A thread which should be unnecessary: OOCers

its just true though isnt it

This comment might be unnecessary. But when i first came to Argent Dawn (It was in Legion, by the time Tomb Of Sargeras was about to open) i was flying around Dalaran on my raiding server, being afk just waiting for next raid tier to open, and once it did, i still kept flying around the biggest tower of Dalaran, waiting for the next raiding night.

Anyhow, i found my way to Argent Dawn and someone showed me the TRP addon. So while i was waiting for my raids, i’d be AFK on AD instead, reading profiles, and sadly i have to admit, i laughed… Alot. I could never get into the whole idea of WALKING and typing out long emotes about something mundande…

I was part of the problem.
But slowly… I got more and more intrigued by the idea of making your own story… Creating something much greater than just smashing buttons in the right order for highest DPS. And i made a copy of my main character and tried to actually RP.
I was new and holy hell, now when i look back at my first IC interactions… And the concept i had for my DK back then… Is straight out cringeworthy to the point i wish someone had just punched me in the face and said “No… Bad!”

Morale of the story… There’s not much going on in game at the moment… And being on a RP server is a great way of having time move faster. Reading profiles, or observing RP… I just hope, that the people doing it, will one day take the same leap i did and actually immerse themselves into their own RP.

Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with OOCers on Argent Dawn.

As long as they don’t disrupt anything they can stay. This thread is unnecessary.

Your opinion is worth much as the amount of money you spend on your active sub.

The fact I’m not subbed 24/24 doesn’t make my point less valid. This alarmism has been present since way before I stopped playing. I doubt that in two months the situation has changed much.

Playing on an RP server when you don’t even RP is almost as bad as posting on the forums of a game you don’t even play

There is

Because they do

Why do you still return to haunt these forums, don’t you have anything better to do?

What is this?

I used to think it was fine. Epecially people that have been here for years and are pure raiding guilds.

Now though, no. From what I can see the only people that tend to grief with mounts/annoying toys are OCCers that are bored. If you want to raid Mythic progress, you obviously are willing to invest a lot of time and effort into the game. Why not invest some irl gold to move to a realm that you’re a much better fit in and have much better chances at doing the specific content you want?

im not surprised you’d make the comment you did since you think things haven’t changed

i suppose you don’t know about (not super impressive) pvpers ganking rppvp events and people who happened to be tagged for pvp in cities

or the influx of people running into big group rp and shouting rude or innapropriate things and generally ruining the atmosphere

He has managed to remain 17/24 hours subbed per day.

I still care about the community? The fact I have taken a break for a few months doesn’t mean that I won’t be playing it soon.

This entire charade upon other people’s motives is as ridiculous as it can get.

i can only guess you’re that guy that makes them think its ok by interacting with them on an ooc basis, making you very much part of the problem

Tbh your attitude assumes there is a problem when it’s not there.
/the end

I hate it how this is the biggest lie he tells everyone.

how about you read this entire thread and stop acting ignorant you dumbass

There is a problem though?
Town Crier RP has been filled with descending OOCers spamming things, going on mounts and the like.
