like Divinity original sin where most of the interactions are done with NPCs and your own party.

And even then its not something high up on the to do bucket list given current end game content appeals to me alot with the the maintaining of 3-4 alts is hard as it is

After the banger job you people did promoting the RP community to these OOCers in this thread I’m sure he will

Well, the dude clearly like the “community” enough to stick around/roll the first time, so…

oocers dont know how truly cursed the AD community is
