Guess this settles the question of why Afrasiabi left the place last year without any announcement whatsoever from the company.
The fallout from this absolute crapshow will be spectacular to watch though.

No wonder why for e.g. customer support went downhill when such thing happens.
You expect your tickets answered by not a “drunk” employee? That explains why we receive auto-bot answers.
The status on the paperwork is “filed” and the next part of the procedure will be for the defendants to respond. Based on the response there will then be “discovery” after which the pre-trial and trial by jury happens. This sounds like it’s multiple people who sought counsel from lawyers and then submitted the evidence that was collected until enough of it existed to allow a trial to be called for.
Generally, a trial can only happen if there are enough facts to support the case. You cannot post such information in a public place (as one person above tries to suggest it had to go - i.e. claiming to put it on twitter). Alleging that something happened is not the same as having, as has been reported in the news, “having the receipts” which means you got written, printed or recorded information that proves that something has happened. Even having proof that person X earns such-and-such while person Y earns a different amount (X is the female, Y is the male in this sentence). Typically WHEN a court case is called for it’s because there is credible evidence to back up the complaint made. Unless you’re a certain Ms Guilfoil in relation with the son of a certain “45” where she was the person doing the sexual harassment (as filed by a former colleague of hers) then yes, it’s generally more men than women who find themselves in hot water.
Unrelated, but one person says this is “super messed up” but maybe anyone who is a male player needs to do some self-reflection as the typical in-game “joke” has been, for as long as I’ve played and long before that, the so-called “GIRL” aka “guy in real life” with the claim that female players don’t exist and always assuming it is “girls” when referencing female players in the end. I’m long past the stage of my life where the noun “girl” applies. YES, I’m a female player. Maybe if THIS is messed so is the behaviour I’ve seen happen in-game at times in the game made by Blizzard, who is a co-defendant in the case. If you’re going to condemn the situation happening in this court case then ALSO condemn any male player who has behaved in a derogatory manner to any female player. Don’t comment such things as “girls should dance on a mailbox” as that makes you the frat boy inside the game itself. The behaviour of company staff does not give you a right to do the same. Don’t always assume that a player you meet is male. I’m not one to hide I’m a female player but it was a tough road towards getting resilient enough to be able to do this and it came about as a consequence of dealing with a stalker who I had to report to Blizzard for many infractions. If you’re serious about the effect of what happened has on the female employees, then remember there are female players to give respect to at the same time…
We have as much responsibility for our behaviour as we expect from the employees at Blizzard.
You see an article detailing harassment and a work culture that led to the loss of life of an employee and this is your reaction?
This news is heartbreaking and you are celebrating.
Seek help.
To anyone quietly dismissing it, shrugging their shoulders and saying it happens everywhere or saying they can’t wait until it blows over, YOU ARE A PART OF THE PROBLEM. Several people have confirmed that the environment at Blizzard is toxic as all hell and in particular, the WoW team stands out. Please seek actual help, the women in your life deserve so much better.
I fail to understand why anyone is surprised. This happens wherever there are men. It is endemic throughout society. Until there is a sea-change in the way boys are taught, it will continue to be a problem that girls and women are supposed to just put up with.

Nudes rarely pops up from out of nowhere…
Wow, a female employee committed suicide after her nudes were leaked? thats horrible
So?
Does the fact you have a private password, or diary, or whatever else mean I’m okay to share it with whoever I like? Even if I discover it without your consent?
The fact the images existed for whatever private purposes doesn’t justify them being leaked whatsoever.
You probably have never been in a relationship with a girl but it’s kind of normal in relationships to the couples to exchange revealing pictures.
oh this explains the downfall of Blizz games, no time to do good games, must thouch women, joke aside, this aint that supricing, it happens all over the world, and the bigger the company the more it happens, even someone might argue that no it doest it does, the scale of it happning is then different offcourse.
Where those photos came from at the first place tho’
She sent nudes to someone, what about it?
Innocent until proven guilty, how many times do we need to repeat the same mistake?
Because it’s the internet Serena, that all knowing, never judgemental and is always infallible internet.
Not the kind of entity you want to cast judgement on anyone or anything.

That’s a pretty bad take dude… I find it hard to believe anyone would go around saying “feel free to share these with whoever you want”.
Not going to defend Act-Blizz, but in LA, a men is entitled to beat his wife using a strap thinner than 2 inches without her consent. Don’t they have more urgent matter to solve like this stupid law?
I find it hard to believe anyone would go around saying “feel free to share these with whoever you want”.
Victim blaming… just shows how idiotic some people are. ShE aSkEd FoR It gUyS!
Blizzard shills in shambles gotta defend company even in situations like this
gotta defend company
why blame a franchise
Guess which company owns it.

Who’s defending anyone?
Either you take the position that you believe the lawsuit alone is substantial evidence of wrongdoing by Blizzard.
Or you adopt the position that regardless of the accusations in the lawsuit, then the case should go through court and then afterward, based on the ruling, you determine whether or not there’s been wrongdoing by Blizzard.
No one is going to rush to Blizzard’s defense when the lawsuit hasn’t even gone through court yet. But likewise, no one’s going to dismiss the lawsuit, because clearly it’s been deemed credible enough to proceed to court.
Personally it’s wait and see, because judging either party prematurely can be rather damning.
