Innocent until proven guilty, how many times do we need to repeat the same mistake?
“women who get harassed and abused should come out with their stories”
Women who got harassed and abused come out with their stories
“iNoCcEnT uNtIL pRoVeN gUiLtY”
“pRoOf tHo?? hehe eksdee”
If there is no evidence then they are not guilty, anyway it’s not me who decides that it’s the court.
So I will just wait and see, but innocent until proven guilty still stands.
Last time something like this happened at Blizzard it was false, and the person was proven not guilty.
I don’t know much information about that Method drama, but I remember how many people started hating Kael’thas voice actor and then he was proven not guilty.
So different situations should be handled differently rather than a blanket statement like you made?
This is all about money.
This is super messed up… Since this is an investigation that has been going on for two years already and they’re being sued by the state, I’d imagine people would take this a bit more seriously.
Allegations on Twitter are one thing. An investigation that’s been going on for a while already is another.
Also, anyone who thinks flirting and giving unwanted to attention to anyone who doesn’t want it and isn’t interested is remotely okay, should school themselves on how to be around other people.
but innocent until proven guilty still stands.
except life doesnt work that way, its not black and white.

My statement stands, we shouldn’t jump to conclusions before we know things for a fact.
except life doesnt work that way, its not black and white.
The law does.
More details are being identified by people on twitter including this in regards to racial discrimination:
People read the report and are still trying to defend Blizzard?
lol.
one of a few things that makes human a human, separated from an animal, is its ability to critically think. and somehow you lack it, out here defending r4pists and what not LOL. disgusting
It’s quite ironic you defending women, when I have screenshots of texts you sent to me months ago that would be considered sexual harassment and really inappropriate.

Please do all of us a favor and post those screenshots. Im 100% sure I’ve never in my life harassed anyone, but since you’re gonna accuse me, may as well make me guilty.
It was law to have people of different skin color enslaved, and people of different orientations being treated like mentally ill.
Please lets not go off on a tangent.
I posted about the article and filing to make forum posters aware. While it is my view that a two year investigation by the state that has lead to this filing is pretty damning, you are going to get a percentage of the playerbase that will not believe it is true until the trial is concluded. That is their right.
It is the people who are trying to downplay or justify the allegations contained within the filing that are of conern.
Flirting with the other sex at work is always a risky issue , one does not mix work and love or lust whatever bunch of novice, besides their do seems to be more than consensual flirt, a woman already took her life on top of complaints.
this is really sad news if true.
and whether guilty or not, time will tell. i kind of doubt the state spends two years investigating and money into something without some sort of evidence.
Very harrowing, since it’s been an investigation over the past couple years that means this stuff has been going on for ages and still possibly ongoing. Frustrating the articles only hard name one person for doing it but it seems like there were a lot guilty of it. Wondering if this is the true reason old devs and higher ups have been leaving over the years and not what entirely what was speculated before.
The reality of working in a corporation, big yikes.
It’s 2021 and women are still discriminated and abused, in the freakin US, while working for a company that made a big deal about inclusion and acceptance. It’s all bla bla PR stuff.
This company is going down in a blaze of glory. The scandals are rolling one after another. I will not be supporting them financially anymore.
Why do I get the feeling that Gamergate was very much the tip of the iceberg and that it will soon come to light that it is not only Acti-Blizz that are going to complicit in these kinds of acts.
Touching someone against their will or spreading nude photos of them is obviously a crime, but with other stuff like comments or “flirting” is a grey area. I can understand that it would make someone uncomfortable if they get unwanted attention, but it’s very easy to reject someone and make it clear you want nothing to do with them. For example a female colleague commented to me before and said “she likes my muscles”. Do you think I can file a lawsuit over this deserve a million dollars now?
Unfortunately, there have been plenty of cases where women have recieved abuse and even been killed for turning down someone. Yes, that includes politety telling them no.
It should be that easy to be able to tell someone no and the other person moves on with their day and never do it again, but that is sadly not the reality for many.
