Everyone asking questions; What dear Blizz got for us in store. Classic still going but once you see hunters and palas with tf, that’s a sign game shelf life is slowly approaching. Wotlk on borrowed time and retail got it’s own life.
There was some classic+ rumours in the news lately but that’s about it. But usually those rumours turns out to be true.
So here we go, my perhaps the most realistic wishlist for classic+ you can get.
Balance all classes - Yes, make retris viable just like furys and so enhancement shammys. Give palas that taunt. Good start.
Dual spec - biggest positive change since wotlk, will work for classic, we all know it.
Wotlk world events added to classic - we all like those festive events, brd boss, headless horseman etc.
Retail graphics in classic - we all love classic for it’s game mechanics…but we got 2023 ffs…
And that’s it! Nothing more, nothing less. Let people play the game the way they want. Very realistic extras that make game simply better, way more appealing even to those stuck in retail.
what is this about?
classic locations are natural and the real deal
retail locations strive for uniqueness for the sake of introducing a new content update, but its fake, e.g. blue grass and purple tint everywhere, most of the time it will be some fake unnatural generic looking discriminator
retail locations still use that crude “mobile game” graphic style, this is style is very bad if you have seen any other game
also retail is very demanding, meanwhile wotlk is easy level 10 RTX on distance 10 ultra+ shadow max, the game looks stunning
So you like the fact that classes are not balanced? Instead of having a mixture of retri palas, enchantment shamans, boomkins, pala tanks its still better to run it with 20 fury wars?
I mean I know people like vanilla but cmon.
40 raid spots where different specs can be utilised and still only using holy palas, elementals and so on. Even 25ers got more variety
Yes, that’s the rules we have to live with in Classic. Changing e.g. Paladins to tanks will be a completely different game.
Also, consider that a Classic+ with Blizzard behind the steering wheel will be a disaster. I don’t trust Blizzard to be capable to create a successfull Classic+, and WotLK Classic is a good example why: they don’t listen to the players but begin to copy functionality from Retail over instead.
You can be sure that if they indeed create a Classic+ it will be different than any of us could ever imagine. And probably not in the good way.
Therefore I stick to what I know: Classic - with it’s quirks and weird combo’s.

it’s funny that the classic andy’s keep moving the goal post despite hailing crapstic as the best thing since sliced bread they keep wanting more and more
you got both the worse version of wow and the most overrated expansion you should be in final heaven now not asking blizzard to pour a bunch of money and time in your fantasy of a crapstic +
1-Moreover give each spec a usefulness and a relevance through new sets and new content. Tanking Enh shamans, Boomkins, etc.
2-Dual spec. Or simply set up the respec to 1 gold coin, each time.
3-Not sure. Some of these events felt out-of-universe, like the “german orcs” from the Brewfest. Sure it’s a part of wotLK/Retail lore now, but it should stay out of Classic Plus, or with strong revision to have it fit in.
4-We also love the special atmosphere of the old graphics.
I dislike the disney “thick” style of modern graphics (blades especially), but I do prefer the customization level of today’s Barbershop and the transmog as it worked in Cataclysm.
So it’s a hard choice…
My main concerns are:
1- keep the max level at 60
2- stick to the Classic Lore as it was and expand from it without any consideration for BC-Retail Lore (some ideas can be used again, like a Nightborne race for example but coming from a sunken city of Suramar under an underwater dome)
3- stay serious (no Indiana Jones, Rambo or H*tler-like NPCs, no joke-like zones like Cataclysm’s Uldum, Redridge and Badlands)
4- stay meaningful (introduce neutral unlockable races like High Elves, Goblins, even Pandaren, before inventing light-eredar “Draeneï” or “Void elfes”…)
5- stay based (discover Azerothian lands instead of going in the cosmos or other planes)
Friend Panmisek, the only thing I really would not want is Retail graphics. I tried Retail a while back and disliked the art style immediately - especially that bouncy Tauren animation. That been said, I wouldn’t mind having them if they were optional - if you could use either old school or Retail graphics. I don’t know if it’s technically possible - but it would be the best of both worlds.
For me, keep the level cap at 60, make sideways gear progression for specs that don’t get much love in classic with cool set bonuses rather than just a new tier with +10 of every stat.
Maybe more 5/10 man dungeons -I like the idea of a heroic UBRS potentially dropping 0.5 gear
More or new BG’s so theres some variation in the ques, something like Wintergrasp or Tol Barad would be awesome. Could have their own rep sets but nothing that outshines r14.
Most importantly though is it has to all be vanilla themed. Keep it Azeroth bound, gritty and low to the ground, I want to be a part of a bigger world not a god-like being single handedly saving it.
Oh and no transmogs or flying mounts. Im also more in favour of remaster/retexture over a graphics and animation overhall
