I’ve seen posts suggesting that it is back in the last beta update. Not sure if they meant in the files or actual in use
Did a check with the default UI settings and the bags will open over the top of the 3 central toolbars (1,2 and 3) so you can’t move things in bags in those areas. How something as daft as this got through testing beggars believe.

I find it funny that I posted something about the ‘new’ UI and somebody found it necessary to report it, apparently. So! I will just repost it again!
I hate this new UI with every fibre of my being for several reasons: Firstly, nothing about it has soul. Nothing. If it is for the sake of modernization they shoulda never implemented this change to begin with. Let people use their bloody addons for that. They have done so before, they will still do so now! Atleast that way, if something goes wrong, Blizzard can say: “Sorry chief. Shoulda stuck to the original then.” Which will happen now aswell, but this time Blizzard WILL be responsible.
Secondly, if you make an alt without being a newcomer to this game, and start out on Exile’s Reach you cannot even access ‘editmode’… Why? Why should I, as a player who was FORCED to use this weak excuse of a UI if I wanted to play, not be able to atleast change it as you so desperately felt was a ‘much needed feature?’
Thirdly, people who WANTED this change are already complaining about the rushed nature and enormous amounts of bugs.
Fourth and finally: why? WHY!? Was this released without the option to opt-in or opt-out the old UI? WHY? Cause if people come up with a story like, ‘they needed to redo the whole thing’ or ‘it will hold them back in the future’ then I regret to inform you, they used the old UI to make the new one. So it IS possible.

To restore the old UI you need the following addons:
- Bartender4
- SexyMap
- Rare Dragon
I also use Leatrix for it’s various features.

I’ve ended up returning to Elvui, I was up to dozens of addons to get what I wanted, so many little annoying things (that are hard to even name) that elvui (I assume it was elvui) took care off.
I get there is a moment to play with this UI and good luck to you but if Blizzard banned addons tomorrow, today would be my last. I just cannot play like this. Note this isn’t UI is bad, this is I can’t play with it statement.

Bit funny that people are using addons to restore old look, addons that were made to alter the old look

Glass is a good alternative chat addon.
OT: I like it, there are some things missing, like being able to scale elements, moving bag bars and maybe snap to middle but Im glad that I can drop all of my UI addons except the ones needed for raiding.
I’ll take a look a that thx for the suggestion, currently using the ElvUI chat window

Don’t like the new UI, sure, ofc. It’s a pre-alpha product. Not only not feature complete, it’s barely working. I don’t get the people who do like it.
BUT THE OLD UI? Have you not seen UI addons? Get bartender.
I have bartender, along with ElvUI, altoholic, Mapster, Sexy Map, Bagnon and a couple new ones I cannot remember the names of atm. So way ahead of you dude

‘This UI is superior even with its bugs?’ WITH its bugs? Are you slow or something? A UI that has bugs is NOT superior, but inferior for your information. There are very few things which I personally say you should not touch, but the UI was fine as it was. Do you think the people that used UI altering addons will now stop using them because the UI was ‘reworked?’ NO. Ofcourse they wont!
As for your ‘if you cant get used to change, just sod off’ speech: if you have nothing constructive to say, and are just here to defend Blizzard I suggest you dont say a thing and leave it at this. Some people have VERY valid complaints about this UI and its ‘new’ features as much as you might not like the next expansions features.

That was very erm… contemptuous but ok. And at the end of the day some people still prefer vinyl over digital despite times changing so my point still stands and you never really made one

It’s ok but it’s not what the classic UI was. Another issue with it is the micro menu, it’s like some cheap mobile game UI but I’m not surprised with this multi dollar company.
The problem blizzard have always had is options not just with this but in game things like removing old content and mounts. This would leave more content, even farming the 5 million gold mount is content to me as it gives me something to do but they removed it for reasons.
Same with the UI. They could of given the option for players to use the old one over the new one but they removed it instead. And now we get to enjoy a buggy new UI.
‘If it ain’t broke then don’t fix it’ is a saying way beyond blizzards understanding

Yeah there is a 0.001 % of the population that prefers vinyls. That doesn’t mean Spotify has to release vinyl records for every song they release just to please these people.
