AI art and AA

Tbh i don’t even like it when the checkout machine says thank-you to me at a store, it’s pretty profane.

That is what some more advanced AI do as well- If they for example get the joints or digits wrong, you can give it feedback and it will do better next time.

A process not dissimilar to human learning. We put less emphasis on things we know do not work, and more emphasis on things that do.

But where I would argue the process becomes muddy is an AI will always have those experiences and data unless there is data corruption, whereas with humans they either forget or bury it in the subcobsciousness.

You are right that the current AI does not really understand what is it doing. It gets the job done as accurately as possiblebased on feesback, but it does not understand the “why” it works.

Seeing way too much AI popping up on Argent Achieves and I am not that impressed by it. I do not even need to click onto the picture to enlarge it to find out if it is AI or not, you can see clearly that it is.

At the end of the day, I do not mind people using AI art for themselves, but I do not like seen it plastered around AA.

Okay, your continued anthropomorphising of AI is making it clearer and clearer that you’re just not that up to date with the concept of inherent worth.

How does me discussing creativity or the-lack-of-it of an AI have anything to do with inherent worth?

Because in a thread largely about how AI is theft, essentially screwing a lot of people over, and berefts art of its human element, you continue being like “ACKSHUALLY, humans don’t really understand intelligence that much and machines can learn too!!”.

It’s getting really tired.

Actually the thread’s original point was asking if you’re fine with it or not, much as I agree to it being theft he’s just expressing his own opinion, but I suppose that’s foreign to a guy that calls everything that doesn’t agree with him a strawman.

If you’d bother to scroll up you’d see this

And that proves you’re the one that hasn’t bothered to scroll up, but slay I guess.

How does me stating a fact that we do not really understand intelligence as a species yet - And that we lack a comprehensive theory of intelligence let alone consciousness, have anything to do with whether AI is screwing artists over or not?

I already expressed my changed opinion about this after I read Acrona’s thorough points. Throgann was kind enough to copy that message.

But Ai beging theft doesn’t take away from the fact that AI can learn in some way that is similar to the way we do it (which is not a surprise, it was designed by humans, after all), but at the same time we don’t really fully understand how it picks some patterns over others.

My takeaway from this is that because I’m correcting people about dismissing or exaggerating what an AI can or can not do, you take it as me approving of theft- Which, I consequently do not.

Abominable Intelligence.

Gabrindion, not AI. I couldn’t give two farts about AI art. It’s too obvious that it’s manufactured and is always uncanny.

That’s rich coming from someone who apparently doesn’t care about AI art and only comes in here in a cheap attempt to dunk on me - which seems to be what you do in most threads tbh.

haha tilted.

Sometimes I wish you would use an AI to generate some good arguments rather than resorting to the victim card at every turn.

A man can hope.

Great song by Christine and the Queens.

Please don’t derail. This is a thread about AI generated art.

Once again:

Using AI art is the equivalent of a blue check mark for your TRP profile or AA page.

Shame to see that he’s still being irrationally toxic to people for discussing the topic instead of falling in line, 3 days later.

Maybe take a little break from this topic big G :+1:

Not the best comparison since one is a free alternative for something you’d usually pay for and the other is paying for something that is already free…

But I do judge people using AI for anything other than a character reference.
