All I can say is this: /hug
While it is of course annoying to get kicked, I do a lot of TW and really struggle to remember instances where this happened. May be once? Almost all the kicks were justified (afk or rude). So I dont think it is that big of an issue…
This not only breaks immersion though, but it also doesn’t account for the very small but existing amount of players who have Normal and Heroic (maybe even M0 too) dungeons as their endgame and may not always make it to the end. Imagine spending 30 minutes in a dungeon and having to quit before the end, with absolute 0 reward.
If there is no debuff, people would just leave Maraudon/the Oculus/whatever dungeons it’s fashionable to hate right now and the ones who queued into them because they have a quest or whatever can never complete them.
v2k is a very useful tool when someone is slowing you down in a group.
As others have said, if the Healer wasn’t doing their job role properly, then you should have put the V2K out first.
But it would be interesting to know the other side of the story. Maybe you took avoidable damage which killed you. Failing to do mechanics properly is a good reason to get kicked.
And? is that really a game breaking issue?
If people want those dungeons quests done they can very easily do so at a later level. With 10 wow expansions released that gives 10 areas for new players to explore before hitting TWW. It is not unreasonable to expect them to cherry pick easy routes. If for whatever reason you wish to choose an unpopular route, then have at it. Just understand the response it will receive.
If you want to cherry pick easy leveling routes go spam extra objectives in WoD and let the people who enjoy dungeons enjoy them instead of insisting that it’s a non issue. Every dungeon deserves a chance to be completed, in an engaging way and not soloing it when you’re overpowered.
But they should be punished!
You’re probably right about that.
I’ve rarely been kicked, even when struggling to play something and doing appalling dps. The dungeons are over and done with so fast.
Ofc it’s a nuisance to get the debuff if you don’t feel you’ve done anything wrong but the system exists for a reason.
Thats nonsence. Ppl expect a dungeon run like a speedrun with big pulls. Ppl just have to slow down. If it was hardcore wow they would be playing safe. If i do timewalk as a healer, often the tank runs far away out of range. I dont know their brains. But they just have to slow down. Also i dont know how big the xp from other bosses are. But like classic timewalk they skip everything and goes straight to the endboss. Thats nice about tbc and wotlk dungeons. There the bosses are in 1 line. Also sometimes they skip trashmobs. And if they pull too big and we wipe then we wasted more time then just kill everything.
Also i dont know about lvl 22 warrior, but we once had a lvl 10 protection warrior in timewalk zul’farrak. I got aggro, i asked him to taunt when then some
Party member said. On lvl 10 the warrior has no taunt. Its very annoying if you have a long queue as a dps you are getting this kind of lvls. A tank should be able to get the aggro back at any time to prevent group fails.
Also when i going to heal i try to have the best possible armor and weapon to make the heals bigger and make it more easy for myself.
When i join as a new healer i say when its a first run so they know it. If i am doing bad then if i get kicked i have to learn more. Its with my fresh boosted monk, evoker and demon hunter tank. But because good gear it would be more easy. Also yesterday the tank died a few times. I whispered him after and said srry and suggested him to use the deathknight enchants on weapon. I said that when i did that on my deathknight it became very strong. My deathknight died often before the weapon enchant. The one that heals x % over 8 seconds. He then said thnx and it was his first tanking dungeon aswel.
Oh yeah… be fun for trolls to kick you on the last boss after you killed the others with nothing to come out of it…
Yeah no, terrible suggestion.
For what?
They have what they wanted from the dungeon. It is never game breaking even when the tank or healer leaves. HC and normal dungeons are just attendance events for alot of people. There is zero challenge to completing them.
If blizzard really want to block this activity, then just don’t give loot out till the end. This “punishment” system ignores any genuine issues people have to continue in the dungeon. It is narrow minded solution based on cost that penalises innocent parties.
Yes because they should complete what they signed up for or face the penalty.
Then assign the loot at the end. Penalty systems are inherently bad for many reasons. The most effective systems are always reward based initiatives.
Or stay to the end.
i mean you done key stone explorer does not give you a wide scope to comment in m + really
such a silly take, not everyone plays at high level for many reasons
That is a very naïve assumption that people care about others. A large portion of the people who play wow are selfish. Expecting people to have morals is going to be nothing but a disappointment for you.
How many times do you see TWing raids where selfish people join for the first 4 bosses only then leave. They have the end boss done with a skip run, and then decide they want the others at anyone else’s expense. Unless you put a physical block in place they will always be this way.
Man, I can 100% see this situation happening, this is so typical wow pug behaviour
