So they aren’t even worth it over a 636 ring, because a 636 ring gives more stats overall, even when the ring is upgraded to 642.
Whether the ring is any good or not depends on your spec I suspect. With certain gems it can be bis

Sounds like they released unfinished ring that is not balanced that should not even exist in its current state.
Well we all know blizzard and balancing.
I don’t understand why after proving even with pruned classes they still struggle with balancing, that we believe they will magically balance something more complicated next patch / expansion

Eyati when fully upgraded the ring will be your BiS and same for all classes and specs until early season 2
All the info is there, no idea why you are being so pedantic over it, you can not expect a BiS ring to be given day 1 of the patch.

We have 2 many class and spec’s dks/monk/dh/evoker been added since base game its all got to bloated.
Yes they are. The effect of the 3rd gem outweighs the stat loss.

If anybody is struggling to get the Shuddering Hollow Event gems. Try looking for a group farming torrents in custom group finder. Or any way to join a different server/phase.
My server had the event bugged consistently where the “event quest” would disappear before the mob was slain and thus not possible to complete. We would chain these events to unstuck it somehow but no success.
Joined a “torrent farm” group through group finder, asked them nicely, completed the event on their server. Success.
If you kill it really fast it seems to work.
What? The ring that is BIS after 6 upgrades isnt BIS after 1?

What is Torrent farm? What do you mean?
He can expect it, but that doesn´t make that expectation realistic. 
That said, he´s palying Demo, one of the handful of specs that it´s a sidegrade for, if he already has 2 good 639 rings.
That´s the thing, many of those complaining about it not being BiS for them even w/ all the gems are blindly assuming that the WoWhead guide BiS lists, that themselves assume you have full 639 gear and pull numerous itemy in Myth track from teh vault, actually have anything to do with their gearing situation @619 or below,… Which is, with all due respect, wholly ignorant of how things like stats DRs actually work.

Yes Shuddering hollow is Buggy AF…
The primary issue being that people stay near the entrance or come running in late with a growling pet, causing the “boss” to charge out of the WQ event, and /or don´t do enough damage to kill it before the collapse triggers.
If everyone stays near the middle or in the alcove, it works just fine, first 2 gems were easy mode because of this, but I have over 30 tries on the third becasue the more people wake up and come over, the more people come rushing in late or AFK at the entrance…
