Well thats what you get for a small cheap patch with nothing worth logging in for. People will skip this and plunder storm and probably be back for next raid.
Should have been mini raid and a gear bump people would have been back.
It’s completely skippable content the gems will make no difference.
They are not available for all, the events are bugged and dont drop all the citrines for everyone. Multiple people have reported in chat that there are some citrines missing. The bosses dont drop them anymore. One of the bosses constantly bugs out and drops nothing.
Well the ring increases by item level every week so how can a free ring that gets more powerful be a side step confused
Fix the drop rate of the keystone shards…
Because in for ex the case of demo lock the raw stats prodided from 2 ideally itemized(!!!) 639(!!!) rings are actually more useful than than the procs of even a 659 circlet.
This does not apply to the vast majority of specs, though, nor to a demo-lock with suboptimal rings and /or that isn´t already close to true 639 BiS (I.e. not LFR/NHC/Heroic “BiS” ) 
This is why it´s important to fully read class guides and not just blindly copy the BiS lists and talent builds…And of course to consider one´s own gear and what gear one realisticaly has access to. Becasue with for ex Eyatis iLvL of 330 (which I assume is either style equip or a forum alt), the ring alone does more damage than he does, even if not worn but used as a projectile weapon

Since this ring will be easily obtainable for everyone and will be a higher item level than any other ring you can obtain you will be using it in a final gear setup. With the availability of all Citrine gems, once you obtian the full setup below you can equip the ring at consider it best in slot.

uhh well i have got all of the stat gems socketed in to this ring right now every time the item level rises so do the stats by the time this thing is max item level it will be better then any other ring available i dont see why people want the max item level right away thats just lazy
I expect a little more then its just better as proof, by the looks of it its a downgrade and its actually item level should be lower in reality at current ring power.

Have you heard of raidbots? Go sim it yourself.
Last was told wowhead then i check mythic+ and it says its not BiS now people saying raidbots which is’t updated to work on all gems yet, heck it does not even see what gems are equiped and just picks the default.
All they Have to do is just put 2ndaries on ring.
But Blizzard tuning team just Has no clue
