What is the current content in Nazjatar? Leveling followers? We are now to Uldum and Vale. Mecha and Nazja are done. Previous content with an old raid.

At most I’d suggest to make rank 1 essences purchasable with some sort of currency. But completely account-wide is a step too far in my opinion.

Who are you pests to set up stupid rules “your alt shouldn’t be on the same level as main”? That’s your worthless opinion. Many, many, many, MANY people would like to play an alt (so they would keep logging into game) but knowing how much BORING CHORES they have to do before being able to finally have fun with game is overwhelming.

NO ONE asks here for free bis mythic gear. All people ask is:

• either make essences account wide
• or make it obtainable through ANY content (like many people already said, currency to buy any essence you want)

Those extremists are so pathetic if they were a game they would be called Warcraft 3 Reforged.

And of course they will keep parroting the same thing over and over. Blizzard won’t give you alpha access for licking their boots.

It used to be ppl had a class and they played that class and spec only, maybe with an extra alt

Think you’re overestimating the catch up mechanics.

Also getting a m+ done on multiple classes takes time, especially if you have a main you want to put extra focus on.
Dunno, don’t think you really know how much time alts can take away from a main, and vice versa.

Essences isn’t gear, and I haven’t seen anyone ask for free gear.

If everyone has access to the same power increasing mechanic on their main then there is no problem to have it on alts especially since you already worked to unlock it.

The actual HUGE PROBLEM is that people that skipped a season or two and are coming back to the game now have to go back and do outdated content in order to be competitive for current content, and this wasn’t a thing in the game since TBC.

Second one. In tbc, if u have a static, or raid group, theyre can easilly help you to skip content of previous patches.

Nazja is previous tier. Previous ilvl loot. It is old, forgotten and i never get there back. We have the 2 new area’s now.

Only difference between alt and main are essencse i like how it is now.

It must be nice to be so in love with BFA and its progression that you prefer to do that grind in every possible class.

Most people do not feel that way and will either chose to focus on 1-2 characters or to use the rest of their time playing multiple games instead of running the same treadmill 12 times.

In Legion I had the fortitude to get do all the mage tower challenges for all 12 of the classes but in BFA the progression system is even worse.
Rep grinds is the absolute worst content in WoW.

People against BoA essences have probably a lot of time to dump into the game, because really there is no way you enjoy a main change/playing alts in this patch if you don’t have 12 hour a day to waste in this game.

I was planning to swap main in 8.3 so used the dead time in December to prepare my new character slowly so the transition was not that bad.

But holy cow I wanted to play a VDH as an alt and I actually quitted probably 4 hours into 120.
When I realized that I have to grind Nazj for Stand Your Ground and Mechagon for Null Barrier.

Or go back to EP if I want to play Havoc in raid.

Well fck it tbh, once I will get bored of my main i will stop playing. They are for sure not encouraging me to play more, but to play less actually.

Account wide essences is a terrible idea. Do you want fresh 120s blowing through all content because they have top essences already? It’s like heirlooms for max level. Also not fair for new players.

It’s not that without essences we don’t burn through content with an alt, there is so little of it that you burn through it anyway. A fresh alt could be HC raid geared in a week skipping questline, wq, assault, wafronts etc, couple of days if you have a group that pushes you a bit through m+
And it will be fine not having essences if the game wasn’t tuned around having 4 of them at rank 2-3 to do hc content.

It’s like the new m+ season, it’s tuned around corruption and corruption items procs. If you have it you’re gucci, if you don’t, you’re limited.

So no, account wide essences are much needed to make alts viable. Unless blizz wants us stuck on a main, and with that, good luck keeping people subbed after they’re done with the limited content available.

my endgame goal for WoW is to have all classes at decent ilvl so when there is some content i can pick right class for it.

You want alts for features like transmogging and Timewalking where you can easily get somewhat decent entry level gear (425 atm) and more importantly 500 badges which can you use for reputation grinds. Just this weekend alone I have just maxed out five BC reputations with one more to come and also unlocked the +80 Exalted Reputation title.

The essences won’t play any important role when SL comes out. In fact, most of us will start farming the BfA-dungeons with green 9.0 gear then.
