Give healers more tools to do the things the party cannot do, so they their job becomes essentially to compensate for the mistakes the group makes, only problem is if they make no mistakes, healers become useless so actually buff their dps and make it their secondary job while healing, and buff their dps to keep them relevant.
They should keep Shamans as they are and bring all other healers up to their level. All healers need a ranged interrupt to start with. Numbers also need to be tweaked of course. All this has to happen fast or people will just quit. Not many players return to the same expansion after cancelling their subscription. Things have to be good at launch.
But that isnt because spec is bad, that is because it has low popularity and nobody even plays it .
Look at past seasons where brew was seen as âgoodâ it still had fewer numbers.
That is just temporaly , its quite a jump from 11 to 12 and people are scary . Also this is something that DK always suffered from , apart from s3-4SL where it was busted imortal .
Thats because it is top ? Only best of best play that , and if its even 1% better they will play that .
Also , even if we take that as a legit way to look at things , 4 out of 6 tanks did top 100 run, guess how many healers did ( hint , its shaman only)

Exactly, its night and day difference , just like going from 9 to 10, its quite a jump because another affix.
But with healers, it doesnt matter what key level, what comp or what dung u play, rsham is always best answer and by a mile , and thats the issue .
Iv had no problem getting into keys (got KS master last night).
Only slightly higher ilvl than you so I donât think this is a problem at all.
Your problem, I would guess, is your m+ score is 700. Youâve only completed half the dungeons in m+. Noone above a 3 or 4 wants to trust their key to a 700 score.
You might not like it but do each on on 2 to get your score up. Then 4s then 6s and then a few 7s and youâre Gucci.
Canât speak for +10s but that doesnât seem to be your problem.
I got KS master in less than 20 runs as a Mistweaver doing the above. It ainât hard.

I havent tried a 12. But I know people that did. And this is what they tell me:
In 12+ and above, the tank is literally getting MAULED by white hits. Not tank busters, not mechanincs. For the tankbusters ALL tanks have some CD to deal with them. Its the WHITES you get at ALL TIMES !
And that is why PWarrior and GDruid are so prevalent. Because they are the 2 best tanks to deal with white hits. Shield Block and Ironfur. OP for physical damage !
And what does RShaman give in this situation ? It gives a permanent 5% DR with Earth Shield, and permanent +10% HP with Riptide. That is what it gives to the tank. PLUS whatever the Aug is doingâŚ
That is the requirement for doing a +12 at the moment. Or else your tank simply cant survive the 1st pull. Literally !
And this happens because the 20% modifier is multiplicative. Not additive. In other words, it buffs by 20% the BASE damage of mobs. Which in turn gets modified further by Frotified and Tyranical by an additional 30%. And THEN, to that number you add the +12 key modifier (+300% or something like that). It gives absolutely bonkers damage.
Now. Anything bellow a 12+⌠you DONT have that modifier. Therefore, ANY tank is viable. THEREFORE, you dont need a 5% DR, or an Aug. THEREFORE, you dont need an RShaman.
The only reason you PREFER an RShaman in lower keys is because of utility. Namely, its interrupt (that Ele and Enh also have) AND curse+poison dispel. Which should be normalized to Magic instead. Both are easy fixes.
NOTE : The 5% DR of earthshield was nerfed to 3% by the way. In line with a HPala Dev Aura. Except that Dev Aura is the whole party. Not just 2 people.
I donât know who is supposedly acting like you described, but the healer balance situation in m+ is VERY bad indeed. Most people donât blow it out of proportions, but instead describe the terrible reality. Almost 50% of healers in +10 are playing ONE heal spec. There are 7 heal specs in the game. Thatâs unbelievably bad.
Not to mention +12 and up, where you see imbalances the most.

it is sooooooo much more difficult to heal any mechanic on holy priest than other healers.
i had an rasier time to heal on 590 hpal in a +5 compared to my holy priest with ilvl 612
thr healing numbers are just not right brsides thr difference in def cds and utility compared to other healers
Then people should invite other healers.
Not talking about 12 and up, that is for proâs and a very low amount of groups anyway. That is about premades building comps. When something provides 0.1% better you will see indeed 80% participation of that spec on those levels.
My answer to why that data is absoultey useless to asses the popularity of specs.
When we talk about a +12. We are currently talking about the equivalent of a +30 in S3 DF. And the moment issue with 20% damage affix is that an 11+ is the equivalent to a +22 in S3 DF. And between 22 and 30⌠NOTHINGâŚ
And what baffles me is the lack of understanding of the community about this fact. S1 of WW is unique. You canât trickle down the meta like you used to.
It is not a gain as people think. Its a net LOSS !!
So unlike HPala in S2 DF and MW monk in S3, that were genuinely OP beyond measure, or RDruid in S4 DF being the only provider of CRâŚ
Shaman isnât special in that regard. People simply copy the meta and are genuinely idiots about itâŚ
Iâm not getting any invites on my holy priest to any keys above 6 pretty much with like 1800ish score, lol. People also donât want to join my key. Had a tank join and ask why Iâm playing holy priest and then he left again.
They need to fix the other healers. Iâm considering more and more just bailing on this season every day thereâs no holy priest buffs, maybe the whole expansion depending on how long itâs going to take them.
I get invites on my paladin as tank but I donât want to play that as my main, itâs an alt but itâs better geared than my main and has more score. This is the first time this has ever happened and itâs absolutely ridiculous.

when season is as ridiculous as this one - ofc people will soon demand total meta even in +4.
because stuff is very very very hard for 95% of people who are not tryhards ultra pros.
blame blizzard for this mess. instead taking actions they nerf like 5 spells on bosses and think that job is done when what they should have done is like blanket 30-40 % to all dungeons.
or removal of both fortidied and tyranical so that casuals can progress.
