I think the Alliance would be HAPPY if Blizzard activated the ability to Q a full 40-man-premade.

Alliance premades would wait in Q maybe 5mins…tops.
Horde premades would wait 2-4 hours.

Which means Horde would not use that feature at all, since you could do pretty much nothing in the game at all during this enormous wait time. It would simply not be feasible. Which means there would be almost no Horde premades…most Horde would continue to PUG/5man max.

I think Alliance would be happy with 1 out of 10 or 20 matches being against a Horde premade if they are in turn guaranteed to always get into AV together.

Just face it: Unless a GIANT portion of the Horde either stops playing or rerolls Alliance the situation will not improve. So that is what you should be campaigning for. Or you can try and blame Alliance players who have absolutely no interest in Qing for PvP for your issues with the game.

Impossible to predict without server data actually, because as explained earlier in this thread:

the unit sizes would change. So with those unit sizes going from 1-5, people would be queuing as 1-40 instead, with those on 40 not needing to find teammates any longer from that average queue time and instead just needs opponents.

Then there are those with, let’s say, 35 people, that only needs 5 others and so on.

It’s not possible to even throw out an estimation in such a scenario, on this large of a scale, without access to proper server data.

Then there are those more likely to queue with larger raid sizes, and those less likely to queue, and so the movements in the matchmaking pools are also impossible to predict properly.

Then there are those affected by losing streaks and winning streaks and so on as well.

I’m sorry, but you are ignoring the actual most important data point…which is that there are 3-4 Horde waiting for 1 Alliance player in the AV Q.

What is the Horde player actually ASKING for here right now? To be able to steamroll Alliance in 6min matches? From what i have been reading here the Horde CLAIMS that they enjoy the new 30min+ battles against non-premades oh-so-much. So this seems to be the kind of gameplay they are looking for, right?

With an average match length of 30min and 3 players waiting in line, you arrive at a minumum of 90min wait time, which is then inflated because if there are 15 solo-players in the Q who have been waiting longer than your 40man premade, those 15 will go first at some point and their match will get filled up with players who waited shorter, which will enforce the impression on the Horde that you can get FAR shorter wait-times by Qing solo/in very small groups.

The only way you can get to a wait-time of less than 90 minutes with the current faction imbalance is by including a lot of 6min steamrolls into the avg game length - and these games will cause more frustration and forum demands for change, so they are not a stable outcome to base your predictions on while you are speculating about a fundamental change to one of the core mechanics of AV.

The faction “imbalance” combined on EU servers isn’t that big though. It’s just 45-55 split.
Or 43-57, something like that. Anyway, it’s not that huge.

It’s just a difference in desire to queue, and the premades shooting in an unsteady injection of people queuing here and there.

No. Alliance would be happy if Blizzard removed horde advantage from AV map. Pug or premade doen’t matter. I prefer pug in equal case.

“There will no longer be a number in the name of the battleground in the “Join Battle” screen.”

Where is this fix? Alliance is still having 40ppl premades.

Premade is not a problem. Horde advantage in AV is main problem. It must be fixed ASAP.

such a stupid change.

alliance finds a way to earn honor, activision “fix” it, horde clip abuse since the release of AV and no one gives a crap

The fix is there, you actually have to join the game to see the number which prevents empty pug AV matches.

I think AV premades weren’t in the (main) focus of the fix since you can simply use voice chat which is implemented in the game - so you would have organized groups, which premades simply are, too.

Horde clip is authorized by Blizzard. Same for Alliance clip is authorized in AV, but I guess you don’t know the Alliance clip xD.

Same for WSG clip unless you abuse it to be unreachable (like in the wood monument in WSG).

I have nothing against hardcore players getting ahead of the rest, this isn’t my issue. Hardcore players deserve to get the “shiny” items and deserve to enjoy it, simple as that. When they killed that and made everything welfare and brainless(Retail), the game went down the drain.

hardcore isn’t about 10 or 40 people grouping up using discord to gank low rank players …
Blizzard make premade vs premade and pug vs pug already … This is getting ridiculous, every bg is about dying once then just standing afk in ghost mode…

Any adjustments to the ridiculously long queue times?

I didn’t have the time to play when AV came out back in December 2019 because of the Xmas hassle, so I missed those sweet 5-10min. queues and now I’m stuck with ~50-60 minute queues.

Can anything even be done to these loooooong queues?

This is still not solved and more than 50% of the games are against alliance premades. Would be really cool if you developed a fix for this.

This change from one player can kill 4 to 10 made more graveyard farming

This is how the game was back in the day and nothing should change. When they listened to such complaints and inevitably killed off grouping up altogether, the game became terrible. You can safely log in to retail and experience the disaster first hand.

My issue is them killing AV as the meta for premades. That is clearly yet another uncalculated and untested budget quality change.
